Multiple feeder paths along the Greenway allow a greater number of residents who live close to the trail to enjoy its relaxing atmosphere and place to exercise. At the trail's two endpoints, adequate parking is available. Additional notes: -The dog-friendly nature is backed up by locations with baggies and waste receptacles. -On the safety side: The trail is not lit up at night and is very dark.

There are picnic tables under the gazebo connected to the restrooms. There is a children's play area and the path also runs alongside a property that has beautiful horses. The path is connected to several local communities....lucky them! Definitely a park that you can come exercise or come do some reading, relaxing or even "Work from home"! She acts like she runs the place and she has a mean little dog who terrorizes most pups who try to enter. She will lazily call, "oh, he jut wants to play!" As her horrible dog tries to menace your pets, then rolls her eyes and eventually strolls over when the horrid thing gets actively violent. I think she likes having the park to herself, and she gets there super early, so everyone else just sort of avoids her spot. The good news is that she's usually gone by 10 or 11 AM, but she's a menace.

This park has a walking trail that is paved and stroller friendly, and a couple of playgrounds intersect this on either side. Looks like one playground also contains a splash pad, but this was closed off when we went. Not sure if because it was still early in the season or if it's still shut down due to the pandemic. On the other side of the parking lot is a unique outside gym area with several pieces of equipment. Elliptical, stepper, pull-up bars, resistance trainers, and signage accompanying with instructions. This is under a canopy and looks well maintained. Adjacent to this is also a court area for playing horseshoes and pétanque. They also host a friendly and free pétanque league here! I had to look up what pétanque was, and seems like it's very similar to bocce ball. I might join up this summer! They gather on Sunday afternoons.

You could also very easily just sit and relax here by the waterside or stroll around. But if you want to get on the lake, this is the prime spot. Bird watching along the shoreline is great from the vantage point of the kayak. With a vast array of birdsong to ID, you can even see kingfishers ducking, diving, and doing anything to ruin your chances of proving they exist with a photograph. But at least you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing float to ease the soul.

Despite coming across more than one of these irresponsible owners, more than once or twice, they just kept letting their large dogs off leash as soon as they felt they were out of sight! The park isn't huge, so it's easy to keep coming across people. If I come again and this happens, I'll be calling animal control. It's not right to make people anxious simply because you don't feel like following the rules.
