We were asked to take our water bottle to the car. She wouldn't even let us empty it out and fill it with their water. Thankfully, the grill gave us a free water. However, within our lane beside the chairs, there is a spot for three drinks to be held - where our drinks were sitting. The worker came and told me that my drink, if not in my hand, had to be sitting on the back wall. I'm sorry but I do not like to have my back turned to my drink. I don't feel comfortable with the idea of someone touching my drink, taking it, or possibly putting something bad in it. I followed her rules and took it to the back wall when I was up to bowl. However, one time I had a child leaning up next to my drink and putting their shoes on the table beside my drink. I was just not a fan of this rule. But they own the place so they get to make the rules - just be aware of this. I told a friend about this incidence and she said she has never had a problem with being told to move her drinks out of the cup holder. Who knows?

You get a text the day of, then you get another text right before your time slot with the exact bay you're in. On a busy weekend this is great since you avoid the longer check in line and go straight to your bay. During off peak hours this probably isn't necessary, but we avoided a 10+ deep line to check in when we were there. Service was a bit lacking. We had to hunt down our server (or a server when ours was nowhere to be found), to order anything or get refills. The bay next to us was dealing with the same thing. When we did get our orders, it was great and the kids enjoyed the drinks and apps. With a little better server experience, this place would be 5 stars for sure. Regardless, it's an excellent outing to enjoy with friends, family, or a solo practice session for yourself.

So since I work from home and my hours are flexible, I take advantage of their cheaper morning and early afternoon rates, especially on Tuesdays when all play is half off. Lately, I have been going a lot with a friend who bought their summer fun pass, and that has been an excellent decision for us both. If you're a Costco member, it's worth it to swing into the Costco down the road and get a gift card that effectively makes the whole experience 25% off. I don't usually eat or drink much when I go. On my own, I usually tell my server if they'll just bring me a water it's safe to ignore me until my time is up. Sometimes I want a tea. However, when I go in a group more often than not the service is exceptionally lacking. Training is also lacking. At one point, they tried to charge a friend of mine for every refill of ginger ale, saying it was a drink from the bar... lol. The manager took care of it, but wow, I mean... it's a soda. Just your life experience should tell you, it's a free refill in the south. There is one older manager who really always seems to be busting his butt to make sure everyone gets taken care of, but he can only do so much. It's not to say that from time to time, we get a really great server that is on top of things, but I would say more than half the time, there are issues. No issue at all with the actual golf experience. Topgolf may be set up for fun, and it is, but you also can get some decent practice in. Toptracer gives you useful information about your shots, distance, ball speed, and flight path. You can hit a lot of balls if your group doesnt spend too much time playing with the screen or watching every shot to the finish. I'll continue to visit this Topgolf, but there are definitely ways it could improve, hence the 4.

The weird side entrance was almost hidden and scary, unsure of if I was walking into a warehouse. The whole area inside has not been cleaned since the year 2000, no toilet paper in the restroom, skates were moldy smelling. I slid on something brown while skating (looked like a cigarette filter) and then almost tumbled because of my wheels hitting one of the multiple divits in the cement; yes, it's a cement warehouse floor. You pay on the right and then go to the left to trade your shoes for skates and upon returning your skates, the employee will spray Lysol in the air (none touched the shoes). The whole place has a sad, tired, liminal feel. I would definitely get out of there before dark because I saw 3 people walk through the skate parking lot that you could tell were searching for their next freebie.

Playing in the early fall the course was in…read morereasonably good shape overall (the fairways were cut a bit long for my taste), and the greens were immaculate. IMMACULATE. True and challenging. Course offers a nice combination of uphill and downhill, long and short, left and right bending holes. There are some greenside bunkers but for the most part the green complexes are open in front (except for a couple of par 3s that you have to carry all the way to the green). Although the price gap between the riding discount of $25 and whatever walking costs can't be that much, the course is relatively walkable. I'm looking forward to ditching the electronic buggy next time. BTW, please ignore the idiot reviewer "Kevin G." and his BS comments about gunshot wounds and crack houses near the course. You are more likely to get hurt crossing the road while playing than you are from these other things.
