Service is SLOW! Enjoy seeing your server when you order your food because after that it's hard to get anyone to help you. Waiting for the bill was my favorite part... gave me time to yelp. Food was average. Decided to give Hooters a second chance... won't be back.. read more

Service was terrible. It is obvious these girls were not hired for their customer service abilities. My husband and I both ordered 10 wings each and we both received all flats. When I asked the waitress why she replied "I don't know". After an awkward pause she finally said "would you like me to ask and find out why?" I replied that would be nice thank you! She came back and told me that the kitchen had run out of drums. it would've been nice if they had warned us that we would receive only flats. I would have ordered something else. So I paid $1.10 each for the skimpiest part of the wing. She did ask us if we would like to order something else, but since we had already waited a ridiculously long time and we had a movie to catch we told her that we didn't have the time to wait. So instead of talking to a manager and possibly comping part of our meal she just said OK and skipped off happily! The whole visit was just one incompetent person after another. We won't be back! read more

Wow, probably one of the worst Hooters I've ever been to! My server and other servers had personalities of wet mops. On the napkin, my server wrote her name and the MOD in a very unpersonable way. And the booths were being used as a storage facility. Look at the pics. I can't believe the GM tolerates this. Certainly not living up to Hooters standards. And the hostess was more interested in her cell phone than actually seating customers. She looked like she was on drugs too. I wanted to stay for another drink, but my server made me feel so uncomfortable with her bad attitude I left. If I ever drive through Abilene again, I certainly won't be back. read more

Garbage, that's all I gotta say. I ordered my wings online and they said they would be ready at 9:30... cool. I get there and nobody is at the front to get me a seat. I'm thinking okay that's fine I'll seat myself and I did... they didn't ask me if I was helped till I waved down this girl. She was nice but she never came back after that and I know it wasn't my breath because I brushed before I came. THEN, the manager I guess comes out to my table and says "you made the online order?" I said "yes ma'am". SHE WALKS AWAY, without a word after that!!? Comes back with "my order" and she says "here you go" walks away again. I check my bag and there's wings but my order is wrong and ITS 10:00. Then I walk back over by the kitchen and give her the bag and say "ma'am I think my order is wrong" she says "okay let me see" as if I'm wrong lol. Ask my name then comes out with my correct order! FINALLY. I hate writing bad reviews but damn don't go here if you want food. read more

What an experience that was. We sat down at the table at 6:25 and ordered beers. At 7:05 the beers were given to us and we were able to place our food order. 7:45 rolls around and our waitress comes and apologized that she forgot to bring us our food and asked if we would like to take it to go for free... We said that would be ok but would still like to eat a warm dinner.. The waitress put in a new order and 830 rolls around and still nothing. If it hadn't been for good company I would have been irate. The second order never made it to us and the waitress had the audacity to put it on our bill. We ended up walking out paying nothing and hungry after speaking with the manager. I see Mike B answer lots of these bad reviews. I think it's time for some changes to happen. What do you think Mike? read more

Was looking forward to eating at Hooters. It had been some time since I had eaten at one. I waited some time to be seated. The restaurant was not that busy. The server did her best to seat me. She had to clean the table before I sat down. She said my server would be right with me. I sat for at least 10 minutes while servers walked past my table. No one came, so I walked out. I even acknowledged one of the servers that went past my table several times on the way out. I will be coming back to Abilene on a regular basis. I'm not going back there to eat. read more

A very nice and open location with the perfect amount of air circulation throughout the property. All of the service employees were well put together, and showed all of the attributes that people come to Hooters for, other than the food. The wait time to order and receive the food is lacking, with the wait split being 20/25 in minutes. Good food, cooked well and food was received at a temperature that allowed for eating without burning my mouth. For an appetizer, burger, and tea for one person, out the door $23, plus tip, which is kind of high, and for that reason I'll come back to this location on a quarterly basis, due to the high cost for one person read more

The waitstaff could have been much nicer and the bartender was slower than molasses. Food was average but I was not impressed how we were treated during the daytime with our squad. Group was treated like royalty at night but overall it was a below average Hooter's experience. Wings were not sauces properly and coated throughout. I'm guessing they weren't tossed but a ladle of sauce was slathered on top without concern of sauce the crispy skin balance that the average Hooters has perfected. Fries were on point for round 1&2 but round three was a little cold. There seemed to be Hooter's senior management present and they did not seem to pick up on the slow bartenders and grumpy attitude of our group. Two of the IPAs that I requested were kicked for two days and they ran out of the tequila the group wanted and only had Patron on ice. Beverage management system may still be coming up to speed. Oh well.... I'm not a frequent Hooters customer and I'm sure others love this spot. read more

Disorganized unfriendly staff, waited to be seated for 10 minutes before we decided to seat ourself at the bar. No one greeted us at the door, as no hoists to greet us at the front door. We sat at the bar, the bartender was straight forward and only spoke to us when asking if we wanted food or drink. She never introduced herself. The bar wasn't the cleanest I've seen, and the only time the bartender was happy and pleasant to us was when she was saying good bye as we were leaving than when we joined the bar. Lastly the food, the fries were over cooked hard and cold. This truly wasn't a great experience and I can't see why I would go back to be ignored and eat hard fries. This is a local management issue, and by other reviews hasn't been address. Poor customer service, terrible food, and not the cleanest bar. It's easy for a manger to say sorry about your experience. However, Hooters was a fun and good food experience. read more

Well... this review isn't about the food. We ordered 45 minutes ago, this place isn't packed or anything and we still haven't gotten our 15 wings and fries.. Ok update. It took an hour to get our wings which were luke warm even though our waitress said they were "getting them on the plate". Definitely not worth the hour long wait for wings and the service was not great either. Our waitress was not friendly, attentive and didn't once communicate what the problem was with our food taking an hour. Then we get our check and we were charged $1 for freaking blue cheese..... like that's petty ok, but after all of that you're going to charge me for a tiny thin of blue cheese? which I would like to point out that one tiny thing of ranch or blue cheese is NOT enough for 15 wings... just sayen! Will not be going back! read more

I came to Hooters because I figured this location would be better than the other ones because it's new and perhaps the quality of my experience would be higher. Boy, was I wrong. First, let me talk about the food. To drink I started out with a strawberry lemonade and after minutes of waiting, I finally got it. Disappointed. The lemonade was watered down. No issue, after 10 minutes of arriving, I finally got my drink. She told me that the batch they had was what was left over from lunch. Anyways.. For my meal, I got the All-You-Can-Eat Wings because I was hungry and it was a good price (This deal is only available on Wednesdays too, so why not!). I asked the server for normal fries and got curly ones instead, no worries. Well, the curly fries weren't even fresh. They were luke warm at best. I was on my 8th out of the 10 wings I got and asked the waitress to go ahead and get me a new batch of wings because I am almost done. She hesitated at first and told me that technically I have to finish all of the 10 wings before I can get more, but she would go ahead and get it going for me anyways. I think that's silly, but no worries I'll get my wings soon enough. Wrong - I got my next order of wings roughly 15 minutes later. This was the most disappointing part of my visit because if a customer is going to order the All-You-Can-Eat wings, they should not have to wait long for the next batch of wings. I told the manager about the situation and she helped me out with a discount. I'm only rating them a 2 instead of a 1 because the wings and sauces were pretty good. I also liked the laidback ambiance here. However, the bad service and disorganization is was left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be back again. read more

Disaster from start to finish... (1)not enough room to stand while waiting 30 minutes for a table(2pm on a Saturday). (2)no device to notify when table is ready, so you're huddled around the door/hostess booth. (3) bartenders couldn't be bothered to take an order (4)not once offered refills (5) ordered a dozen oysters and got 1/2, when asked for the other 1/2 we got 5 of the 6 oysters (6) only served 3 of the 4 meals ordered (7) asked for items for the table 5 times before it was brought to us...each time met with "Oh yeah sure! No problem!" Overall I went on my way still hungry and full of regret read more

I'm staying at a hotel across the street. I ordered takeout online, it said 22 min. It was more like 50. Then when I got back to my room and opened my wife's chicken tenders I see this terrible four tiny tenders for $10. Nothing at all like the pic on the website (which had 6). And they had to be cold right. This was my first visit to a hooters in 20 years, and my last. And to add insult to injury the phone number they have listed isn't even theirs, so you can't call and complain. I wish I'd have driven the extra half mile to wingstop... read more

This place is a joke the summer breeze was nice I was feeling parched so I came in to get a drink and I ordered 15 mins later nothing all the employees were sitting in the corner playing hacky sack so if you want a drink real quick don't come here. I would think the covid 19 fiasco would make employees want to earn a tip considering our table was 4 out of the 6 people here. I was ultimately disappointed in my experience read more

Either this place is extremely understaffed or just has bad service in general. Stopped here and had to wait forever to get seated. After getting seated, nobody came to wait on us for over 20 mins. This is the worst Hooters I have ever been to. I went 5 nights and out of those nights one was good. Service is terrible. Bartender and waitresses are not friendly. They would rather hang out with their friends while on shift than do their jobs. With one exception, Alexys was fantastic. read more

Went and had a beer at 10:45. Bartender only came by once with 1:15 until closing time. Figured I'd give them one more chance. Order a to go burger and cheesecake. Somehow it takes 35 minutes to get the order together. Got there 15 minutes ahead of when my order was schedule to be ready. They weren't bust and it took at least 5 minutes for a hostess to even ask if I needed help. Once they asked about the take out order it came quickly. 3 min walk back to my hotel. Burger was lukewarm at best. Fries were cold. Burger was prepared incorrectly and no offer of condiments to go with my order was offered, so no ketchup for the fries and no Mayo on the burger that was ordered with it on it. I'd pass on this location. 2 strikes in less than 24 hours...not a good place for service. read more

First off, the food was awesome. The fried jalapeños came out hot and fresh, as well as our wings. We also splurged in dessert, which was spectacular as well. However, our Hooters girl was not of the greatest service. She seemed so stressed and had so many tables to worry about that we didn't get the refills or attention we felt like we should have got from someone working for tips. She also didn't seem to have the greatest attitude; she wasn't friendly or bubbly. Overall, we were there for about 2 hours and that was because we waited for 45 minutes. The manager told us they had a few girls not show up for their shift, so they were very short-staffed. For a new and hip restaurant in Abilene, I was not impressed with the overall operation of the facility. The food was awesome, but the service was sub-par. read more

There is NO reason for a restaurant to keep it so dang COLD that you can't enjoy even being in there much less the fact that your food can't possibly stay warm for you to eat it before it gets cold too!! Decided to give it a try after some friends raved about it. We went at lunch time but there was no one there. Food took forever to come out. When it did come out the food was warm at best, not hot. One of kids food came out 5-10 mins after everyone else's and the order was messed up/missing things. Beer wasn't cold and we were told when we got the ticket that they were having problems with the beer lines. Would rather go to the competition before trying this place again read more

Had a hankering for wings and thought I'd try this stop in for lunch. Have been to many Hooters locations around the country and most are pretty dependable for their signature dish.. wings. I was a little hesitant when I pulled into the parking lot as it appeared they were closed. I admit I was early (11:35am) but I was the only vehicle in the parking lot. Well, they were open and I was quickly greeted at the front and chose to sit at the bar. I was the first customer for the day. In short time, I was approached by the bartender for my drink order and given the time to make a decision on my food. I ordered 10 wings and some 'tater tots and began my wait. During this time I decided to check out reviews of this place as it just seemed slow (few customers). After reading some of the reviews, I began to wonder if I had made a mistake and started really paying attention to attitudes, service, and food quality. My food arrived in about 15 minutes and was served with a smile and a "do you have everything you need"? I felt compelled to post a review due to some of the poor ones. My food was great. Actually really good. I had the Spicy Garlic wings. I was asked 4-5 times if everything was good or ok and it was done with a smile. The bar was very clean and my place at the bar was promptly cleared and cleaned once I had eaten. I would go back to this location no doubt. I may be dissatisfied next visit but this visit I was not. a nice dining experience. read more

Hooters is a joke because of management. Andy the manager cut us off after 4 tall beers. My husband and I LOVE Hooters and we've attempted to eat here 3 times, never again. First time was not long after they opened, we show up middle of the day they are closed, we heard there was no longer any staff not sure if that is true. Second time, we go to watch a football game. Server was nice to me, until my husband joined us and was in uniform. After that we were basically ignored by our server, we waited 45 min for drink refills from a different server that I hunted down with our cups in hand because I was about to do it myself. While in the ladies room, I hear our server on the phone complaining about having to service a motherf***ing a-hole military guy(he was the only one in uniform and a assure you he had not been an a-hole to her, he even still tipped her 20%), she also did not wash her hands. Food took way to long for 3 people and a not even half full restaurant that is suppose to be a sports bar. Finally last night I placed an order online gave me a 45 min pick up time ok normal. Get to the restaurant, there are 3 people waiting at the hostess stand. We all stood there for 10 min during which I made eye contact with every single server (4) there and every one was ignored. One server looked like she was about to cry, one was to trying to avoid eye contact, one ran to the back never to be seen again, and the last was to busy rubbing herself on a gentleman at her table. Crying server finally comes to the hostess stand asked if I've been helped and how she can help. She goes to check on my order, she never came back. Avoidance server finally comes to the hostess stand and asked if we've been helped(one guy has already left), the couple in front of me was told they couldn't even sit down yet(this place was quite empty for a Friday night) and then she went to check on my order which is now 20 min past due. She comes back and tells me its going to be another 30 minutes and has an attitude. I told her to forget it as its already almost 9pm. Manager finally comes out to speak with everyone waiting as more and more people are coming in the door. I told her it should not take this long for food(i worked in the service industry for years, hour long ticket times unacceptable), she said they had 3 people in the kitchen and then tries to blame me for ordering food on a Friday night. So I started my tirad about the lack of communication and customer service during this I mentioned every employee there avoiding helping any one waiting even though rubbing server came to the hostess stand multiple times to grab silverware. Avoidance server stops talking to a guest to butt in when I said something about her attitude and of course she had an attitude about it. I left without my food thankfully I didn't already pay for it. If you can't serve a "sports bar" that is not even half full, you obviously have staff scheduling and staffing problems. The whole staff at the very least needs retraining, customer service training and attitude adjustments. While I was speaking with the manager, my friend ordered food from BWW down the street, that was ready in 10 minutes and they were packed. I will still go to Hooters locations but not this one. read more

Not sure what happened with these other reviews but we had great service and great food. Prices are good for the portion sizes. Flavors are on point. Out waitress was awesome. Thank You Briana.
