Wow! Never experienced such awful customer service. The waitress who took our order was mad that we asked questions. We asked for water with ice which was promptly ignored, till we left our table to ask another waitress.. then she just didn't wait our table anymore. We had to flag down any available waitress to order more food. We waited and waited for our check while two of the waitresses just sat in the corner.Very disappointed in the service. Overall dining experience was ruined by the staff. read more

This was my first hot pot experience. The staff did a great job of explaining how things work and made suggestions on what we might like. I'd give them 4.5/5 stars. However for the food itself, I left disappointed that hot pot wasn't what I expected. Maybe with more visits I'd be able to figure out some options that I'd like, but the next time I want Asian broth soup I'll just stick with ramen or pho where I can get a much more complex and full flavor, with less work, and at a lower price. read more

The food is good. The location is perfect. Nice restaurant. I don't recommend to go here for family gathering, the tables are so small. I've been to hot pot places but never had the problem with table. I keep dropping my ladle and tongs, because there is no space on the table. The service is kind of slow. I don't mind to come back if i go by myself, not with my family though. read more

Had a chance to visit Hot Pot Legend after starting my new job across from One Loudon. The place wasn't that busy when I stopped by so the atmosphere was quiet and place looked new and clean. We opted out for the individual pots at the high chairs but this place also offers family pots to share from. Sauce bar is nice + all the ingredients we requested were all fresh and tasty. Although mostly positive, the quantity of meat that was ordered was very little even when requested to receive more or double portion at once. The parking here is also difficult but that's expected for something like an outdoor outlet. Still would highly recommend! read more

Very good! You won't be disappointed. Didn't take any pictures when we went because we were too excited to eat. But if you want some hotpot this place is the one to go to if you're in the area!! Reason why I took off one star is because the service could've been better. read more

This is by far my favorite hotpot place in the area, if there's one better.. LET ME KNOW!!! The staff is amazing and everything was fresh. They made room for our group and we ate til our little tummy's had to repent! Everything was brought out fast and I felt like they knew our ever y thought. Keep up the great work and I'll definitely see you soon!! read more

Rockville hasn't been the same since Hot Pot Legend left. I'm happy to find that it didn't die, but merely moved to a great, new location where the food and service are just as good. read more

I can't really say there was anything about this place that I enjoyed. It was bland. It was extremely overpriced. Most of the sauces were absolutely horrible. Although they brought out the soup very quickly the waitress paid little attention to us. I would never go back here and for three people to eat for 95 bucks there are a lot of other places you can go and have much better food. Don't waste your time unless you have no taste buds. read more

I LLLLLOOOVVVVEEEEE THIS HOTPOT!!! I've gone to one other hotpot and it just wasn't as flavorful BUT THIS! Has sooooooooo much flavors!!!!! I loved it!!! It's literally good for so many ppl like vegetarians, maybe vegans bc there is so many different options of broth choices and selections of meat and veggies. They have mushroom broth, vegetarian broth, we got Sichuan broth medium spicy and pork broth bc we had a 4 yr old child. They also have lobster balls, fish balls, rice cake, different mushrooms, tofus, meats like thinly sliced beef, marinated beef( tbh we tried this and it just ruined the broth flavor..don't recommend it with marinated meat) squid, crawfish, cabbage, bok choy and many more! You can eat so much and family friendly. It does get crowded and there's lots of families who come here with their kids. You can get so much of out just that one broth but it does get salty after a while but you can also add additional broth for $10+! They also do have sauce bar! I saw this on tik tok and my favorite sauce to mix is sesame paste, little garlic , lots cilantro, green onions, little seamen oil, with little sriracha sauce with little hoisin sauce. I HIIIIIGGGGHHHHLLLYYYY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! At least giving it a try! read more

Hot Pot Legend - Sichuan medium spicy broth and pork broth. Crawfish, thinly sliced beef, cabbage, bok choy, squid, mini sausages - Hot Pot Near Me - Ashburn, Virginia

My wife is from Sichuan so I eat hot pot all the time and think I can evaluate it pretty well. I got a "Sichuan Spicy" pork pot. The spicier broth in Sichuan is normally made from a thick brick of beef oil base and they actually have that on the menu and it's called "Spicy Beef Tallow". However, on the side of the menu for the unlimited portion, it's not listed, so I missed it. And the Sichuan Spicy broth was meh read more

Went there on a Friday night expect it to be busy. They have a cute atmosphere with all the pandas. Enjoyed the experience trying all the hot pot meats and the wait staff was attentive. Will definitely go again in the future. read more

This is a very nice Hot Pot place. We drove a little over one hour from DC to this restaurant simply seeing the nice reviews. Upon our arrival, the owner and a young waiter gave a super helpful introduction and our meal was enjoyable and delicious. I recommend this place if you love a friendly, cozy and modern place to enjoy genuine spicy cuisine. read more

My husband and I came here after waiting so long for it to open. The quality, freshness, and flavor of the food is fantastic, and the customer service is excellent with friendly staff. The amount of food that comes with your order is well than enough for one person and could actually feed 2-3 people. The sauce bar is a great addition too! I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back as normal customers. read more

Hot Pot Legend - Beef pot, spicy slice beef, spicy seafood dumpling, peach greentea - Hot Pot Near Me - Ashburn, Virginia

This was my first time trying hotpot and I was blown away by this place. The service from everyone there was amazing. They were about ad friendly and helpful as someone could get. I went in for an early lunch. Tried the chicken skewer appetizer and got a pot with the kimchi broth and the choose three meat option. Between the meat and the two huge bowls of veggies they brought out, plus the broth, plus the small apps they brought out before the meal (which was included) I had more food than I could eat. Great value for sure. I saved the most important part for last.....they have a sauce bar. Any restaurant with a sauce bar is winning in my book. You can use the sauces to dip in or to amp up your broth. I did both. Great meal. Great service. Try these folks out for sure. read more

The design of the restaurant could use a pick me up (and this place is new) but it might just be due to Covid and I welcome the minimalistic appeal in regards to furnishings. The pork bone broth is.... heavenly delicious (even though I know there's alot of MGS in it). It didn't give me any issues and you typically don't drink it but it is just a FYI. The food portions given were enough for two people per bowl but I felt that for the price you are paying, the quality of food would've been higher, it is tasty none the less. The staff was excellent, please expect long then usual wait and service times due to the soft opening and the amount of interested customers dining at the restaurant. The apps were terrible and they do not deserve the price tag they are charging. Spring rolls were small, mushy, and seems to taste like it was machine-made/wrapped and came out of the freezer. Dumplings were delicious. The kabobs was missing the correct portion of beef and chicken and the beef one was mostly fat, chicken was tender but felt a little chewy. The dipping sauces were ok, nothing crazy good like in NYC but not bad. All in all it is a good place to bring your family to with it's outstanding staff and even more outstanding broth. FYI- there is a gentleman staff member seated at the front of the restaurant who did nothing but looked at the people getting sauces and we just felt a creepy and weird vibe from him. It was uncomfortable and awkward and he never greeted us or talked, just crossed his arms and stared. Everyone was busy and talking at the restaurant, including the boss and managers so we are perplexed at what he was there for and if he is actually needed. read more

We'd been waiting for this place to open for a while and once it did we started frequenting the place. I have gone there with multiple different people multiple times for the last 3 weeks. It's a pretty authentic experience in regards to items on the menu and the soup bases. What I do like is that the soup bases come from a kettle rather than straight brought to the table in the pot. This puts me at ease as the chances of soups being reused are lower. The only reason they're not a 5 star for me is the waiters. I've had a variety of servers with each visit and loved most of them. Just couple of them are condescending. The way they explain things and will correct your pronunciation (wrong by the way) can be off putting. Other than that, great experience and basically the same hotpot experience and flavor I've had in China. The experience isn't watered down to an American appetite/ taste at all and I love that. read more

This was my first time trying hotpot and I wasn't disappointed! The servers were very attentive and were able to explain how the experience worked. I chose the AYCE option so I would be able to try the different offerings. One of the servers suggested a combination of sauces for dipping and it was delicious! My favorite were the shrimp balls SOOOO GOOD! I will definitely visit again. read more

Hot Pot Legend - Just a sample of the many items we ordered - Hot Pot Near Me - Ashburn, Virginia

So after our meal, my wife and I were trying to recall a better customer service experience than we had at Hot Pot Legend. We could not think of one. Don't worry if you are a first time guest, the staff is incredibly helpful, and they work as a team. The owner came to each table and checked on the guests, and actually had a conversation. The staff will give you as much or as little help as you need. The food is tailored to your tastes. We elected for the 2 broth, all you can eat. You choose protein, veggies, starches, extras. If you like kimchi, theirs was amazing. The rest of the food was amazing as well. The price is on the higher end, but the experience of eating here was well worth every penny. Don't pass this restaurant up. read more

Not really my thing. I understand and appreciate the cultural aspect and origins of it all, but $62 for 2 people to cook our own food (not including tip - which we were never really served of offered water refills) just doesn't do it for me. I prefer to leave it to the pros in a kitchen who know what they are doing from a culinary perspective instead of me. read more

I went there with my friends. Parking lot sucks. Expect to park a block away in a free parking garage. Foods were good, hopefully to see it gets better over time. Right now, Rockville tastes good, if not better than Ashburn. I'm glad to see Ashburn has something to go to for hot pot. read more

A traditional Chinese style hot pot restaurant. Best for 1-3 people. If you have a larger group (4 or more), be prepared for subpar service with long wait In pretty much everything. After my experience, not likely to go back. Service: We just had dinner there tonight and the place was packed at 6:00 pm. We had a reservation for a party of 6, arrived on time and waited for 5 minutes for someone to come greet us and be seated. Once seated, we waited for 30 mins before our waiter came by and took our drink order. Then another 15 mins for him to come back for our food order. When we placed our order, we were limited to only 15 items. We didn't start eating until almost an hour into the restaurant. The waiter never come back to check on us, I had to walk to the service area to request for placing another round of food, get more napkins, get more water. The restaurant has about 10 large tables and 20 or so 4-person table plus bar seating, there was only 1 waitstaff, yes, one. There were 2 people working the floor to bring food out and refill soup in the pot for the customers. When we left at 8:30pm, the restaurant was 2/3 empty with a bunch of dirty tables that were not cleared out. Message to the owner: This restaurant needs more waitstaff to support the volume of customers, otherwise you are wasting valuable table spaces, angry customers with either long wait for a clean table or waiting for service. Food: Food is on par with what most hot pot or shabubu restaurants offer. They have beef, chicken, lamb, Asian veggie and broccoli, four different kinds of mushrooms, noodles, fish and shrimp pasted balls, shrimp, clams, mussels. Price: $17+ for individual and $37 for all you can eat read more

We have eaten here twice now. Great food and impeccable service. Staff was so kind to walk us through our great experience!

A takeout meal of two entrees and sharable appetizer combo, turned out to be a disappointing waste of money. The whole meal was so oily and bland that I decided just to salvage the chicken meat, and rinse and add it to home-made soup. read more

This was a fun experience. We were not sure what to expect, so we called ahead and tried to ask. The staff that answered was very rude. They answered the phone very annoyed and unwelcoming. We asked what to expect, and they said "why dont you just youtube it or come in and see for yourself". That was so rude! Only giving this rating because the selection was so good! The staff was nice at first, but they got less nice throughout the night. They did not help us as much as the night progressed and seemed annoyed we were ordering more items when it was an all you can eat package. read more

I'm giving this 5 stars not just because the food was tasty, but because of the young lady who (at my request) made me and my boyfriend a custom sauce at the bar which made my meal 10x better. Wish I got her name. Thank you miss! read more

It was a new experience and the food was good. The server was not very helpful but it was a good experience

I can't say enough good things. One, customer service was impeccable. My drink was never empty, the food was quick, I wasn't bombarded with questions - and, my amazing waitress, seriously amazing, opened my can of Skoal when I couldn't. 10/10. read more

Great food. They don't seem to have a time limit which is nice as another Hot Pot restaurant we go to in the area has a 90 minute limit.

Not the best hoptpot in DMV but you know in this place we need a hotpot place. It is around $35 per person for the buffet and the meat is not bad. There are plenty of options for vegetables and meat. And the sauce is ok. All in all well it is a nice place to have hotpot. read more

One of my favorite new restaurants to open! The food and service are excellent, definitely the best hot pot I've had in the area. The all you can eat has an awesome selection, or individual pots if that's more your speed are great too. Highly recommend the spicy Sichuan broth- the flavor is spot on, and the spicy cucumbers. Their safety measures are great as well, with separated tables and they use the cutest stuffed pandas that designate the tables left empty for social distancing. The place can get packed quickly, but it is absolutely worth the wait! I'd easily wait an hour and a half for a table. Great prices, good food, friendly staff- can't say that enough. read more

I love this place! I've been on several occasions with friends and family and the food is always delicious. We always get the all you can eat option and thoroughly enjoy it. We've done the chicken, bone, veggie, and beef broth, and they've all been delicious. The staff is always pleasant and bring the refills of the all you can eat option quickly, even when it's crowded. Great food with great service is always a plus, so I stop in whenever I get a chance. read more

Food was delicious, however my husband became incredibly ill about an hour after eating the Sichuan broth. Never seen him so sick, but it was gone in 24 hours. It is a shame because the food is so good here, but, you guys need to work on food safety during preparations especially with the raw veggies and meats so that nobody else gets food poisoning. Would come back if it weren't for that. read more

If I could leave this place no stars I would. This place was so racist. Me and my girlfriend walked in and sat at the table for 15 mins and didn't get any service. Everyone kept walking past us that worked there and no one gave us any greetings or ask us what we wanted to drink or anything. My girlfriend told me let's leave and we left. The host came over as we were leaving and I told the host that we are leaving since we can't get any service. And she said "ok". If you African American don't come here because you will not be serviced. Took my big money somewhere else. read more
