We went to check out the playgrounds on this particular day, and there is two separate playgrounds which have their own parking lot. You will need to drive to each one, they are not close enough to walk. The first one was near a shelter and bathroom and had more to do. Though the second one I preferred because it was in the shade but there was no bathroom. This was the only frustrating part because I feel like you have to cut your time short or pack everyone up just to go pee. I hope they consider a solution for this because it's enough of a drawback for me not to consider going again. I have also played volleyball here and I can attest that they are great courts!

They are doing construction so we had to park on one of the adjacent parking lots, not the Carousel parking lot. Then we had to drive around to get the Carousel, but a good afternoon at the park all the same. They have a zip line over the lake also, but someone said it is close for about 4 months.

That was frustrating, but the carousel was so little person friendly from the purple tokens in the gauze bag, the very child oriented attendants and the fairly long ride that we loved that part. At the CP entrance parking was scarce, but once accomplished the paths and equipment, the ponds and boats all full of happy families was a fun place to be on a Saturday morning. Glad we met at Guilford Battleground/Country Park.

It was a bright warm sunny day so the weather made our trek even more enjoyable. 4 Stars a cool community park and worth a visit 01178

There's the upper loop walking path which is quiet, peaceful, and scenic. You can get your exercise in or find a bench and soak up some rays. It's especially beautiful during the fall foliage! I also love the pond with the fountain and ducks, and they allow for fishing as well. And of course there's the historic tree! They were renovating the deck this most recent time we went, but normally you can stand inside the hollow of the tree. Such an amazing sight to behold! There's also picnic tables and a nice playground structure for the kids. My only complaint is the playground is fully baked in the sun. It could benefit from a canopy overhead for some shade so the equipment doesn't get blazing hot.

It's so nice to have such clean facilities with locks on the door that work properly. Unfortunately so many of the bathrooms at public playgrounds are a disaster but that's not the case here. The picnic benches are close by so if you want to sit and watch your children play you are still within reach. The walking trails go on for miles and are all paved. Great for walking, running, riding bikes or scooters. On the other side of the park there are basketball courts, workout stations, a dog park and a baseball field. The walking trails at Creekside Park are fantastic; lots of greenery or autumn foliage depending on the season.
