Okay so after a delayed flight back to New York me and my friend were basically stuck with a decison to make. A free rescheduled flight to new york with a nice amount of sleep in a hotel in Chantilly VA? Or a 6 hr bus ride to new york after being on a plane for at least most of the damn day. The decison wasn't hard. A night in Virginia it was!! So we decided to find something to eat. And I mean a real meal since all we had was chips, soda and cheez itz on a plane that we had been on for HOURS. Anyhow most places close early in Virginia so we had to narrow it down to fast food or hooters which happened to be open. Hooters it was!! We ordered a platter of wings of our choices which came with lemon pepper shrimp, cajun wings and honey wings as well. We also ordered some drinks and sliders with curly fries. Let me tell you...this food hit the damn SPOT!! Everything was nice and hot and the drinks were huge. It was around 11 something when we got there but they definitely didn't serve us crappy leftovers. Was super tasty and fresh. And our waiter was nice. We literally DEVOURED THAT FOOD!! And btw everything came up to about 40 dollars. Honestly isn't bad because it was a good amount of food split between me and my friend. And 20 dollars a piece? Sounds like a deal to me! read more

Been there twice in the last month. Both times sat at the bar and had beer and sliders. Each time I also had the same server / bartender. If I rated this place on my first visit it would have been a 1 star rating. Although the Chicken sliders were pretty good. Better than I expected, the service was somewhat rude and disjointed. What the hell happened to the Hooters franchise? The wings are hit and miss, which is sad since those are one of the most popular dishes at Hooters. We got the smoked wings one night and they were amazing! Came back a few days later and they were incredibly over salted, dry and the size of my pinky..not impressed. I do have to give a shout out to my waitress Diamond because she was fantastic both times I came in. As far as service, there's no negative comment here for that because she was awesome. The food lacked flavor, especially the curly fries they tasted as if I heated up a potato and ate it. The sauce for the food wasn't spicy, so for someone that loves spicy, It was quite disappointing . I just have to say this is by far the best Hooters experience I have had. Customer service was just on point. My waitress hit it on the dot every time. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. She came in and checked in on us very frequently. The manager of the store came by TWICE first to ask how everything was and fill in when our waitress had to sing happy birthday and could not return our check due to that. He brought our check so we could leave. In between all of this we had another waitress who filled in and made sure we got our food promptly. Customer service is a big deal to me. I have never seen three people interweave throughout the entire service of my visit while tending to multiple guests. Okay, I will shut up about customer service. Let's move into the food. It kills me that there are more BWW than there are Hooters. The food is 5x better. I ordered the 3 Mile Island and Garlic Habanero traditional crispy wings. I'm just going to put out there that I'm Asian so I did not get any heat from the 3 Mile Island. The flavors were perfect. It tasted very much like Tennessee hot chicken but in wing style! The Garlic Habanero were salty with lots of garlic flavor. The curly fries were cooked perfectly! They were also hot when they came out. My typical experience is that they come out soggy and crispy. I'm not sure how that happens. Sauces: They were evenly coated. Fresh: HOT N JUICY. Crisp: PERFECTLY CRISPY. Perfect amount breading. Wing Size: Large and meaty. So I also had the Frozen Watermelon Margarita. It was 5$. I couldn't resist. Jeez, it was amazing and refreshing. I thought the alcohol content was low, but then I realized I was wrong after I finished my meal and the drink. Beyond worth the 5$. I mean the food was just fantastic. I haven't been to a Hooters in 5 years because that's all I see is BWW. If food and service is like this every time, I'll make sure I come once a week. Our waitress continuously disappeared for large periods of time on a slow, Saturday afternoon. After awhile we realized why she was taking so long. She was seated at a nearby table, flirting. Big boo for service. As for the food, my friend thought that his parmesan garlic wings tasted like vomit. This may have just been a matter of taste, but with that reaction I stayed far away from them. I was also a little bummed out to find that the burgers don't come with fries here on most days. If I wanted fries or tater tots, I would have had to order them as a side dish, so I opted for the complimentary cole slaw instead. Nothing special about the burger or the slaw. I found them both rather bland and flavorless. The only saving grace was that our glasses were refilled diligently, but other than that the overall experience was less than impressive. I sauntered up to the bar that was less than half full. Bartender was gorgeous. Total eye candy. Unfortunately she appeared just out of control. Slow to refill drinks. Slow to take food orders. More like a 3.5 stars. This has been a go to spot for happy hour for my coworkers and I on a stressful day of work. Their happy hour specials on food is pretty good and they have good deals on beer, but I wanna say not so much on their other mixed drinks or anything. Some of my favorite appetizers: fried pickles (always a good choice), mozzarella sticks (love how the cheese pulls apart when you take a bite), and their sliders. I've had their snow crabs before and a surprisingly interesting place to have snow crabs. It's actually pretty decent. Mostly come here for their wings and it's the breading I like about here. It's different than other places. I also tried their fish tacos. I'm not sure how I really feel about it at the moment. It was... pretty good. We were all hungry & thirsty so we ordered our bevvies and some fried pickles while we perused the menu. We asked our waitress if it was Happy Hour & she said No I don't think so. So we order a mess of wings with 3 different sauces. Spicy Garlic, Hot & General Tso's. And since we still hadn't received the pickles we ordered 15 minutes ago reminded our server about them. I struggled to do this rating given the overall experience. I wish I could rate my meal, then all the issues with service, and our waitresses attitude all separately as the stars would greatly vary. So instead I want to break each one down and why overall I give it about a 2.5 (rounded up) average. Food and Service: Me- I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were truly amazing. Person 2- bone in wings hooters style mild:"; they tasted like mushy Tabasco as the breading wasn't crisp (I tried one) and really left so much to be desired. Person 3- BYOB (build your own burger with tots (she never asked him what he wanted as a side and just brought him fries then got an attitude when he stated she never asked him and had walked off immediately) and they forgot his sauce on his burger and undercooked it. We didn't say anything due to it flowing fight night and how awful our waitresses attitude was. Person 4- hooters wings (she asked for two different sauces to rest before ordering her wings and again after ample eye rolling from the waitress she brought them out. We also ordered a dozen oysters and she informed us something along the lines of they weren't frozen properly or something after we asked her to hat market price was, she told up 20 then we placed said appetizer order. To be told they couldn't serve them. Which I do appreciate they didn't serve as it could have made us sick but when she got the price and came back it would have been nice to know this then. SOLELY ABOUT SERVICE: As for the drinks she messed up the beer orders and brought a bottle for one party member instead of a draft. She gave us so many issues about one persons ID having a crack in it and we had to wait for management (who came glances at it then allowed him to order.) Mind you he's boarded planes and gone through TSA with said ID within the past month so why she couldn't accept it baffles me. And even though another member of the party went to take a call when we ordered our drinks she gave us lots of huffing and puffing and eye rolling about getting a bottle of wine since it was just me sitting there at that moment with the others who ordered beer. Atmosphere: As touched on our waitress was a living nightmare who by the end of the meal left is all very uncomfortable and our meal less than pleasant. I understand you may deal with rowdy people; or have an off night but start to finish she was down right miserable. She made what could have been an enjoyable experience so awful we left before the big fight because we legitimately no longer wanted to deal with her atrocious behavior and treatment. I will mention too when we paid we put the meal on one card and tipped her. It was about a hundred. I left 20 and handed her the cash with the card. She came back and ran the card for 100 kept the 20 and pretended like she didn't know we wanted change. Tbh I was only going to tip 10% due to how truly unfortunate the overall everything but my tacos and my friends samurai style wings were. Sad to say we made it a point to come here when visiting from out of town as we do every time and will probably will not return again. I had some of the breaded wings at the Hooters in Fredericksburg, VA several months ago and I thought they were fantastic, super crispy and almost like a buttery flavor to them so when I got a hankering for them again I dragged my family to the one in Chantilly- much to my daughter's embarrassment and chagrin. Oh well, I told her- good food is good food and frankly, Hooters is tame compared to what you see walking around the local malls these days. I was extremely disappointed in the wings at this location, they were really, really greasy and that tells me that the grease was not hot enough when the wings were put into the fryer- anyone who has worked at a restaurant for 20 minutes knows this. We ordered a pretty fair amount of wings- 20 of one kind, 10 of another and what probably happened is the kitchen staff put all 20 in one basket, cooling the grease off to an unacceptable temperature. Other items we ordered were not very good- a cheeseburger that was bone dry and half the size of the pictures you see on the menu, fries were greasy too. Went to eat on a Sunday evening, not that busy at all, so of course I expected decent service, yeah right... The staff was more interested in their group conversation amongst each other, rather than the patrons. I ordered wings, fries, and the peel & eat shrimp. Wings were okay, to be expected, but the shrimp were not cooked and the fries were cold and hard. When the waitress finally did make it back over to check on me, I just asked for the check and I asked her to remove the fries and shrimp. They did remove them, but no manager came to speak with me. Having restaurant management in my background, that is definitely not standard procedure and should of been handled differently, especially when it came to raw shrimp. Today's visit was near perfect and worthy of a few words of recognition. Only a few (minor) negatives. One -- the wings weren't thoroughly tossed. I ordered the traditional style/hot. They arrived quickly and plenty hot, leaving me to think they probably had time to toss them a few more minutes. My other pet peeve is when the wait staff congregates in the kitchen vs. engaging the clients. Some locations are really good at this, others not so much. Together, these were pretty minor things and barely worth a 1 star deduction. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives. To start, our server was "Andy" this visit. She was outgoing, friendly and checked on us regularly. We also were visited by a Manager, twice during our meal. He worked the room and made sure folks were happy. I neglected to point out the "bald" spots on my wings, cuz I had devoured half of them already. Had I said something, I'm sure he would have addressed it. Food taste was excellent, size of the wings and taste was up to snuff. Lastly, our server Andy brought a desert tray by in hopes to tempt us. Ah, my first review for Yelp. I've been an avid visitor / user of the site for many years now, but never felt the need to contribute my thoughts. Until our latest attempt with what they seemingly like to call food and service at our local Hooters restaurant ... We've lived in this area for @ 10 years now and first visited this Hooters location about eight years ago. It was a great visit - food was hot and fresh, service was super friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. My husband and I had a great time on a Friday night and vowed to return whenever we felt the need to clog our arteries with greasy, fried foods and dine in a room teeming in orange. That happened maybe once every couple of years, and all visits tended to go in a similar fashion - decent food, friendly service, good times. Then, we visited last summer and - lo and behold - it was like Grumpy Cat had taken over management of the place and instilled his personality among the servers. Our waitress was either confused (we had to ask for silverware at least twice), clueless (she asked what I was drinking each time I asked for a refill), or just plain rude (we had to flag her down for refills and, even then, she'd look at us sometime and then just turn right around and walk away). Needless to say, we made that our last ever trip to the restaurant. However, yesterday was Super Bowl LI - otherwise known as The Day the Patriots Massacred the Falcons - and the kids were hankering for some good wings. We figured we'd give Hooters another try. Why not? We'd ordered from there for the past 4-5 Superbowl Sundays, all without fail. Since we weren't dining in, we figured we would not be subjected to the poor, sad attempts at "customer service" they like to put on display at the restaurant. Boy, were we wrong. We ordered early that morning and set pick-up time for 5 pm. My husband went to pick up the food, arriving @ 4.55 pm, and got to witness again the lack of logic and sense that goes into management's decisions. There was no separate pick-up line at the carry-out counter, so he had to stand behind at least five people in line, waiting to place their orders. He didn't get our food until @ 5.15 pm. By the time he got home @ 5.30 pm, everything was cold and soggy and pretty much inedible. But, we soldiered on, because we're strong, hardy folks who refuse to give in. Or we're just a bunch of idiots who were starving and there was no other football game-ready food in our house. You take your pick. So we opened up our containers to check out the booty (no pun intended - we weren't dining in the restaurant, remember?). The nachos were nasty - in previous years, they had put the topping in separate containers so the chips would stay crisp and fresh. Not this time. Everything was dumped on top so the chips were droopy and wilty and limpy and ... blah. The same with the tater tots (told you we like to clog up our arteries). The toppings were all on top, so it was all mushy and mashed up after a while. What happened to previous years' system of keeping the toppings separate from the chips and the tots? That worked much better, but probably made too much sense and kept customers happy and returning, so pfffttt ... who needs happy and repeat customers, am I right? The best was my order of onion rings. For $4.99, I got ... drum roll, please ... a whopping FOUR onion rings in my order. FOUR, I tell you. Is there an onion shortage I don't know about? Are we at war and need onions in our regime's muskets and rifles and cannons; ergo, the common folks must forego this tasty treat so that we can conquer our enemies? It was a pretty sad sight, seeing those four rings of onion, sitting there so forlornly in the black take-out container, grinning weakly up at me sheepishly and with embarrassment, as if they knew I was disappointed in the order and, thus, including them in my censure and coming to the conclusion that they were inferior to me. Which they were. Especially when fried to whatever the opposite of "crisp" is. So .. in conclusion, not only was the game disappointing (I guess I can stop preaching that phrase 'Cheaters never win' to my kids), but the food was even more of a let-down. I mean, we were all expecting the Falcons to lose, but maybe not so badly or embarrassingly, but we thought we'd at least be able to enjoy eating fatty, fried foods in the process. No can do. This Hooters location has lost its marbles, apparently, and has vowed to make the customer's experience - whether dining in or carrying out - to be the worst possible he / she can possibly experience, even for a hokey, low-cost restaurant that relies on a cartoon owl with googly eyes to market its wares. To the wait staff at the Chantilly Hooters (or any Hooters for that matter), you CAN GET GOOD TIPS from couples (a man and a woman). Being apathetic or indifferent with your service, hoping that they'll quickly leave the restaurant, is counterproductive for everyone involved. You can make good money from couples, while having fun with it, by doing the following: When a couple enters the restaurant or is seated at one of your tables, smile and say hi to the man while looking him in the eye. This is the last time you will initiate any interaction with him for the rest of the evening (including body language. This is important.). Then, turn and give a bigger smile and friendlier greeting to the woman that is with him. Give her a compliment (her hair, clothes, makeup,...whatever). Write your name on a napkin with a smiley face and write "I love your smile" and slide the napkin directly to the woman while looking at her in the eye. While looking only at her, ask, "Can I get you all something to drink?" Come by their table often. Look only at the woman and flirt with or good-naturedly tease her. Try to get her to laugh or smile. Find an excuse to lightly touch her, such as telling her her nails look great and if you can look at them more closely (then lightly touch her hand) or touch her shoulder. Only look at her man if he asks you something, then immediately turn your attention back to the woman. Your goal is to make her feel comfortable, relaxed, and appreciated. If the woman is enjoying herself and feels good about the situation, she will tell the man with her that she wants to stay and order more drinks and food, which will increase the size of your tip. Also, if she likes you and feels complimented, she won't mind if her man tips you more than 20% when they leave. In fact, she may even tell him to tip generously. Women enjoy flattering attention from attractive women as much as men do, perhaps even more. If a guy comes in with his wife/girlfriend and one of her girlfriends, focus on the woman who is "with" the man as she is likely the leader of the group. If it's a larger group, figure out which woman is the "alpha" or leader of the women and focus on her. This is my go to local spot for big beers, interesting conversation with friendly patrons, and talented and fun bartenders and servers. During your visit, if you sit at the bar you will love Daisy (beautiful and sweet), Allison (beautiful, sweet and Daisy's best bud), Kristina, Keona, Jessica, Hailey, Alexis and many other fun and talented young ladies. You are welcomed with a greeting by the Hooter girls. Seating at the bar, hi tops around the bar and booths and tables. This is a great venue for watching sports, conducting meetings, parties, celebrations. Great wings (try the smoked wings), cold beer and drinks, friendly atmosphere, beautiful wait staff (very helpful and engaging). Give it a try, it's a fun experience. read more

All around gross. Food was awful, service was terrible, staff is overall washed up (many are way too old and trying way too hard...it's honestly sad and depressing), and everything felt sticky. As mentioned in other reviews (both here and on other websites), the bartender (Daisy) is the worst. If you want to be served by someone who thinks they're amazing yet actually just stares at their phone and does the absolute bare minimum, sit at the bar. The food is great but the servers and bartenders are stuck up and rude. I was in the area over the weekend working. I decided to order food and go pick it up both days as I love Hooters food. When you walk in, first off, it's very dimly lit in the restaurant. The girls BARELY spoke to me and were often staring me down. The hostess with glasses and red hair acted like she did not want to help me. I went to the bar to get my order and the chick with the long straight black hair and way too much eye makeup had a real funky attitude with me. I asked for my food and she hit it and came back still with no smile and a "hurry up and leave" attitude. It was the same on day two when my daughter and I came in on our way home to pick up our order. The patrons were nicer than the Hooters girls. I am a fried person and expect the same from people in a customer service job. I will never go back. read more

My family and I placed a To Go order using the online system at 3pm, for it to be ready at 4:40pm. While it was a fairly decent sized order (50 boneless bbq wings, 20 bacon wrapped Daytona, a kids boneless with curly fries and Mild buffalo sauce on the side) we figured we gave them ample time. We were wrong. Got to Hooters at 4:40 to pick it up and were told our order wasn't ready. There was a gentlemen waiting on a pick up order too. His food came out and they forgot his fries and his wings were ice cold, so we started to worry. 30 minutes later our food was finally ready. We were in such a rush to get home that we didn't even think to check it. Thankfully all of our food was in the bag and tasted great. However NONE of the Ranch we requested was there and we got 1 set of silverware for 5 people. I won't be back to this location, but I absolutely recommend the Fairfax Location. read more

In a word; AWFUL! The beer was flat (not just me, but the guy sitting in the booth next to me), service was painfully slow, and the food unimpressive. When the guy in the next booth called the manager to complain about the beer, to me it's a "no brainer"! The manager should have taken the beer off the bill. at least the beer should have been free. But to listen to the manager haggle with this guy was simply too much. I paid my bill, and told the guy in the next booth I'll never return. read more

According to the Hooters Employee Manual, Hooters Girls are required to acknowledge in writing that joking and sexual innuendo are likely to be part of the job. (At the same time, they are encouraged to contact management at the first sign of sexual harassment or customer misconduct, so calm down.) So, ok, everyone get over yourselves - - Hooters is A LOT of fun, especially if you're a chick who is a good sport and likes beer in mass quantities. A trip to Hooters makes for the best people-watching ev-ah *AND* the beers are so gigantic, it's tough to lift the glass until you've sucked down about a quart of suds. Burgers, great. The fries, eh. Didn't eat much that visit, but I hear the food is actually decent, if by decent, you mean greasy and fried, two very under-rated culinary techniques. There are TVs every which way, so there's not a bad seat in the place if you're just there to watch the game(s). If you're stuck in Chantilly, Hooter's is almost as fun as going to a gun show. read more
