Today we attended the free yoga in the park event! It started just as the sun was setting behind the buildings so the grass was cool and enjoyable! We brought our mats but I could see you doing the yoga on the grass or a towel if you did not own a yoga mat. Afterwards, our large group stood around chatting. The instructor actually approached our group to make sure we all had a good time; we did! Thanks Winston for another amazing social event! (6-18-2021) Most Sincerely, Dayla

Bailey park has always been a good spot to walk around, chill, and even eat at. Cute area downtown Winston Salem. The architecture is nice all around. Also food trucks stop here a few days a week. I know Urban street grill (one is my fave trucks) is here every Wednesday for lunch. Check them out!!! But the park is great they have tables and chairs for you to sit and do work at or even have a meal. The grass area is really nice as well. You can also walk around the park to get some exercise in. Sometimes they hold yoga in the park and work out sessions. Not sure of the schedules though. If you have free time, check out this cute little park downtown!

At the center of historic downtown Winston-Salem, Bailey Park is a peaceful oasis to enjoy some outdoor time and take in the sights. You can routinely find a food truck parked nearby too, or you can take a short walk and find a bite to eat from a number of places nearby. Parking can be a bit of a challenge on the weekend if you want a spot right on top of the park itself, and I discovered the hard way one parking spot that must've got hit by a meteor recently because they still haven't filled that crater in. Also got approached last time by someone begging for money, but that aside, this is a great place to stop and enjoy the nice weather when you're in the downtown area!

Nice park on the east side of downtown, heart of the Innovation Quarter. Lots of green space, water feature, and plenty of seating. Love the multi colored chairs and tables. Some seating areas with large umbrellas to give you some shade from the sun. The park also has restrooms which is a plus. Dog friendly. The park even has the doggie poop bags if you need them. Bike rentals next to the park. Recommend the park. It is a little bit of a walk to get to from the heart of downtown, but worth it. Lots of things going on in the Innovation Quarter section now, including bars and restaurants right across the street from Bailey Park.

Beautiful park and wonderful addition to the downtown Winston-Salem area. Great place just to relax and have some "me" time - lay in the grass or else there are several tables and chairs to sit at. Parking is limited depending on the day and time.

I love spending time out here to take in the walk-friendly area with my family. From picnics out on the lawn to personal days off from work to enjoy a nice day with my daughter, it's a great place to unwind and relax. It's also super photogenic! There are lots of great places in close proximity to it like the Bailey South Lowline, smokestacks, and more to get some great backdrops for photographs with the fam.

This is such an awesome addition to downtown! I went quite a few times this Summer for a variety of events. My favorite is Sunset Thursday's which is put on by Flow Honda. They bring in food trucks, bands, and it is an all around great place to spend a Thursday Summer evening. The park itself is laid out quite nice. It has a big concrete patio area with little cafe tables set up, then there is a big grassy area in front of the stage. They also have a large grassy area that is in front of where the food trucks. More importantly they actually have bathrooms. I'm pretty sure the park was designed by Stich, it's super modern and all around great event venue.

I'm glad they are finally done with this park. It is nice to walk outside and see people having fun with their dogs. Seeing the greenery. It's cool when they have concerts even though the ones that have come aren't my favorite. I really do want to see the bike races soon and it's a nice event right outside my front door. 4 stars because of the timing and I wish they would put on more events during the week to get people out. Again, just glad the construction is done and they finally made up their mind on the design plans. Let's hope they keep it going.

Great location to hang out and listen to music. There is Taco truck and a gelato stand available. Colorful table and chairs under umbrellas to sit and enjoy your food and to chill. Parking is available but at a premium as it is on venues.

Great trail for walking, running, walking the dogs or riding a bike. The Old Salem section of the Strollway is a 5 star. The trail takes you right past Old Salem. You will pass right by the Old Salem Visitors Center and the Heritage Bridge. You can cross over the street using the bridge and visit Old Salem if you like. The trail in this section is wide enough for all people coming and going. If you follow the Strollway south you will end up at the Greenway, which you can take to Winston-Salem State or Salem Lake to the west, or Washington Park to the east, but that is another review. You do have to cross over a busy street (Salem Avenue) but there is a nice wine shop on the other side. The northern route past Old Salem takes you to downtown and ends at 4th Street. This takes you under Business 40 and past Corpening Plaza park. Nice part of this section is you end up right into the heart of all of the downtown restaurants on 4th Street. This section requires crossing 3 streets in downtown. The only reason I don't have the Strollway rated 5 stars is the section running under Business 40 can be a little sketchy. This will change after the Business 40 renovations are completed.
