    Jamison Park playground

Lots of ninja like things and good for a few different ages. I only wish it was fenced in and had some sort of shade at the playground.

    Outcroppings, dog park and trails.

I used to go here before they made this park and it is awesome now. Its clean and walkways everywhere that connect to the long pathway from Countryclub rd and Robinhood Rd. There is a dog park that isn't over crowded and offers separate areas for small dogs as well as large ones. It has a picnic shelter and offers bicycles to ride. Access the Park off Meadowlark Dr.

Great trail for walking, running, walking the dogs or riding a bike. The Old Salem section of the Strollway is a 5 star. The trail takes you right past Old Salem. You will pass right by the Old Salem Visitors Center and the Heritage Bridge. You can cross over the street using the bridge and visit Old Salem if you like. The trail in this section is wide enough for all people coming and going. If you follow the Strollway south you will end up at the Greenway, which you can take to Winston-Salem State or Salem Lake to the west, or Washington Park to the east, but that is another review. You do have to cross over a busy street (Salem Avenue) but there is a nice wine shop on the other side. The northern route past Old Salem takes you to downtown and ends at 4th Street. This takes you under Business 40 and past Corpening Plaza park. Nice part of this section is you end up right into the heart of all of the downtown restaurants on 4th Street. This section requires crossing 3 streets in downtown. The only reason I don't have the Strollway rated 5 stars is the section running under Business 40 can be a little sketchy. This will change after the Business 40 renovations are completed.

A pleasant 1.2 mile trek from downtown Winston-Salem to Old Salem/Salem Ave. it's a leisurely walk…read moredown tree lined sidewalks passing residential areas, cafes, and historical Old Salem which is where the Moravians settled in the early 1800's. Whether leisurely, or for hard core exercise, this is a magnificent adventure!
