Amazing food. Super clean and friendly staff. We loved sitting on the patio, enjoying an ice cold IPA, soaking up the sun while we waiting for our food. Eat there or take out. It's worth it!

Strawberry salad with fried shrimp. Very large and deep bowl

Good quality food. Really large portions for salads and nachos. The salad could feed 3-4 people, the nachos 4 plus. Sandwiches and kid meals are more portioned for individuals. Only negative was how long it took the food to come out, we had a larger party, six individuals and it took 40 minutes or so for the food to arrive -Somehow the salads and the nachos came out last after burgers and grilled cheese.

Sad at 8:30PM someone two minutes before us gets fried food but we were told grills were off but location closes at 9PM. First time at Sodus and made us feel like we were not welcome. Guess I'll take my business elsewhere and on my next trip bring my own food.

They raved about how wonderful eating out on the deck was. Inside was all wood, like the hall of a ship and rather dark in my opinion. I know it's unfortunate but we walked up to the hostess stand and the girl informed us that the fryer and the grill top were not working. We asked what were our options and she handed us a waitress slip with *maybe* 10 items on it including soup, salad and kid pizza. BUT what irked me more than their equipment being in disrepair was the hostess's attitude. My Uncle thanked her for letting us know and she had some reply like, "Yeah, why wouldn't I tell you?" Very strange. Not a simple "You're welcome." Or "Sorry for the inconvenience." I know it's not like the restaurant WANTED their equipment to fail but I think they should train their hostess on better customer service. I do have to say that the woman working in the gift shop was LOVELY. She suggested another restaurant for us to go to (The Franklin House) and even NOT recommending another suggestion (savings us from another potential restaurant fail.) So perhaps this place *could be* good but I will never know.

Still a great place . Food is good, bartenders are great and when it's not snowing superbread more

Lauren was our server and was super friendly, though she was apparently new-ish, which showed in some of our orders not being quite right. Everything was also pretty slow and the timing of dishes coming out wasn't uniform. Pizza was fine, but could've been hotter and a bit more crisp on the crust. Wings were good, but not the type we ordered. The half order of nachos was crazy big and just ok, flavor-wise. With limited options at the point, it's fine, but temper your expectations.

The restaurant is known for its wood-fired menu that blends American cuisine with creative twists and influences. My wife and I live somewhat close to Sodus Point and had been meaning to go out to take a little day trip. Her co-workers actually gave her a gift card for Six50, so we decided it'd be a perfect opportunity to go out for a nice day and try out the restaurant. The reviews were concerning, but hey, we weren't paying for it anyway. We ended up there around 1PM on a Saturday. Sodus Point is very much a touristy-beach-boat town, the streets are lined with restaurants and historical landmarks while the beach and bay surrounds the little village. While there were plenty of people around, there was still plenty of close, open, free parking on the streets, and we were able to park only a couple minute walk from the restaurant. There were only a couple occupied tables and we were sat pretty immediately at an outside table when we walked in, although we were told we'd have to wait a couple minutes until our server got back to the restaurant, but we didn't ask exactly what that meant. When our server did show, which wasn't long after, we already had our order decided. One of Six50s things is that everything is wood fired and there are no deep fryers at the restaurant - they even have a sign out front saying so - so we chose an order of their wood fired chicken wings in their "dynamic duo" sauce, a combination of buffalo and garlic parmesan. My wife ordered a Mount Vesuvius pizza, while I chose the Adriano pizza. Our wings came out first relatively quickly, and while they were cooked very well, the sauce had 0 flavor. Most of it slipped right off the wings onto the plate, but even when we rolled them around, the flavor just wasn't there. They say everything including their sauces are home made, so while the wing sauce wasn't great, we did enjoy their (assuming) home made bleu cheese. We waited for a long time for our pizzas, around another 40 minutes AFTER we received our wings. At a busy restaurant, wouldn't have thought anything of it, but there were maybe 3 other tables sat with us in the restaurant, so it seemed like a long time. The pizzas were surprisingly not bad - we felt they had both pros and cons. The pros being there were plenty of toppings, good flavor, and one pizza is probably enough for 2 people. The cons being, while there were plenty of toppings, there was very little cheese. That, and both my wife and I had slices that were completely burned from the wood fire, and didn't even have any toppings on them anymore. Our server was friendly and attentive when we needed it. We had a $65 gift card and only owed $5 after it for 2 pizzas, an order of wings, and a fancy drink for my wife, and we brought home pretty much an entire third pizza form the left overs, so not a bad value. My only other complaints were that there was a broken lock on the one person men's room door, which they were aware of because they had a sign on it saying to please knock first, and while there's beautiful views on the outside patio of the bay, it'd be a much nicer experience out there if they cleaned it. The barrier that's up between the tables and the bay was just absolutely COVERED in cobwebs, as were the string of lights they had hung overhead. Overall, it was not as bad as the other reviews had me believing it would be, but it also didn't impress us either. It was an edible, mostly enjoyable meal, but nothing that really stood out and makes me want to return.

My wife was given a gift card for Skippers for her birthday, and over the weekend, we decided to go use it. It's situated somewhat in a residential neighborhood with a few parking spaces in front of the restaurant. We were sat right away. It was an early dinner for us, around 4PM. There were a couple other tables sat, but the restaurant was mostly open. We asked for an outdoor seat and were brought right back. The inside of the restaurant is large with 2 floors and was very dark inside. We were given our menus. Took a bit for our server to get to us, but no big deal. I ordered the risotto with chicken and a virgin pina colada while my wife got the lobster stuffed haddock with a drink special. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol, I always appreciate a restaurant that offers mocktails. Again, not a ton of tables sat, but it took a bit for us to get our food. Luckily, it was a beautiful day to just sit and look out onto the water. Our food was brought over and we got to it. Portions were large, but we both felt the food was just okay. My risotto had very little flavor, and the chicken was completely unseasoned. My wife said her food was fine, but the onion rings were the stand out of her meal. Our gift card was for $80 and our 2 meals and drinks came to $86. Our server was very friendly, but the service was slow for the amount of people there. Beautiful view on the outside patio, but for us, that was the best part of the experience.

Alongside the meats, we wanted to try their sides as well which consisted of mac and cheese, baked beans, corn bread, cole slaw and salt potatoes. For the brisket which we looked forward to the most, we found these to be drier than we would have liked. Paired with sauce, they were just okay. For the pulled pork, we found this to be phenomenal. Smoky and delicious all on its own. Definitely a highlight for us. For the bacon, we ordered 3 different kinds, and we found the flavors didn't really shine through. Although generously thick cut and cooked perfectly. The kielbasa was a bit of a letdown. We found these to be on the dry side, but the flavors were okay. For the sides, the mac and cheese we found the pasta to be a bit overcooked and overall, on the bland side. The baked beans tasted great, no complaints there. The corn bread wasn't anything special and neither were the salt potatoes. Although we did enjoy the salt potatoes and found they were exactly how they ought to be. The cole slaw was also on the bland side and tasted more of the fridge than any flavor. We've heard good things about their smoked wings which we had to try before leaving. We ordered a 5-piece with their spicy Asian sauce. The wings were delicious, the smokiness flavor penetrated throughout the entire wing, but the sauce was very salty which took away from the natural delicious taste of the smoked wings. Overall, a good experience which some seasoning issues but would revisit if we were back in the area.

My uncles and aunts who live nearby had never heard of it but we decided to give it a shot. Upon arriving, the small parking lot area was full. Uh oh. Inside, the place was pretty small, say approximately 10 tables(???) Every table was filled except one. The waitress asked if we had a reservation and we said no. She looked frazzled. We asked about sitting outside and she said we could BUT we probably wouldn't get good service. (It appeared there were only 2 waitresses doing it all.) So we waited the 15 min or so to get a table inside... Unfortunately the biggest negative was HOW LOUD IT WAS SITTING INSIDE. I'm using caps because we HAD TO YELL TO TALK TO ONE ANOTHER. It was so loud, it was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I remember wincing when a table would laugh because it was SO DANG PIERCING LOUD. Nonetheless, the food was good. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and tots. Others in my party got a chicken Philly, French dip, a salad and a beef tip special. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The server was good.
