Construction work going on all night long outside our bedroom. This photo was taken at 1:40am with heavy machines still going.

Second time staying at OSLU. First time was good. This time, it seemed super unorganized and the staff was not helpful. I specifically rented a 2 bedroom for 5 guests. Our room was a 1 bedroom (with 1 nightstand) and 1 other room which was actually a closest with closet doors and the bed went from wall to wall. I know by fire code this is not a second bedroom, with no window/closet and only closet doors (one of which was off the hinges, so you couldn't even open one side). There was construction right outside of our window that went all night, I understand that is city, but management should know and warn visitors. I reached out to them about my concerns of our apartment size a guest count and never heard back. Upon check out, there was no bell carts and when I asked the front desk, they told me to go to the garage and look for myself because "that's where people leave them". We had 2 towels in our room upon check in, no blankets or pillows for the sleeper sofa, and no staff to help. The whole thing seemed unorganized, and the staff did not care. They have yet to respond to my emails.

Stayed here recently, and I thought this hotel was lovely. The location is good for walking around (be aware, there are some hills!) and the hotel has every kind of amenity you could hope for - a beautiful gym, hot tub, dog relief area, meeting rooms, game rooms, etc. Our room, a little suite, had a separate bedroom, an eat in kitchen, a living room, stacked laundry, a walk-in closet, and even a little balcony. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could want, including a nespresso machine and dishwasher. The room was very clean and everything seemed new and in good working order. Despite other reviews, I found the room to be very quiet and I didn't notice any street noise. I slept like a baby. The outdoor pool area was fantastic, there were also grills, a steam room, and sauna near the pool area, as well as plenty of lounge chairs and dining tables. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful Friday night. Different staff members Saturday morning were the opposite. When we checked in on Friday night, we asked about late checkout on Saturday morning. They told us to call the front desk Saturday moning between 7 - 8 a.m. When we called at 7 a.m., the front desk staff first said they don't do late checkout, then said they had given all of the rooms away. They then said that we could stay and use the amenities, but it turned out that they turned off our room keys that were needed to access the elevators, the pool, and basically all of the doors to all of the amenities. The front desk lady explained, "Oh yes, you could use the pool if you were already there, but you can't use the doors anymore because it's after checkout." Sorry, that's not really letting guests use the amenities instead of late checkout. If people can't leave the pool to use the bathroom, you probably don't want them in the pool, you know what I'm saying? I tried to explain this but the front desk lady just kept saying "It's after checkout, I can't give you a new keycard." I also heard her arguing with someone else who wanted to use wi-fi after checkout. Anyway, the rest of the place was nice so I tried not to let that one lady get to me. I just don't think she understood the concept of letting guests stay and use the amenities after checkout.

Trash remnants all over the floor that could have cut our feet.

Without a doubt the worst experience we've ever had at a hotel. Save yourself the money and the headache by staying literally anywhere else. Upon check in over 4th of July weekend, we entered our room and immediately realized there was a mistake. We were downgraded significantly from what we booked so we went back to the front desk. The agent was aware of the downgrade but didn't bother to tell us. She informed us it was a booking error on their website but it's not Level's fault and there's nothing they will do. I was 8.5 weeks pregnant at the time so having a second bathroom while staying with 5 other adults was nonnegotiable (IYKYK). She eventually told us she'd go call her manager real quick to see what he'd let her do for us and disappeared into the back. After 15 minutes my husband asked the other agent where she went and he told him that she said she was going on a break. Almost 40 minutes passed before she returned and we were apathetically told to go away and try tomorrow. We go back to the downgraded room and start to unpack only to realize how filthy the room is. Exploded Coke can in the fridge, a broken pull out couch, plastic remnants all over the floor - it was clear this room had not been properly cleaned. Again, I'm 8.5 weeks pregnant so I'm not risking mine or my baby's health. We were put in the identical room next door which was significantly cleaner. The following morning, we come downstairs to straighten things out with the manager who was "not in." Alright, we'll try again in a few hours. Come downstairs again and we can see she's in but it takes some time for someone to become available. Finally, we are told that they will provide an extra studio room to offset the difference in bathrooms. Despite the now 3 hours we've taken to find a solution, this is wonderful news. They then give me a bottle of wine to apologize (strange considering I've repeatedly told them I'm pregnant) and I'm told by the Operations Manager she will follow up via email. This did not happen. The rooms themselves are fine. Minimal stockings in the kitchen like no salt/pepper, tupperware, things like that. But if you're just eating quick and easy meals then you're fine. The freezer is also extremely tiny and can't even hold a full size frozen pizza. Views are also not great from the rooms unfortunately. The amenities are also lovely but given it was the 4th, we were not able to use the game room a single time because it was completely over run by large families with kids running around and their trash. The biggest complaint about the hotel is definitely the elevator. Expect to wait in a long line for at least 5-10 minutes anytime you have to use it. Even without the crowds they were oddly slow. Overall, the stay itself was ok, but certainly not worth the issues or the price. We'll definitely be choosing an AirBnB next time we're in Seattle. I travel almost monthly for work, and never in my life have I ever stayed at a hotel that will downgrade you without telling you (even at Check In!) then tell you it's not their fault and offer no compensation without fighting them for hours during your vacation. To make it all worse, we are now on Day 16 of trying to receive a receipt for our stay because we were overcharged. We were promised this would be adjusted but we're still waiting and no one is writing us back or returning calls. Stay far away and spend your money where you'll be treated with respect because the staff here could care less about you and your stay.

Really nice place, great facilities. Customer service is sub par. That's the reason for 4 stars. Other wise this is a 5 star facility.

The second time I stayed, it was an entirely different experience. When I went to check in, I realized I had lost my wallet. I offered to show them my reservation in their app, digital ID, a picture of my driver's license, and even exchange phone/email messages to confirm I was who I said I was. (I had already paid for the hotel through the app.) I also offered to use "Tap-to-Pay" to put down a deposit for incidentals or damage to the room. That was unacceptable as well. I was told that, due to fraud, they had put policies in place that prevented them from helping me. Luckily, I was able to backtrack and find my wallet, so I was able to check in a few hours later. But when I sent a message to the hotel about my experience, I was again told that they were "just following policy." Life events happen. Thank God I wasn't traveling with my kids. The fact that they weren't willing to work with me at all was incredibly disappointing, especially since I stay frequently at Marriott properties. So, I can't recommend this hotel.

The hotel has remarkable accommodations, with plenty of on-site (paid for) parking, a full-featured complimentary breakfast (no bacon or sausage, but eggs, potatoes, cereal, juices, waffles, vegetables, vegetables, yogurt and fruit), a swimming pool (no hot tub), pretty good-sized and well-equipped gym, bar, and a lounge area with pool and shuffleboard. The rooms are surprisingly big, the kitchens are near full-featured (mine didn't have an oven, just a microwave, cooktop and dishwasher, but the sink had a garbage disposal and the fridge was full-sized). The couch was super comfortable, too, with a chaise at one end. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was on the louder side, and at times would sound like the ringing noise you hear when waiting for someone else to pick up their phone. My room also had a split seam in the carpet. The mattress and pillows were just unsupportive, and one pillow smelled like mold. However, being away from the freeway there was no traffic noise, and while in bed you couldn't hear any noise from the hallway. The property is about a 30 minute walk to downtown Bellevue, but a relatively inexpensive Lyft/Uber ride, or you can take the free shuttle service that serves the downtown area. There's also a new lightrail train station going in that may make the jump to downtown a little bit less of a trek. I'd stay here again.

We understand accidents happen, and since you can't foresee everything, we're practically most concerned about the followup, prevention, and direct communication during and after. As previously noted, we're among the oldest residents here, and have seen a lot come and go. Recently after heavy rains, we encountered another water flooding (due to boiler room being clogged). While this was stressful, it also opened the opportunity for long-term resolution: Rochelle (our new property manager), Alyx (assistant manager), and Richard (maintenance supervisor) and Anthony (also with maintenance) sprung into action. Rochelle's leadership is already making a positive difference. She's constantly reassuring and gave us confidence that this would all be handled professionally in an efficient manner. After Anthony escalated it and the source of the problems was stopped, Rochelle came in with Richard (who often asks how our home is doing) to firsthand assess the damage, and they coordinated things with vendors to get the issues fixed. Alyx (always a joy to talk to) helped us stay in another unit in the meantime. There were a number of action items that were followed up on, including a more direct emergency line, and we brought up getting water leak detectors for even earlier alerts in the future. Also, along with general repairs, some earlier damage from a prior flood (a lingering issue during the COVID-19 pandemic) was finally able to be resolved. Suffice to say, you never want "OH NO!!!" events like this happening, but when they do, it really helps to know that management cares about dealing with it swiftly. Thank you again, M Street team!
