My baby girl, Sadie Mae, absolutely loved this park as did I!! Very spacious and well landscaped. There were a few furry babies when we arrived that welcomed us with open arms. Sadie had the time of her time today! There's a nice trail to walk nearby as well' Definitely will return!

This is a beautiful large dog park! There are separate areas for small and large dogs. The grounds are very well maintained- bordering on immaculate! The groundskeeping staff even waits to MOW until the pooches are finished playing- aw! There are water stations for the pups, waste stations and benches for us humans- yay! I have met nice people and sweet pooches- TIPS the shade disappears about 1130 am so plan on coming before then or later in the day. Bring a water bowl to fill so you can take it and your dog into the shaded areas at the base of the park- then you won't have to keep walking all the way back to water your pup- we fill a jug and fill our bowl that way because you're sure to make new thirsty fur friends! If dogs aren't your thing they have 2 different walking trails, a bike path, a kids playground and even a frisbee golf course- which I know nothing about but it looks cool!

Lilly also gives the dog park 5 stars.

Horizons is my favorite dog park. There is two divided spaces for small and large dogs. There is also a lot of grass so it gets less muddy then other parks I have been to. They also have a doggy water fountain during the warmer months. If you go in the winter you need to bring your own water. The trails and other parts of the park are nice but we mainly go for the dog park part.

bunnie just had her first trip to the park and she loved it!!!!

Though I've taken my dog to the park here before, we prefer to explore the hiking trails that run through the woods.

Well paved trails, dedicated dog run areas with double fencing for large and small breeds with plenty of waste receptacles and water fountains, a basketball and Pickleball/tennis court, perfect for bringing your pets, going for a jog or just a peaceful walk. Plenty of picnic tables with grills for get-togethers. Two parking areas. A restroom set in the middle. Simply another nice little gem that the town of Kernersville.

There is even a creek if your kids enjoy water play. The trails are paved so it's excellent for riding bikes or scooters too. The playground itself has multiple slides, swings, plenty of obstacles for the kids to climb and what I found most fascinating was the monkey bars that were toddler height! I have never seen that on a playground before so it was very appealing to me since my child enjoys them but is always in need of assistance considering they are often so high. In addition to the playground there is a basketball court, skate park and tennis court. The park seems well maintained, the bathrooms are little dated so it would be nice to see an improvement with that one day. Great place to rent an outdoor shelter for a cookout or birthday party.

And saw there was no reviews, tips, or photos. So I drove to it, passing it a couple of times before I realized, it was a dog park, on the edge of the park, across from the cemetery. Creepy. I never been to a dog park before, so I didn't know what I was looking for. It was two separate fenced in fields, about an acre each. One field is for small and older dogs. The other side was for large dogs. That's great because my puppybutt has a Napoleon complex. There were benches, waste receptacles, and water fountains inside of each. You must register before entering the park. It didn't take long to do. You can let your dog off it's leash, if you choose. I did so because there wasn't any other dogs inside the one I went into. However, you must be within ear shot of your dog, in case you need to call out to them. Kind of like a child at a playground. You want to be mindful. Most of the rules are common sense, but again, be mindful that you're not the only one there. All dogs entering must wear a collar (non spiked or choke), show tags, and rabies tags. Must be leashes entering and exited. No females dogs that are in heat. A max of 2 dogs per person. No children under the age of 16 without adult accompanied. No food, drink, or glass containers, no smoking, no alcohol, and no food are allowed inside. No aggressive dogs. I've been here a few times and it's always been pretty peaceful. Twice there weren't other small dogs present. That's probably because I went during the week, while 1st shifters were still at work. If you have a dog and are looking for a bark park, this one is a pretty good one to visit. Haven't had a bad experience yet and my dog seems to love the space.
