We decided to do a long roadtrip from Las Vegas to finally visit Seattle for our anniversary and my birthday and to also watch a soccer game being held at the Century Link stadium.
Booking: I made the mistake of booking through the Expedia App, which for some reason picked me a "full" bed instead of a "king". Immediately, I contacted the general manager, Kevin, through an e-mail and he immediately responded to help us fix the problem I was having. As it was our first time in Seattle, we asked for recommendations for microbreweries in the area as well as the easiest ways to get to the stadium from our hotel. Again, Kevin was able to help us out and point us to the right direction. Thank you Kevin. (Tips: BOOK THROUGH THE WEBSITE!!!)
Location and Parking: We used the iPhone map for directions. Prettt easy to find. We did drive sround a couple times to look for the parking area until we saw the valet sign and just parked there. ($45 with in and out priveleges). Few blocks away from main Seattle attractions.
Arrival: We got there a few hours prior to check-in time, which was fine as it allowed us time to explore the surrounding area. As we pulled up the main hotel entrance, we were greeted enthusiastically by Dennis, the valet driver. We were hesistant if we were allowed to park there prior check in time, but Dennis told us it was fine. He also helped us unload our bags and told us that they will happily hold our stuff until our room was ready. Thank you Dennis.
Check-In: Very straightforward. Just hand them your ID and credit card and you're good to go. Just a heads up, the hotel does require a $100.00 deposit so keep that in mind. They release this deposit right away as soon as you check out and it's back in your account depending on your banking institution. Mine went through that same day. Like I said, we got there maybe like 5 hours early so as we wait for our room, we walked to the Pike Market. When we got back, our room was still not ready so we decided to hang around the lobby.
Room: Elevator was a tad bit small. Also was not used to using a room key to access the elevator so it took us a couple of tries to finally get it right. Getting to our room was pretty cool, as we gazed at each door with posters of famous musicians. The room was perfect. I read prople saying that it's small, but my fiancè and I both agreed that it's the perfect size. Just enough room to get around but not cramped. We were also greeted with a birthday/anniversary card, along with two bottles of IPA from a local brewery. It was such a nice thoughtful gesture. I live in Vegas and have worked in the hotel industry. To be given such nice thoughtful gesture shows how much they really care about their guests here.
Bathroom: Small, but again, enough room to get the job done.
Bed: Comfort level is pretty high up there. Nice cozy bed and pillow.
Hotel Max App: I did download the hotel app, in which you can request for extra pillows, towels, etc. Also had an option for "spiritual menu" in which you can select your desired relgious reading. I did use the pillow menu and requested for a bosy pillow to be delivered. Although a few minutes late from the time I requested, they called and apologized for the delay.
Happy Hour: Happy hour is from 5:30-6:30. FREE local beer!! This was about the coolest thing ever. We were given a glass of Pumpkin Spice Ale from a local brewery, and let me tell you, it was delicious. Not a fan of pumpkin but that beer was on point. And if weren't in such a rush to catch the soccer game that night at 7, we would probably be sitting there all night
Coffee: Same as the happy hour, theres free coffee from 6-9 a.m. Take advantage of that!
Check-out: Just a smooth as checking in. Hand thrm your valet ticket and mert them out front and you're ready to go.
Overall: One of the best hotel I've ever stayed in. From service to comfort, 5 stars all the way. It was so nice that we asked if there was another Hotel Max location in the country. Unfortunately, it's the only one, which is fine because now we know exactly where we'll be staying the next time we go to Seattle.
TIPS: Don't be afraid to ask them for directions or questions or requests. Chances are, they'll most likely help you. Also, TIP the people that help you out. Whether it's the valet guy, the front desk, or the one bringing you your baggage. Courtesy gets you a long way. read more
