Our waitress was amazing. The food was equally amazing. I got the roasted chicken with parm mashed potatoes. The presentation was artistic and the flavor was superb. My wife ordered the fish tacos, blackened, the fish with salmon. It came with a side of flash fried cauliflower drizzled with aïoli sauce. The ambience was nice. The decor was nice. The restaurant was nice. The bathrooms were clean and nice. No paper napkins, here you are given cloth napkins. The restaurant had a lot of windows overlooking a pond with water fountains. When you're through eating, you can walk around the pond on a nice cement path lined with trees. This is a nice restaurant a little upscale, dress is nicer.

Love this place. Especially in Abilene. Food: Everything was amazing. You can see pictures. The sauce on the roasted chicken was fire! Service: Evette was the bomb. I'll definitely request her when we come back. She's the one who recommended our appetizer and dinners! She was super sweet. Ambiance: This place is insane for Abilene lol. It feels like a different country. Be back very soon!

Cork & Pig is by far one of the best restaurants in Abilene! Although, food quality has gone down recently. Calamari was served with more fried onion than calamari. Truffle fries came out cold. Pizza came without the fresh basil. Another visit, the pizza oven wasn't working! A few weird experiences that have been becoming consistent. Service is always good though! Atmosphere & location are both perfect! Hoping things improve back in the kitchen again!

Without a doubt one of our favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is so relaxing with mood lighting for dinner, and plenty of space to enjoy our food. We are always very nicely greeted at the door and sit down to dine very quickly. The service is very nice and speedy, we've had multiple waiters but they have all excelled finely. The food is always so delicious, it makes me want to try something new every time and they never disappoint! Can't wait to be back!

I really wanted to like this place but I was disappointed with my meal. This place is very nice inside and the service is great! I had the pork ribs and unfortunately the flavor was there but It was very dry and kinda burnt on top so I didn't enjoy It but the mashed potatoes were really good .

What a little gem in Abilene, Texas everything we had on the menu was pretty delicious and there was definitely more I wanted to try unfortunately our server sucked and must've been having a bad day because she didn't know up and didn't tell us about the specials and was pretty much preoccupied the entire time, but the food was a shining star so next time we'll just order to go or sit at the bar

Wow I was pleasantly surprised!! If you are in the Abilene area this place is definitely one not to miss ! I'm so happy something of this scale has put some roots here ,.. From the atmosphere to the plates ! To the taste of the food or to the beautiful open kitchen n bar Don't be turned off from some of these low stars (which I don't even understand why or if we ate at the same place ) Coming from Austin to visit family this now is sure to be new spot for us to come to ,... -The kitchen : stunning ! Love to see an open concept with chefs doing their thing n the passion put into every dish -The atmosphere: casual with a splash of class I feel u can easily make it a date night spot or enjoy being there with a causal vibe -Prices : reasonable for the amount of food , quality and presentation - food; I don't think there was a dish on the table someone didn't like ,.. chef has a seasoned hand n attention to detail -Cleanliness ; detailed clean and the bathrooms well kept with beautiful napkins for hand w/ a personalized candle -Parking: its a multipurpose building so parking I will say is difficult depending on time but there is a fair amount of it -Customer service calling : friendly n great with reservations n lenient with text to confirm. - customer service when dining nothing much to say,... didn't go above n beyond no introduction Meh In all we'll be back n hopefully this wasn't beginners luck ina restaurant

Nice looking place. Food quality was acceptable if a little over-priced. Service was extremely slow the night we visited.

Unfortunately, what followed felt less like a return to a favorite and more like a reminder of how far a once-reliable experience can drift. The dining room was modestly busy primarily four-top tables already filled yet the pace at the entrance suggested a restaurant operating beyond its rhythm. I waited to be seated while the staff moved with the weary urgency of a team stretched thin. When I was finally shown to my table, the tone was set: my server appeared courteous, but understandably worn, as though the evening had already asked too much. The meal itself mirrored the atmosphere. The shrimp appetizer arrived first -- competent, but uninspired. Perfectly acceptable, yet lacking the brightness or seasoning that might make it memorable. It did its job, but no more. The chicken sandwich followed, and here the disappointment settled in. It was serviceable, but noticeably removed from the quality and character I remembered. The texture, the flavor, the overall execution all felt diminished, as if the recipe remained but the care had quietly left the kitchen. By the end of the visit, the experience began to explain the lower online reviews. Nothing was outright poor, yet nothing rose above ordinary. And for a brand that once stood out, ordinary feels like a missed opportunity. There is clearly a strong foundation here, one built over years and loyal customers who remember when the food and service carried more energy and consistency. Perhaps the path forward isn't reinvention, but a return. A return to the standards, the recipes, and the attention that made this location worth the visit in the first place. But then again, what do I know? I'm just someone who's been coming back since the Florida days, hoping to taste what made it special.

How does any serious restaurant run out of a key product? That's an issue of poor management. Secondly, it took about twelve minutes for me to finally get a menu from Ambria. Just ridiculously bad service. The food finally arrived and it was good. One other thing- someone had a dog with them in the restaurant that barked and barked and barked. I love dogs but this was just silly. I will never return to this unit.

Casual. We sat at the bar and our bartender was amazing! He was funny and attentive despite being very busy! Service: The restaurant was so busy with diners even at 8:30 PM on a Saturday evening. I did not expect it to be this busy in my head. My husband and I sat at the bar since that was open seating and there were no sit down tables available inside or on the patio. The restaurant will add you to the waitlist if you'd like! Food: My husband and I shared the deviled eggs appetizer, and "the burger" with grilled jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. The deviled wggs (satan's huevos) were good, and spicy because we chose the "hellfire" option. The burger was huge! I'm glad my husband I split it because there was no way I'd finish that burger on my own! We both left content and not stuffed.

We looked at the menu online prior to coming and knew that we both wanted to try the cheese steak, so this was a bit of a bummer. They waitress who was very attentive told us that we can't order from the full menu for another 30 minutes so we decided to wait rather than leave. Listen, I get it the idea of having a different menu for brunch, but why not post it on your website and state the specific times for each menu? Also, what difference does 30 minutes make? They couldn't fire up the grill 30 minutes early? It wasn't very busy. Anyways, now for the good part: When we were finally allowed to order our sandwiches they were absolutely amazing. The steak was high quality and the gooey cheese had a ton of flavor. What wasn't amazing however was the bill. $20 for a sandwich and a small portion of fries in Abilene is absolute insanity. What's even crazier is we were charged extra for a side of ranch! I understand you get what you pay for, and there's no arguing the quality of the sandwich was top notch, but at the end of the day it's still just a sandwich. If you're good with dropping nearly $60 (including tip) on lunch, then this is your spot. For me, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Neither one of them really knows anything really about what is uniquely available to eat in Abilene. My wife and I were on our way to the hospital after picking up their kid from daycare when we were asked to pick up some dinner. We had offered to get them anything in town to eat while at the hospital. Given how they were new to town, their regular from Dominoes was requested. It was at this point I suggested Vagabond, telling the couple how for years it's been the best. The wife saw the menu and was impressed, eager to try it out. (We ordered 1 Lucia, 1 Carnivore, 2 Crawfish Hand Pies) The order was placed online, right as we left our driveway, I received a text confirming the order, which was followed up 15-20mins later by another one stating it was ready for pickup. It felt fast. As I walked in, I saw the traditional sights: the owner at the front welcoming everyone in, a filled up room with various parties enjoy their food and conversations, a staff working hard and yet ready to serve. I was told by the owner to go up to the bar where my order was waiting for me. I was in and out so quickly that I could feel the warm air coming off the pizza as I took it outside to my car. My one regret was not telling the owner on my way out how this meal would be the first meal for a mom who just gave birth. When I got to the hospital, the food was still warm. When both the mother and father had their first bite of the Lucia, they both had that 'wow' reaction to how amazing the taste was. Everything ordered honestly received a 'wow.' It was perfect. I have had Vagabond ever since they were out of a food trailer. Since then, it has been the place I always bring people to, particularly if they are visiting from out of town. It was the place where my wife and I brought our kid for his first restaurant meal. The consistent experience of it all is simply the best. I don't review places often, but last night was special. Never a bad thing to say thank you to a group of people who unknowingly wowed a father and mother in a hospital room. Thank you.
