There is even a creek if your kids enjoy water play. The trails are paved so it's excellent for riding bikes or scooters too. The playground itself has multiple slides, swings, plenty of obstacles for the kids to climb and what I found most fascinating was the monkey bars that were toddler height! I have never seen that on a playground before so it was very appealing to me since my child enjoys them but is always in need of assistance considering they are often so high. In addition to the playground there is a basketball court, skate park and tennis court. The park seems well maintained, the bathrooms are little dated so it would be nice to see an improvement with that one day. Great place to rent an outdoor shelter for a cookout or birthday party.

The "rufferees" are amazing with the dogs and remember each one. The bartenders remember your favorite drink and are awesome too. All the employees and the owners remember you and your dog's name (like Cheers, everybody knows your name) and like I said, it's a home there. My Noelle comes home so tired every time we go and sleeps the night away. I also want to thank all the employees and the other customers who helped me through the loss of my dog Zoey. They loved her here and were all devastated too when she passed away. With open arms, they all welcomed me back with Noelle. You can't ask for a better place to spend your evening.

It is small but well useful, and it works especially well during events like First Fridays and the Christmas festival as extra space. The playground is a hit with my kids and makes it easy to stop and let them burn off energy while walking around downtown. The restaurant stalls are a nice touch, and grabbing things like hot chocolate in the winter is a favorite for the family. It feels welcoming, lively, and well integrated into the surrounding downtown.

It was a beautiful day so we went for a lovely walk to look at the monuments and flowers. We saw some wildlife and many dogs on leashes!! The park was free to enjoy! There was plenty of parking spots and restrooms. Inside the Visitors Center is a museum, some hands on display items to touch, a gift shop and 2 separate films to enjoy. A 10 min one and a 30 minute one to enjoy for free as well... Highly recommend visiting the park if you are in the area!!

I do wish there was a way to double press some of the exhibits inside, to be able to disable them. The speakers are quiet loud, and our little of course wanted to press the buttons, even after we moved on from that section. Then she complained about the loud noise of the speakers. It was fun learning about the parks history, doing the activities inside, and walking the grounds to see the grave sites, statues, and go hunting for wildlife scavenger hunt. The ranger that was on-site was very friendly and patient with our little when she interviewed him for one of the activities in the booklet and when presenting her with her badge. As we were leaving the ranger let us know about some other opportunities for guest to earn different badges at the park. We will have to try next time we are in town.

When you arrive, there is plenty of parking, a public restroom, and a playground. This is a perfect place to bring the family for some outdoor fun! We were very impressed with how clean the trail was. Throughout the trail, there are trash cans and benches for resting about every mile or so. The trail was also very flat! This is a great trail for walking, running, or biking! We will definitely be back.
