We also enjoyed the juicy meatballs with tomato sauce and again a hint of freshness and nuttiness coming from the pine nut pesto. We were not crazy about the striped bass crudo. It just seemed to fall flat flavor wise for me maybe not enough salt or acid to really counter balance the other fresh clean flavors in the dish. That being said it was not bad just underwhelming. The pizzas were great value price wise and the flavor combinations were unique but also worked well with one another. I liked how they didn't shy away from using spicy peppers on the Nduja pizza. The Fennel Sausage pizza had that fattiness from the sausage mixed with acidity from the cherry peppers and some creaminess/extra layer of flavor with the green garlic cream sauce. I somewhat wish the pizza bottom was baked slightly longer for a less floppy center but that's just personal preference. They clearly put a lot of effort into this pizza recipe. The only critique we would have is the service seemed a bit rushed. We would have enjoyed a bit more time between appetizers and the mains. Even the check came pretty shortly after we finished which would be understandable on a busy weekend night but this was a Tuesday evening and there seemed to be plenty of empty tables around us. We then split the Pepperoni + Vodka Sauce pizza which was good. I'll be honest I was a tad disappointed in the pizza. It was flavorful but I think I was expecting the same feeling I got when I had the pasta. It was good, but just that, good. Crust was a little burnt.
