Takes forever for food. And service is very slow as well. One thing that is okay is the beer cheese pretzel appetiser.

We came at 11:45pm on a Friday night. The lady at the front said, "we close at 12, sorry." So we were basically kicked out. Funny part is, that on the door it says they close at 1am. My party was planning on drinking and eating here. I guess this Hooters doesn't like making money. I gladly will take my business elsewhere! Never have I been turned down from an establishment. Very unprofessional and I hope this gets heard by upper management so they know their workers are turning away potential customers!! read more

Well first of all when taking our order our waiter was completely rude. Then after that when we finally get our food my sisters and brother in laws wings were like ice cold, and then when we told our waitress the manager came over and asked us what she could do to make this better, and we were like yeah hot wings. Then when I got my nachos I asked for no jalapeños and there were little jalapeños in my pico which I've never heard of jalapeños in pico and she didn't say anything to me about it. But then like a whole hour later when my mom and stepdad are officially done with their dinner, they bring out my food and they bring out my sister and brother in laws food. read more

Sunday... lots of vacant table, sat 1205 and an hour after the food was served. Food is great but do something about the wait time.

This hooters always seems to mess up my order it's ridiculous paying $50 for food and it not be right this is the second time I've come to this location and I'm truly disappointed read more

This place has only been open a week so you can expect there to be some issues to work out. However, yesterday 10 of us went the for lunch just after 11:00. Took over 25 minutes to get the beer we ordered. Took over an hour to get my food. Service was not good but the food was. I think I'll wait a couple of months before I visit there again. read more

Disappointing. Food was cold and they were out of Buffalo Hot sauce. Paid over $70 for a dinner we didn't enjoy.

Great service Angelica Ellie and Dee took very good care of me and my party friendly staff and great food glad to have them here in abilene not to mention the gm is always looking to take care of his clients. read more

I like hooters food but would give this dump 0 if it was possible. Never even got greeted at the wait station to be seated. Made eye contact with 2 of the staff members and was totally ignored. Stood there for 5-10 minutes and left--will not be back to ANY Hooters ever. There are better wings and service everywhere. read more

Food was subpar at best. Western BBQ burger didn't have bbq sauce or onion rings. They gave friend a mile high burger but doubled the meat - not a good thing actually. French fries and onion rings were cold and onion ring order looked like half of what it should be. Kitchen really let wait staff down read more

Food was pretty good. But the prices are way high. 5.29 for 4 onions rings. Not large onion rings, but small to average. With three girls working the bar a beer should not take 13 minutes when the place is not busy. read more

Terrible customer service! They tried to seat us at a tall table by the bar, and we asked to be seated at a regular table or booth due to my injured knee and my mother's handicapped arm. They said we would have to wait 10 minutes even though only 1/3 of their restaurant was occupied. Their was a booth open right in front of us. We will never visit them again!! They were totally rude and unconcerned. read more

My first time at the Abilene location and last. Food was cold and the waitress had her child at work. Paying more attention to the needs of the child versus doing the job she is getting paid to do. I cant believe the manager let this go on. Very unprofessional. I will be sure to tell everyone I know. Worst Hooters location I've ever been to, and ive been coast to coast. Sad this location puts a black eye on Hooters read more

This place was absolutely terrible. if you haven't been here yet, hurry because it won't last long with this type of service and food. First It took 40 minutes to get cold food, the wings where only partially sauced and no buns for hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. The service was repulsive. I'm. Certain this was the worst dinner I have ever had. Complete shit house. Sorry hooters but close this location and save face. You have always at every other location I've been to, been great. Not here. Shit shit shit. read more

I have been going here since they opened up. The start was very rocky to say the least. But it seems that lessons have been learned over time and they are stepping up their game now. The wait staff is way better now. They are prompt to get you seated and take your order. The food is wonderful. Great tasting wings with a good selection of brew. I recommend trying the "Stripper Dust" for a dark beer as it is brewed in Abilene by Pappy Slokum Brewery. Lots of TV's to watch your favorite sports on. My last 3 visits have all be very good. Glad to see this place is getting on track with what people expect when they eat out. I will be back soon. read more

The food is delicious and the building is very cool. We had a great experience here twice and I can't wait to go back. Don't let the reputation keep you away. Go try it for yourself. The fish and chips are yummy! read more

Horrible is all I can say. I have ordered from there twice now cause I willing to give places a second chance but not worth it. I literally ordered 3 things and they forgot one thing and I ordered through Grubhub so at least I got a refund but when I called to get it replaced they hung up on me. Don't waste you time. Plenty of other places to go that will do their job and treat you like a wanted customer. read more

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience at this Hooters. I have never had such bad service at a Hooters before & they're wings are my favorite so I've been to plenty others. The waitress was very inattentive & not sociable, she hardly talked to us the entire time, drinks were never refilled. When the food came out, 2 of our orders were cold & 1 was completely wrong. Do not recommend this Hooters. read more

This place is a joke. The first review looks really legitimate... 1. Service is really bad. 2. Had a 20 minute wait with barely anyone in the place. 3. 30 minute wait for our first drinks to come out. 4. A 50 cent charge for a glass to put a mixed drink in... What's that? 5. Place will close down within 6 months. read more

My husband and I decided to try it today. It had always been too busy before but since it was near 2:00 I thought it'd be ok. It wasn't. There were three groups ahead of us standing to be acknowledged at the front. Two groups sitting in the waiting area. Everyone waited patiently and no one came to the front so I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. I was told he couldn't come to the phone and to leave a message for him. Meanwhile one of the sitting group left. I told the woman who was taking my message that now four groups were standing up front to be acknowledged and no one had come. She had excuses about being shorthanded and I told her it still wasn't acceptable and we were leaving. So we did and won't be back. read more

Excellent service. Best shrimp. Great Daytona Wings. We were not impressed after they first opened but excellent food and great service we will definitely come again We love shrimp and crab legs there way better than red lobster. read more

SYSTEM DOWN! CANT DO ANYTHING! Welp. It was my birthday. Worked all afternoon. Was excited for some wings and some beer with my gal. Wasn't meant to be. Walked in the door. Was immediately greeted with the response of, "Well, we can't do anything. Our system is down. We can't send orders to the back or anything. We're helpless." Thanks for the great day!! read more

Since I was staying at the hotel across the street I wanted to try this place out but was concerned. On my first attempt to go to the restaurant a couple of months ago when I was in the area, the place was packed and the wait was ~45 minutes so I left. After reading the Yelp reviews I decided it was best to eat elsewhere, but I noticed the parking lot was half full when I drove by and decided to give it a shot. I was seated right away. My server, Hannah, was very attentive and checked on me several times. The manager even stopped by to see how things were. As for the food, the beer was cold and my salad/10 medium wings came out pretty quickly so no complaints here. Sounds like busy nights and overwhelmed staff lead to lots of negative reviews. Try this place on a weeknight. read more

Great service, great food.....even better is the manager, I think her name is Kara, greeting everyone making sure the customers are not in need of anything. Def will be back when visiting the area! read more

Worst experience I have had at any restaurant hands down. 4 reasons why to not waste your money: 1) the hostess refused to sit us at a high top table for some reason even though there were at least five open tables. This is after a 30 minute wait. 2) someone lost our nacho app order and that took thirty minutes to get to our table. The chips were stale also. 3) Took over 35 minutes to get our first beer. 4) The wings we ordered took over an hour to get to us and werent even hot. read more

Maybe the service here would be better if the General Manager wasn't creepily staring at the female servers, and the female manager wasn't unnecessarily calling police on her servers that she's yelling at the top of her lungs. We heard the entire disagreement and this manager is a bully and very abusive in dealing with her servers and seemed like she was just trying to get this young lady to leave. With all this turmoil no wonder you can't get your food out in timely manner. read more

I wish I could give this zero stars. The worst visit to an eating establishment I have experienced. After waiting 3 hours we left without getting as much as an appetizer. No food was being brought out of the kitchen. All we were told was that the kitchen was backed up. The table next to ours ordered chips and queso and the manager told the table that they were trying to borrow chips and queso from another restaurant. After waiting for so long with no one checking on our table or letting us know what was going on we tried to get our check and leave but that was too much to ask also. The manager actually told us to walk the check as she was telling others because she was unable to give anyone their tickets to pay the check. Lots of others had to walk out without receiving their order. One group said they had been there 4 hours. It was a total train wreck. read more

I love this place now! It seems they have worked out the kinks! Ive been meaning to update my review for months now. (Sorry Hooters!) Alison, at the bar, is really sweet and takes great care of me and my husband. The food is always good. Im excited to live near here! read more

Horrible service. One of the managers was sitting down with a group of people when we walked in he looked at us and went about his business took about 10 min until one of the servers noticed us and sat us down. Took another 10 min for our server Makalya to get drink order. About another 15 to get drinks. We ordered 2 simple appetizers and she couldn't get that right. Food was cold and appetizer sampler was half dry when it's supposed to be dipped in sauce. Server had a horrible attitude especially after we had to ask manager on duty for our check. MOD was too busy walking around flirting with all the men at bar. So needless to say if your going solely for the atmosphere this is a great place but if you want decent food and service you are better off somewhere else. read more

Manager Dee was awesome!! Our waitress, Gabbi, worked her tail off for our group and was wonderful.

Waited over an hour for food and 20 minutes just for a pitcher of beer. Waitress didn't know the difference between a corn tortilla and flour tortilla, which is super helpful for celiacs. read more

Been here twice now, both times has been great. Great friendly service. Wings were great both times. Crispy with plenty of sauce. Wife ordered buffalo shrimp, they came out great as well. Would recommend, great place to eat and hang out. read more

Poor service and poorer response from management and gm which maybe explains why this location is run the way it is. Visited there last month and had a waitress that didn't seem interested in helping anyone. Management did not seem to care when we asked for help. Called the feedback number on the receipt and talked with the gm. He said he would make things right but never followed up. read more

What is every body complaining about! Here on a busy Friday and service was great... from Brent the host to Atlanta the server to mgr on duty Kara who stopped by to check on us. Food was good too! read more

First off, the host was a little rude. Didn't say there was a wait and just handed us the buzzer. Then my fiancée went to go look for seats at the bar and I was just looking to see if there was any seats as well (not going far) and he stopped me asking if I even wanted a table still cause he needed that buzzer, as if I wasn't going to give it back. Our first bartender (sat at the bar) didn't really acknowledge us for a while.. even served a couple people before my fiancée and I. After finally receiving our drinks, again, she took a while to come over for our food order. But she had time to stand and laugh and goof around with another bartender. Shift change (without even telling us, just left) and the second bartender was a little better, just not very educated on the alcohol. I even watched her make a drink incorrectly following a recipe & watched the customer make a face and shake her head. I also noticed that the managers were working more than the servers were in the establishment and that the waitresses were standing around gossiping a bit and not really working. Not a lot of smiles either. I gave it a three because my food was good and the girls were at least somewhat nice, but I won't be going back unfortunately. Very disappointed in a place that I've loved since I was kid. read more

Came in around dinner time with a some what large party, place was not very busy. Ordered drinks and food everything started ok but then....after waiting 40 mins for the food to come out our waitress comes out starts handing food out but then comes to me and tells me the the don't have the type of wings my daughter ordered. After 40 mins and everyone else's food comes out!!! She picks another flavor then she approaches me to tell me that the 6 drums I requested aren't available they ran out!! Guess what??? Another person at the table order all flats and on her plate....drums ‍ Poor server didn't really know what to do seemed new, said the kitchen staff tried finding her to let her know but she couldn't be found. I usually enjoy hooters food but was not impressed with this location. However the server did try to make the situation better by asking the mgr to remove the .60 cent charge for the all drum request and she ended up comping my meal. All in all I think communication between the cooks and servers needs to improve! read more

Maybe they are still working out the kinks a week later. Sssslow service, don't expect straws or sauce to be something that just happens. The lot of tots, sounds good but it's more like a handful of tators with scraps of bacon and a spoonful of sour cream. The ran out of breading for the chicken. But are known for the wings. hmm. read more

This Hooters is sub par at best! Service was awful!! It actually seemed that the wait staff did not want to be there!!! We waited two hours for a take out order of 15 wings! The wings were great but service is terrible. Needs a whole lite of improvement!!! read more

I almost didn't go bc of all the bad reviews. However, I'm glad I did. Service was prompt and polite, my wings were piping hot, and the food came out fast. Decent prices and I guess after 10 pm the appetizers are half off, so I might go back and try that sometime. The place itself looked clean too. Good experience, I'd go back. read more

Spent an hour and half at the bar and was only served twice... the 2nd drink was served by the manager. I'd understand if it was busy but the servers made it seem like I was an inconvenience for asking for a drink... multiple times. The two guys next to me were refunded part of their check because the service was so poor. read more
