Was looking forward to eating at Hooters. It had been some time since I had eaten at one. I waited some time to be seated. The restaurant was not that busy. The server did her best to seat me. She had to clean the table before I sat down. She said my server would be right with me. I sat for at least 10 minutes while servers walked past my table. No one came, so I walked out. I even acknowledged one of the servers that went past my table several times on the way out. I will be coming back to Abilene on a regular basis. I'm not going back there to eat. read more

Garbage, that's all I gotta say. I ordered my wings online and they said they would be ready at 9:30... cool. I get there and nobody is at the front to get me a seat. A very nice and open location with the perfect amount of air circulation throughout the property. All of the service employees were well put together, and showed all of the attributes that people come to Hooters for, other than the food. The wait time to order and receive the food is lacking, with the wait split being 20/25 in minutes. Good food, cooked well and food was received at a temperature that allowed for eating without burning my mouth. For an appetizer, burger, and tea for one person, out the door $23, plus tip, which is kind of high, and for that reason I'll come back to this location on a quarterly basis, due to the high cost for one person read more

The waitstaff could have been much nicer and the bartender was slower than molasses. Food was average but I was not impressed how we were treated during the daytime with our squad. Group was treated like royalty at night but overall it was a below average Hooter's experience. Wings were not sauces properly and coated throughout. I'm guessing they weren't tossed but a ladle of sauce was slathered on top without concern of sauce the crispy skin balance that the average Hooters has perfected. Fries were on point for round 1&2 but round three was a little cold. There seemed to be Hooter's senior management present and they did not seem to pick up on the slow bartenders and grumpy attitude of our group. Two of the IPAs that I requested were kicked for two days and they ran out of the tequila the group wanted and only had Patron on ice. Beverage management system may still be coming up to speed. Oh well.... I'm not a frequent Hooters customer and I'm sure others love this spot. read more

Disorganized unfriendly staff, waited to be seated for 10 minutes before we decided to seat ourself at the bar. No one greeted us at the door, as no hoists to greet us at the front door. We sat at the bar, the bartender was straight forward and only spoke to us when asking if we wanted food or drink. She never introduced herself. The bar wasn't the cleanest I've seen, and the only time the bartender was happy and pleasant to us was when she was saying good bye as we were leaving than when we joined the bar. Lastly the food, the fries were over cooked hard and cold. This truly wasn't a great experience and I can't see why I would go back to be ignored and eat hard fries. This is a local management issue, and by other reviews hasn't been address. Poor customer service, terrible food, and not the cleanest bar. It's easy for a manger to say sorry about your experience. It took an hour to get our wings which were luke warm even though our waitress said they were "getting them on the plate". I came to Hooters because I figured this location would be better than the other ones because it's new and perhaps the quality of my experience would be higher. Boy, was I wrong. First, let me talk about the food. To drink I started out with a strawberry lemonade and after minutes of waiting, I finally got it. Disappointed. The lemonade was watered down. No issue, after 10 minutes of arriving, I finally got my drink. She told me that the batch they had was what was left over from lunch. Anyways.. For my meal, I got the All-You-Can-Eat Wings because I was hungry and it was a good price (This deal is only available on Wednesdays too, so why not!). I asked the server for normal fries and got curly ones instead, no worries. Well, the curly fries weren't even fresh. They were luke warm at best. I was on my 8th out of the 10 wings I got and asked the waitress to go ahead and get me a new batch of wings because I am almost done. She hesitated at first and told me that technically I have to finish all of the 10 wings before I can get more, but she would go ahead and get it going for me anyways. I think that's silly, but no worries I'll get my wings soon enough. Wrong - I got my next order of wings roughly 15 minutes later. This was the most disappointing part of my visit because if a customer is going to order the All-You-Can-Eat wings, they should not have to wait long for the next batch of wings. I told the manager about the situation and she helped me out with a discount. I'm only rating them a 2 instead of a 1 because the wings and sauces were pretty good. Went and had a beer at 10:45. Bartender only came by once with 1:15 until closing time. Figured I'd give them one more chance. Order a to go burger and cheesecake. Somehow it takes 35 minutes to get the order together. Got there 15 minutes ahead of when my order was schedule to be ready. They weren't bust and it took at least 5 minutes for a hostess to even ask if I needed help. Once they asked about the take out order it came quickly. 3 min walk back to my hotel. Burger was lukewarm at best. Fries were cold. Burger was prepared incorrectly and no offer of condiments to go with my order was offered, so no ketchup for the fries and no Mayo on the burger that was ordered with it on it. First off, the food was awesome. The fried jalapeños came out hot and fresh, as well as our wings. We also splurged in dessert, which was spectacular as well. However, our Hooters girl was not of the greatest service. She seemed so stressed and had so many tables to worry about that we didn't get the refills or attention we felt like we should have got from someone working for tips. She also didn't seem to have the greatest attitude; she wasn't friendly or bubbly. Overall, we were there for about 2 hours and that was because we waited for 45 minutes. The manager told us they had a few girls not show up for their shift, so they were very short-staffed. Had a hankering for wings and thought I'd try this stop in for lunch. Have been to many Hooters locations around the country and most are pretty dependable for their signature dish.. wings. I was a little hesitant when I pulled into the parking lot as it appeared they were closed. I admit I was early (11:35am) but I was the only vehicle in the parking lot. Well, they were open and I was quickly greeted at the front and chose to sit at the bar. I was the first customer for the day. In short time, I was approached by the bartender for my drink order and given the time to make a decision on my food. I ordered 10 wings and some 'tater tots and began my wait. During this time I decided to check out reviews of this place as it just seemed slow (few customers). After reading some of the reviews, I began to wonder if I had made a mistake and started really paying attention to attitudes, service, and food quality. My food arrived in about 15 minutes and was served with a smile and a "do you have everything you need"? I felt compelled to post a review due to some of the poor ones. My food was great. Actually really good. I had the Spicy Garlic wings. I was asked 4-5 times if everything was good or ok and it was done with a smile. The bar was very clean and my place at the bar was promptly cleared and cleaned once I had eaten. I would go back to this location no doubt. Our waitress said that we were cut off because of management because we had 4 tall beers in a five hour period. We were not being loud or disturbing anyone. I will not be going back there again. My husband and I LOVE Hooters and we've attempted to eat here 3 times, never again. First time was not long after they opened, we show up middle of the day they are closed, we heard there was no longer any staff not sure if that is true. Second time, we go to watch a football game. Get to the restaurant, there are 3 people waiting at the hostess stand. We all stood there for 10 min during which I made eye contact with every single server (4) there and every one was ignored. One server looked like she was about to cry, one was to trying to avoid eye contact, one ran to the back never to be seen again, and the last was to busy rubbing herself on a gentleman at her table. Crying server finally comes to the hostess stand asked if I've been helped and how she can help. She goes to check on my order, she never came back. Avoidance server finally comes to the hostess stand and asked if we've been helped(one guy has already left), the couple in front of me was told they couldn't even sit down yet(this place was quite empty for a Friday night) and then she went to check on my order which is now 20 min past due. She comes back and tells me its going to be another 30 minutes and has an attitude. I told her to forget it as its already almost 9pm. Manager finally comes out to speak with everyone waiting as more and more people are coming in the door. I told her it should not take this long for food(i worked in the service industry for years, hour long ticket times unacceptable), she said they had 3 people in the kitchen and then tries to blame me for ordering food on a Friday night. So I started my tirad about the lack of communication and customer service during this I mentioned every employee there avoiding helping any one waiting even though rubbing server came to the hostess stand multiple times to grab silverware. Avoidance server stops talking to a guest to butt in when I said something about her attitude and of course she had an attitude about it. I left without my food thankfully I didn't already pay for it. If you can't serve a "sports bar" that is not even half full, you obviously have staff scheduling and staffing problems. The whole staff at the very least needs retraining, customer service training and attitude adjustments. While I was speaking with the manager, my friend ordered food from BWW down the street, that was ready in 10 minutes and they were packed. Well first of all when taking our order our waiter was completely rude. Then after that when we finally get our food my sisters and brother in laws wings were like ice cold, and then when we told our waitress the manager came over and asked us what she could do to make this better, and we were like yeah hot wings. Then when I got my nachos I asked for no jalapeños and there were little jalapeños in my pico which I've never heard of jalapeños in pico and she didn't say anything to me about it. We came at 11:45pm on a Friday night. The lady at the front said, "we close at 12, sorry." So we were basically kicked out. Funny part is, that on the door it says they close at 1am.
