We had breakfast for the first time at Huddle House in Tye at about 8:30 a.m. Parking lot was quite full but when we walked in there was plenty of seating. Anna was our waitress/server and she greeted us quickly with menus and took our drink orders. Back a few moments later and took our orders. I ordered scrambled eggs; I asked for them to be very cooked/not runny, hash browns and white toast dry with some jelly on the side. My husband ordered pancakes. She returned with our orders and everything was exactly as I ordered - I was pleasantly surprised. The eggs were perfect (seems like a small victory but when you are a little picky about your eggs ... it's a huge deal to me!) John's pancakes were quite large and filling so he was a happy man! Anna was very sweet and attentive to our needs ... checked on us regarding how the food was tasting to us, drink refills, did we need anything else. Plus the place had a great vibe ... almost the feeling of a small town, welcoming diner. You could tell there were many regulars as they came through the door, several were greeted by name. We had an appetizer that had three of their menu items. This was my first visit so I wanted to taste multiple foods they serve. I had breakfast while my husband had lunch and it was all very tasty and well cooked. They even asked if I wanted my hash browns crispy. I had the MVP breakfast where you have choices for each breakfast item you would like. The food was very good and their waffles are so fluffy. The restaurant was clean , the waitstaff was very kind. We were greeted by multiple employees upon arriving and leaving. It was a nice family oriented atmosphere. I will definitely be a repeat customer read more

Very disappointed, total clown show. They got my order wrong twice in a row. And the portions were so small I left hungry went home and cooked my own breakfast..$17 for two eggs, one biscuit and greasy hashbrowns. read more

While Huddle House isn't your hometown cafe or diner, they do serve a pretty dang good breakfast. The menu is pretty big, ranging from cheap to eat all the way to more than I want to pay for breakfast! My favorite is the MVP, which is a little of everything. It's always more than I can eat. The wait staff does a great job of keeping your coffee cup full. I've never tried lunch or supper, but there is a lot to pick from on the menu. Next time your to lazy to fix breakfast, head for Huddle House, like me! read more

We had a long wait, the food was alright but the service was amazing shout out to Pam.

Esma gets all the stars. All of them. What a great server. So pleasant and accommodating. One mistake was made in that one person wanted scrambled eggs and she rang up over easy. But that person ate them anyways. The food is pretty good and priced reasonably. Coffee stays full. We left full. Everything was great. Thanks Esma!!! read more

Dropped in this huddle house on our way home from a weekend getaway. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. It's a seat yourself spot that had plenty of room for small or large gatherings. Our waiter was great. She was kind and quick with our order. Everything was delicious as pictured. The only flaw here would be the price you pay for the food. I'm not bashing HH in any way shape or form but as an example: At I-hop you get much more food for less. I basically ordered the same plate I would at a I-hop which doesn't come with toast and I still ended up paying more. Not a deal breaker but just pointy out the obvious. I would come back here again and to my understanding they are in the process of opening one up in our home town. I would recommend coming here and trying out the pancakes. They have a variety and all look delicious. I will update my review once we get to eat at our new location in Odessa. A+ to the staff here! read more

Good food with an extensive menu at reasonable prices. I had the fried chicken salad (pictured below). The chicken was a bit dry but had good flavor. Typical for a truck stop diner. Breakfast 24 hrs, good service, food tasted good, looked clean, just typical wear for an older place heavily used by working folks. Ample parking. They have a Cat scale here so after you eat you can go scale to make sure the DOT won't nab you for being overweight. Last time I was here I enjoyed watching military aircraft flying in and out to land somewhere toward the back. Awesome. read more

The service is usually REALLY good but last night a young blonde girl waited on us! She was very short and looked like she was in a horrible mood! She never brought my coffee to me, I had to ask another waitress for my coffee. She never made sure we had refills. Another guy took his tea glass to the check out counter and asked if he could have some more! That's RIDICULOUS! If she expects a better tip then take care of your customers and leave your drama AWAY FROM WORK!!!! read more

This place sucked. It took 45 minutes to get our food and there were only five other customers in the place. My son in law ordered the triple huddle burger and it was the size of a mcdouble at McDonald's. The waffle I ordered was cold and soggy. We had eaten at a different huddle house in a different state it was excellent. We will never eat at this branch again. read more

We were Traveling on i20 and my husband wanted breakfast but it was after 12:00. I read the yelp reviews for IHOP and Denny's and the reviews were so bad I didn't want to eat at either of them. After receiving a $10 gift card and some apologies for a bad visit at another HH I tried this one locally. The food was very good. I had Ranch Platter breakfast with Chicken fried steak, biscuit and gravy, hash browns and an extra biscuit. Everything was freshly cooked and well prepared. It was delicious and more than I should have eaten. My waitress Emma provided very good service. She was friendly and attentive and was happy and pleasant. Wearing a "Don't trust a skinny cook" T Shirt which we joked about. I asked her if that went for waitresses also? I would go back to this restaurant. Good job of damage control HH! Just had our first and last stop at Huddle House. Had planned on eating at Denny's just down the interstate but it was being remodeled and there's not a lot to choose from at 9pm. Food was mediocre but the icing on the cake was the total lack of concern by the staff when I showed them the bug in my water glass. I might as well have said there was an ice cube in my ice water because I was totally ignored. There was no "I'm sorry let me replace it"; no "let me adjust your bill"; just nothing but here's your bill - and that was only because we had had to ask if our waitress had left because she just vanished as soon as we got our food. Do not intend on stopping here or at any Huddle House again. Gave it 1 star just make sure they knew I didn't accidentally not rate them. Should have checked on Yelp first and just skipped them completely. read more

I'm very thankful that Huddle House is so very close to Dyess AFB. I've been stationed there for the past 5 years and I love having a diner to relax at during my lunch break. With military life being quite stressful, it's great to have a getaway each day during my week. read more
