Just absolutely stunning! We loved everything about our stay- from the chocolates and hand written note upon our arrival, to the simple but good breakfast in the morning. The courtyard was a tranquil and gorgeous spot to sit. Our room felt so clean and well kept. I loved everything about the simple decor and the beautiful bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable! We highly recommend the Marisol!!! It is in a great location, just a quick one block walk to the beach or to the main street in Coronado with all the food and shopping. I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. If you're considering it, just book it!!!

This is an elegant little jewel of a hotel. Everything about it is charming and first class. Comfortable rooms with free waters in the fridge each day, plush towels, newly decorated furnishings, hair dryer, robes, complimentary bicycles and beach chairs. One block from the beach and two blocks from the Del Coronado Hotel complex. Beautiful secluded patio with plenty o seating. The staff was wonderful. They baked cookies every evening, had berries and yogurt for us each morning with Coffee, Fresh juice, granola, oatmeal, etc. Old fashioned Otis elevator from 1928 with scissor gate worked perfectly. Just a perfect experience. Our highest recommendation.

I stayed here with my pup. This is a beautiful hotel. Very clean and just beautiful. I love how close it is to everything. Staff is very nice! I docked a star only because I had a room by the stairs and on the ground level which can be a bit noisy at times. And there's no dedicated parking. But overall it was a wonderful stay. I will definitely be staying here again!

Complimentary champagne toast totally set the mood off right!

My wife and I stayed here during our wedding and cannot speak highly enough about the staff and our overall stay. The 1920s elevator is super cool and the rooms have been recently renovated which was a nice touch. When we got back from our reception we had a ton of leftover food and gifts we needed to store overnight in our room. The night staff was kind enough to help us with carrying all the items up to our room with us which was much appreciated as it would have taken forever without them!! The hotel's continental breakfast is also pretty good. Had we stayed longer, I would have liked to loan out some bicycles and ride around the island. I guess I'll save that for next time! P.S.: I recommend booking a third floor room for maximum elevator enjoyment and a nice view.

Beautiful little boutique hotel in the middle of Coronado village. We just happened to discover this hotel on Expedia and fell in love. The hotel staff is so sweet and friendly! The hotel is beautiful and so clean! Our room was beautiful. It's close to the Main Street of Coronado as well as close to the beach. They provide bikes and beach chairs to their guests. We rode our bikes with the backpack beach chairs to the beach. I would fly back from Texas just to come here and relax.

Very pretty place. Great location for Orange Ave restaurants although I wish the beach was a little closer. It was only a short walk away but it seems a lot longer if you are carrying chairs and the like. Outstanding service by the staff. Excellent breakfast choices as long as you are not expecting omelets. They pretty much offered everything else. Make sure to grab a bottle of vino and sit in their courtyard in the evening. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars was that the room and the bathroom are both on the small size.

Complimentary Champs for Our Birthday! Yes, Please!

Great service. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Great view for our anniversary. Wish the price was more affordable. Otherwise I would come again.

I have been trying to reach this hotel for 3 days now regarding booking a wedding, and no answer?

How's the parking situation? I'm driving in.....

There isn't any reserved parking for the hotel - but plenty of adjacent and nearby street parking available.

I treated myself to a spa day and had the pleasure of working with Jeanette, who was fantastic. The spa experience was relaxing, luxurious, and exactly what you'd hope for at a place like this. Of course, I couldn't leave without picking up something super cute from the shop--dangerous in the best way! We spent a lot of time at the pool, which was such a highlight. The service truly made the experience feel VIP from start to finish. Heather (yes, I'm shouting her out again because she deserves it!) was incredible--despite how busy it was, she made ordering effortless, quick, and fun with the best energy. Patrick was also wonderful on another day. You really can't go wrong with the staff here. A fun bonus for our family--my husband is a pilot, so we loved watching the planes flying by from the nearby Naval Air Station North Island. The kiddos were completely entertained and called it their own little "airshow," which was such a unique and memorable touch. We also dined at Nobu Del Coronado. Having been to other Nobu locations like Newport Beach and Chicago, it was interesting to experience this one--it's more boutique and intimate, which made it feel extra special in its own way. All in all, this trip was everything I hoped it would be and more. From the beautiful setting to the incredible staff (Heather, you're the best!), we felt taken care of every step of the way. Our group included roughly 50 athletes and about 20 staff, and during the stay we had packages delivered containing necessary items we needed. The most concerning issue was a $150 "package handling fee" added at checkout. At no point was I informed there would be any fee to receive these packages. It was not mentioned when picking them up, nor was it included on the information sheet outlining other charges. I was later told it exists somewhere online, but if a guest cannot reasonably find it during their stay, that is not transparency. There were also multiple unexpected add on charges throughout the stay. The hotel advertises microwaves as an amenity, yet they are only available as a rental for about $25 per day. This became a real issue given dietary restrictions, and we ultimately had to purchase one ourselves. Other basic conveniences, like court access, also came with added fees, creating a constant sense of being nickel and dimed. For a property that presents itself as upscale, the room conditions did not match expectations. There was visible rust on the bathroom ceiling, the refrigerator was difficult to adjust, and ants repeatedly came through poorly sealed areas in the bathroom. The refrigerators knob was so gouged out I needed to ask help to have it moved from minimal to keep my food in the safe refrigeration zone. Overall, the experience felt less like a premium stay and more like a series of hidden costs. For a company of this size and reputation, that should be concerning. If you stay here, ask about every possible fee upfront, because not everything is clearly disclosed.

You pay for the location and that is about it. The main lobby was super cute. We were very excited to stay here. But it took a turn when we were shown our room. The smell was so bad you could smell it a few feet outside of our door. We would wake up in the middle of the night because the smell woke us up. It smelled like mildew & mold so bad, on top of cigarettes and hospice. I went to call to ask for a new room and our phone didn't work. I moved the side bedroom table to see if it was plugged in and it was so dirty with bugs and lint balls. I didn't touch the phone again. I called from my cell phone to see about changing our room. She told me I could come the next day and take a look at other rooms that were available, but we were only there for one more night and we had plans with friends that day. The carpet is disgusting. The couch is so dirty. There were brown stains on the sheets of our bed. Every time the cleaning crew would come in, they would open every single window to the fullest to mask the smell. There's not a restaurant here so you have to go get your food and bring it in. There were dead bugs in the utensil drawers. So we used plastic utensils, and paper plates our whole trip. Our room looked nothing like the lobby. A motel 8 would've been better. Even the pool is sad. We were going to cancel our stay and book somewhere else, but we booked through Expedia and it's a nightmare trying to get a refund through them. Otherwise, we would've left after the first day. When leaving a manager pulled me aside and said he was going to comp one day resort fee for us because of the smell. He didn't have to do that, but it was nice of him. We will never be back unless they do a serious update. So sad because the location is killer!

The sheets and towels were like sandpaper, and the room is shabby and dirty-looking. The only small window looked out into a dirty alley. This was the most depressing room ever! In order to open the bathroom (which was disgusting) you had to make sure the closet door was closed. Carpet was dingy and the bedding was cheap and scratchy. The blanket was 100 years old and the bedspread was like an old shower curtain. There was ZERO natural light and the room stunk of musty, damp air from a loud swamp cooler. The ice machine close to our room was loud and people used it all night. The amenities were non-existent (not even bottles of water, so bring your own). The faucet handles barely worked in the bathroom sink, and there was no hot water. The WiFi is terrible and there are no modern charging ports to use.
