I like hooters food but would give this dump 0 if it was possible. Never even got greeted at the wait station to be seated. Made eye contact with 2 of the staff members and was totally ignored. I have been going here since they opened up. The start was very rocky to say the least. But it seems that lessons have been learned over time and they are stepping up their game now. The wait staff is way better now. They are prompt to get you seated and take your order. The food is wonderful. Great tasting wings with a good selection of brew. I recommend trying the "Stripper Dust" for a dark beer as it is brewed in Abilene by Pappy Slokum Brewery. Lots of TV's to watch your favorite sports on. My last 3 visits have all be very good. Glad to see this place is getting on track with what people expect when they eat out. I will be back soon. read more

Terrible customer service! They tried to seat us at a tall table by the bar, and we asked to be seated at a regular table or booth due to my injured knee and my mother's handicapped arm. They said we would have to wait 10 minutes even though only 1/3 of their restaurant was occupied. Their was a booth open right in front of us. We will never visit them again!! My first time at the Abilene location and last. Food was cold and the waitress had her child at work. Paying more attention to the needs of the child versus doing the job she is getting paid to do. My husband and I decided to try it today. It had always been too busy before but since it was near 2:00 I thought it'd be ok. It wasn't. There were three groups ahead of us standing to be acknowledged at the front. Two groups sitting in the waiting area. Everyone waited patiently and no one came to the front so I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. I was told he couldn't come to the phone and to leave a message for him. Meanwhile one of the sitting group left. I told the woman who was taking my message that now four groups were standing up front to be acknowledged and no one had come. She had excuses about being shorthanded and I told her it still wasn't acceptable and we were leaving. So we did and won't be back. read more

Since I was staying at the hotel across the street I wanted to try this place out but was concerned. On my first attempt to go to the restaurant a couple of months ago when I was in the area, the place was packed and the wait was ~45 minutes so I left. After reading the Yelp reviews I decided it was best to eat elsewhere, but I noticed the parking lot was half full when I drove by and decided to give it a shot. I was seated right away. My server, Hannah, was very attentive and checked on me several times. The manager even stopped by to see how things were. As for the food, the beer was cold and my salad/10 medium wings came out pretty quickly so no complaints here. Sounds like busy nights and overwhelmed staff lead to lots of negative reviews. Worst experience I have had at any restaurant hands down. 4 reasons why to not waste your money: 1) the hostess refused to sit us at a high top table for some reason even though there were at least five open tables. This is after a 30 minute wait. 2) someone lost our nacho app order and that took thirty minutes to get to our table. The chips were stale also. 3) Took over 35 minutes to get our first beer. 4) The wings we ordered took over an hour to get to us and werent even hot. read more

Maybe the service here would be better if the General Manager wasn't creepily staring at the female servers, and the female manager wasn't unnecessarily calling police on her servers that she's yelling at the top of her lungs. We heard the entire disagreement and this manager is a bully and very abusive in dealing with her servers and seemed like she was just trying to get this young lady to leave. I wish I could give this zero stars. The worst visit to an eating establishment I have experienced. After waiting 3 hours we left without getting as much as an appetizer. No food was being brought out of the kitchen. All we were told was that the kitchen was backed up. The table next to ours ordered chips and queso and the manager told the table that they were trying to borrow chips and queso from another restaurant. After waiting for so long with no one checking on our table or letting us know what was going on we tried to get our check and leave but that was too much to ask also. The manager actually told us to walk the check as she was telling others because she was unable to give anyone their tickets to pay the check. One of the managers was sitting down with a group of people when we walked in he looked at us and went about his business took about 10 min until one of the servers noticed us and sat us down. Took another 10 min for our server Makalya to get drink order. About another 15 to get drinks. We ordered 2 simple appetizers and she couldn't get that right. Food was cold and appetizer sampler was half dry when it's supposed to be dipped in sauce. Server had a horrible attitude especially after we had to ask manager on duty for our check. MOD was too busy walking around flirting with all the men at bar. So needless to say if your going solely for the atmosphere this is a great place but if you want decent food and service you are better off somewhere else. read more

First off, the host was a little rude. Didn't say there was a wait and just handed us the buzzer. Then my fiancée went to go look for seats at the bar and I was just looking to see if there was any seats as well (not going far) and he stopped me asking if I even wanted a table still cause he needed that buzzer, as if I wasn't going to give it back. Our first bartender (sat at the bar) didn't really acknowledge us for a while.. even served a couple people before my fiancée and I. After finally receiving our drinks, again, she took a while to come over for our food order. But she had time to stand and laugh and goof around with another bartender. Shift change (without even telling us, just left) and the second bartender was a little better, just not very educated on the alcohol. I even watched her make a drink incorrectly following a recipe & watched the customer make a face and shake her head. I also noticed that the managers were working more than the servers were in the establishment and that the waitresses were standing around gossiping a bit and not really working. Not a lot of smiles either. I gave it a three because my food was good and the girls were at least somewhat nice, but I won't be going back unfortunately. Came in around dinner time with a some what large party, place was not very busy. Ordered drinks and food everything started ok but then....after waiting 40 mins for the food to come out our waitress comes out starts handing food out but then comes to me and tells me the the don't have the type of wings my daughter ordered. After 40 mins and everyone else's food comes out!!! She picks another flavor then she approaches me to tell me that the 6 drums I requested aren't available they ran out!! Guess what??? Another person at the table order all flats and on her plate....drums ‍ Poor server didn't really know what to do seemed new, said the kitchen staff tried finding her to let her know but she couldn't be found. I usually enjoy hooters food but was not impressed with this location. However the server did try to make the situation better by asking the mgr to remove the .60 cent charge for the all drum request and she ended up comping my meal. Spent an hour and half at the bar and was only served twice... the 2nd drink was served by the manager. I'd understand if it was busy but the servers made it seem like I was an inconvenience for asking for a drink... multiple times.
