I have to say, I am so happy with my decision and my savings even slightly exceeded what my projected savings had. When I began shopping for solar I was pretty new to the concept and really needed to work with a company who was willing to educate me and walk me through the entire process. I contacted three companies and received consults/quotes from each of them. I worked directly with the owner of Sunwave, Jose Alvarez. He was knowledgeable, professional and detail-oriented and he clearly enjoys what he does. That was a huge determining factor for me in making my purchasing decision. I also found his price to be very competitive in comparison to the other estimates I received. I am very happy with my decision to give this locally-owned business my support. I would highly recommend considering them for your solar project.

We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. All in all, if you need a new roof or solar system or home battery, or all of the above, call Volt. They are a competent and professional group of local people who are really f**king good at what they do.

Though it was a simple fix that i should have figured out on my own, after a number of calls to other solar companies, Tim responded quickly and made the process much better and more affordable. I realize that solar companies are in the business of selling panels and batteries to make a greater income, so coming out for a minor fix is even more appreciated. I did not realize Magic Sun sacrificed the quality of my pool solar to sell me more electric solar... not cool. The pool solar is totally useless, does not produce any heat, when I asked for a review I was told I would need to cut down my (4) Birch trees (very delicate branches) in order for pool solar to work. This was not suggested or shared when installing the solar, perhaps they knew that would be a hard no. I will need to have new pool solar installed and repair my new roof. I am floored that Magic Sun could not manage to provide good pool solar and add enough electric solar to satisfy their profit. 1 star is being generous.

That SunFun organization REFUSED to transfer the solar to the new homeowner, and eventually stopped taking or acknowledging our calls. It wasn't until we had to threaten the new homeowner with a lawsuit that SunFun finally transferred ownership. Due to this, we could not trust any of these solar companies...that is, until Kevin Bedard came to our home, and explained everything in great detail to my husband and I. He took the time to hear about our concerns, and he showed us how he truly cared. That same week, we spoke to two other families who shared their positive experiences about Ambrose Solar that made us feel that we would be in great hands. Any home renovation project has bumps, and this one had its fair share: after initial install they monitor the systems production remotely to see if it's doing what it's supposed to/expected to, and my system was initially under-performing. They caught it and sent out a team to problem solve it, which took a couple tries, but they didn't drag their feet, they kept on it and kept at it and got it resolved. It was no fault of theirs, just a technology glitch. Core fear was that they would give up after a couple failures and leave me following up with them to get it done, but I never had to worry about that. I also did not end up liking where they placed the control box- it was something that was going to make future maintenance of my house trim problematic down the line. They willingly moved it up a few inches for me (and my only complaint was the team that did that didn't patch the original hole as efficiently as they should have. If I had understood the box placement better on the first pass that would never have happened, so this is a bit of a complaint of my own making.) Jon Landsman, who sold me the system, stayed with us the whole time tracking the project, checking in, and following through on every detail, every question, every concern. He never made me feel like the demanding diva that I am, was always prompt and gracious! The bottom line is that start to finish, even with a few bumps in the road, I have zero question that this is a company that legitimately cares about doing what is right. The culture of deeply valuing customer service that they have built is unmatched by many businesses these days. I am SO pleased, and SO impressed, and I can promise that you will be too!

I selected Spartan because they went the extra mile. I had outdated 16" skylights and Spartan contacted the skylight company and set up special replacements. They also were on time for meetings, had great communications about the process and did what they promised without trying to upsell me. They used quality product and did a super job with repairs around my chimney. To top it off, they were in and out in 3 days and cleaned up every day. Their pricing was the best of the three contractors we considered, and they were also the only company willing to set up a non-export system so we could preserve our NEM 2.0 status and still get permission to operate from PG&E. That was a huge advantage for us, since other contractors were pushing us toward NEM 3.0. Their sales team was patient, helpful, and not pushy at all. They walked us through our options clearly, were honest about scheduling constraints, and still found a way to get us in on a pretty good timeline. They also came up with creative solutions when other issues popped up, which we really appreciated. We're very happy so far with our 14 additional panels and Tesla Powerwall 3. I have nothing but great things to say about HookedOnSolar and specifically for Justin Orban and the installation crew (Truck #9). From a referral, I contacted Justin for an initial quote and what struck out as different from all other vendors was that instead of just sending over an number, he was particular about meeting the decision makers (me and my wife) together to understand our need and to go over the entire proposal. We met him the next day - where he spent almost 2 hours working with us - going over the company, his background and how HookedOnSolar could serve our needs. He was able to understand our requirements and key factors and worked out a price that was agreeable to us. Even after signing the initial contract, I had so many questions and doubts and he made it a point to respond to each and every one of them within a few hours. Throughout the process, he ensured that we were informed and every query of ours was answered promptly and to our satisfaction. The entire project was done earlier than the original projected timelines and even when HookedOnSolar had to postpone the installation by a few days (personnel availability at the last minute), they ensured that city inspection was done the very next day after the installation to ensure that that overall project did not get delayed - this is what I call great customer service and doing whatever it takes to keep the customer happy. Even after several weeks of our successful and seamless installation, Justin always takes the time and is prompt in responding to all our queries - ranging from referral questions to overall Solar system performance. And he always end the call with - I am and will remain your single point of contact for any question or any issues and will take care of you. It was this great service because of which I ended up referring HookedOnSolar (and the main reason being Justin Orban) to two our friends who experienced the same excellent service and ended up signing up with HookeOnSolar. If this was not enough, the installation crew took it a notch higher wrt customer service and doing what was important for the customer: Xavier, Anthony, Logan and Lolly (apologies if I misspelt any of the names) were part of the installation crew (Truck #9) that did the installation in one day at our place. They were here at the time they mentioned they would at (in fact earlier). Throughout the day - they were extremely patient (each and every one of them, especially Xavier) and kept answering all my questions. In fact, at one stage, I ended up telling them - that I will keep having questions so please let me know if I am impacting their work. The highlight of their work - Once I told them as to how I would prefer not to have any conduits, exposed, they took it upon themselves to come up with an installation plan and how they would run the wires through the attic and remarkably - NOT A SINGLE conduit was exposed in the entire installation. Right now - our house is the only house in the locality that has Solar and NOT a single conduit/wire can be seen. Even though they had to start late, they did not rush through the job and continued working in the dark and ended up debugging an A/C issue (unrelated to the installation) well after their installation was complete. They even caught a tarantula spider in the frontyard and kept it to show to me and my kids. Last year (2014), after almost 2 years of trying go solar, I was determined to find a solar company that could meet my needs but not deny me because of my credit. Like a lot of people during the Great Recession, I lost my job and had to declare bankruptcy. But to top that off, I owned 9 pieces of real estate so the economic downturn really hit me hard. So it posed a challenge to any solar company to find a way to put solar panels on my roof. Purchasing a system would have been a daunting task credit wise, so I determined that a lease was probably a better way to go about getting solar panels. All of the different companies touted their product to be of the highest quality. The big problem was that all of them wanted to install a system and have me pay them a set rate for the electricity my roof provided to their grid. They also wanted a down payment paid up front or financed into the monthly bill. Another problem was that they weren't willing to put a sytem on my roof that would produce enough electricity to run my house year around, which meant i still had to pay a portion of my electrical needs to PG&E, whose rates ALWAYS go up. I called a dozen companies or more, then out of nowhere, I got a call from Nicole Barenchi (916)525-8239 at 'Hooked on Solar'. She asked if I was interested in getting solar with Sunpower. I was skeptical as SHE called ME. However, within a few minutes, she had me on my computer, downloading my PG&E yearly consumption report ans she gave me several option for a partial, full coverage system as well as lease or buy options. I was really wanting to purchase, but it needed cleaning up of my credit to do so. She provided me with a credit counselor, FREE OF CHARGE, who would monitor my credit and make corrections for me. She did enough to get me up to acceptable level to qualify for a lease, so I told Nicole I didn't want to wait anther 3-6 months to purchase. She explained that after leasing my panels for 20 years, it would not be likely that anyone would come and take them off my roof. And since the leasing option provided me a much lower monthly payment, I decided to get the lease. She was super. Within about a month or so, she had the permits and installers were on my roof. My neighbos were intrigued at the new technology but were kinda skeptical as I was. Nicole explained that i should wait 1 year for my 'true-up' with PG&E, and when they see what I have saved, they'll want to do the same. And because I referred them, THEY and ME would get a $500 bonus for signing them up, what a deal! It's been ten months, and since March, I have paid about $37-38/a month on my gas use and my electrical has been zero. PG&E sent me a letter 2 months prior to 'true-up' and as of this point, they OWE ME $318. Mind you, my electric bill AVERAGED $265/month, with my lease, I pay $156/months, nearly $110 savings each month. Now I'm looking at getting back close to $400 in October from PG&E and I'm lovin' it. Thanks Nicole, you're the greatest! BTW, even after my great exoperience with Hooked on Solar and Nichole, she still makes herself available to answer my questions. Solar review: We had already put sun screens on our windows attempting to block out the afternoon heat, installed a whole-house fan, kept the AC turned off or used it sparingly, but we still had high electric bills. After a few years paying over $500 in electricity during the summer, we got serious about looking into solar. When we looked online, there were a TON of companies that offered solar panels. We wanted to do our due diligence and make sure we chose an experienced company that we could trust. We talked to our friends, did a lot of research online, and found 5 companies that all had good reviews. We had each one of them come to our home one at a time to give us a quote. It was a confusing process, because each one would tell us why their company was the best. In the end I was impressed with two of them, and made a few more phone calls to each of them asking them several follow-up questions before finally deciding on Justin with Hooked on Solar I was very impressed with Justin as he was very patient while doing his best to educate us on solar. He didn't do the hard-sell. The company was highly recommended on Yelp. Justin explained to us in simple terms what we should expect through all aspects of the project. We did not go with the lowest bid. We were looking for best in class. Although Justin's bid was the lower of the final two, they were not the lowest of the entire group. We selected Hooked on Solar because of their great 25-year warranty on all equipment and labor, and because we felt we could trust the company. Hooked on Solar had the best of everything for us. I was confident that we were getting the best system for our needs. Justin kept in contact with us throughout the entire process. He answered all emails, texts and calls most times within a few hours. He was always very friendly, calm and professional. The install crew was fast, attentive, courteous, and did not leave any mess. On installation day the crew showed up early, worked hard, and finished the large install, leaving only a few pick-up items (painting the conduit). There were a couple of challenges that arose, but Justin handled them and resolved everything quickly. After the installation, we discovered the bird barrier that we had them place around our solar panels was not the correct size. I reported this to Justin, and he sent a crew the next day that removed the small screen and fitted it correctly with a much larger bird screen around the panels. They bent over backwards to make sure we were happy with everything, even going to Home Depot to get paint that matched the outside of our house before painting some existing electrical conduit that had been installed by another contractor years earlier. I can't say enough about the great install and the professionalism of Justin and the Hooked On Solar crew. There is a reason Hooked on Solar has a 5 star rating. GREAT EXPERIENCE We finally purchased a new solar system and thanks to Hooked on Solar! We are pleased with the work quality and the people we dealt with. I personally spent 22 years working for CBS Radio Sacramento reporting to CBS in New York daily and was often asked what was my secret to becoming successful? My response was simple -- "I hire great people and they make me look good" ... Hooked on Solar has great people starting from Nicole Barenchi, Sales Consultant. She was very knowledgeable on not only Hooked on Solar systems but what other solar companies offered. We were looking at four different solar companies who all told us why they had the best systems. Nicole helped break down each proposal, and it became very clear that Sun Power provided the best panels/inverters, which was a #1 priority for us. She also helped us understand warranties offered by the different companies and it became clear that Hooked on Solar offers the best warranty, a #2 priority for us. Nicole then helped go through various payment options, which was our priority #3 and better understand the IRS deductions like the 18 month same as cash and the low interest loan available to consumers. If it weren't for Nicole's help, we would still be in limbo trying to figure this all out. "I'm so grateful that Hooked on Solar made it an easy decision for us ... Thank you Nicole!!" Lastly, construction was a big deal for us. I know you already know this, but your construction of ground mounted system are leaps and bounds ahead of your competitors. Oscar answered all my questions and and gave me a logical reason why it was done that way. The rest of the construction crew were all friendly and from what I could tell, all hard workers. We have been following the solar industry for several years, it makes a lot of sense but in the end has to be economically feasible. A couple years ago, we worked with another company to see if we could justify the installation, etc. It got complicated quickly with ground mounts, long AC runs, ertc. So, we parked the idea until mid 2013. After talking with 4 different companies and getting quotes from 2, we decided to go with Hooked On Solar. Their approach to business, being a local company, local references and having dedicated installation people helped make our decision. Michelle Millard is/was our sales person and I must say was quite patient with my endless questions and asking about different configurations, challenging their estimates, etc. She was very straight forward and took the time to explain why one proposal or configuration differed from another and the reasoning behind a particular approach. After several weeks of endless questions from us, we finalized a configuraton and started the installation process. We were given projected installation timing and kept updated on the progess of equipment delivery and scheduled installation. The installation went quickly and we were very happy with the professional approach all the installers had. No issues with the installation and the first power test to show us how the system worked flawlessly, and they even showed us how we could monitor system performnce online via the internet. PG&E drug their feet giving approval to turn the system on, not a Hooked on Solar issue and we were told up front there would be waiting period for final approval from PG&E. Approval finally came and we flipped a couple switches and were up and running. It has only been a few weeks since turn up and we have enjoyed clear blue skies, the system is performing as expected. My Husband and I were just married, sold two homes and bought a large home in Auburn--all within four months! We knew our new home was 100% electric, but the home sat vacant for a year and we did not have an average gauge for the PG&E bill until our 3rd month there. Unfortunately, with the constant work crews and remodel, our "true" electricity bill was crazy so we decided to put the installation of Solar on the top of the "to do" list. We worked with someone who had just went through Justin and had HOS to install solar at his house so we already had a 'thumbs up' recommendation from him but when I reached out to Justin for the first time, he more than impressed me by his willingness to sit down with us and go through the entire process with him in person. My Husband asked some tough questions of the solar process from Justin who again, took his time to ensure we understood each and every answer. By the end of our discussion, my Husband felt like Justin was thorough and genuine enough to bypass the other "sales pitches" we had scheduled and we signed right then and there (keeping in mind we already had a summary opinion of our co-worker). The entire process played out EXACTLY as Justin had told us to expect and he was only a phone call or text away at the drop of a hat. When it came time for the actual install, it was an amazing process to watch and the crew was stellar and professional. We had 40 panels installed and our roof line does not look "patchwork" or gaudy. We childishly check the power generation input daily just to marvel at what we have just done and cannot wait to see those PG&E bills. A lot of power in a small space. Installing solar is expensive and should only be considered after you have taken all other energy saving steps to reduce your electric usage. I looked into solar 4 years ago and it just was not justifiable, in my opinion. I spent less then 1/10th the cost of a small solar install on upgrading my pool pump and that took care of PG&E's tier 5 and most of tier 4. Today, prices have dropped significantly and I felt I could offset the remaining tier 4 and most of tier 3 at a reasonable price. I had talked with 4 companies. I eliminated one because they only work over the web - no site which I felt was necessary. I eliminated another because they were pushing for a lease (I wanted to own my system) and they wanted to put panels on a somewhat north facing roof slope. That got me down to Hooked on Solar and another very qualified company. Both companies did site visits. Once I got both quotes equal in equipment, there was no question, HOS was a great price. My roof is steep (10:12) cement shakes. This was the biggest hurdle for HOS for my install. A very large number of tiles were broken and replaced with a tile that matched the size but nowhere close to matching the original in color or texture. The crew was great and did the best they could with what they had to work with. Using proper tools and techniques, only a fraction of tiles would have been lost. The majority of the tiles replaced are concealed beneath the solar panels, but the few that show really distract from the overall look of the final install. Overall, the look of the actual panels on my roof, the performance so far (2 weeks) and the professionalism of the crew is great. I would recommend them. However, I would hope the HOS management would invest a little in equipment for the crew to make their job go so much faster and easier. read more

After doing a bit of shopping around, I decided to go with this company to get my 5.4KW solar installed on my home. Overall, this is a 5 star service from begin to the end. Here are a few key observations: - SunPower has the best panels on the market at this time and I like the built-in micro inverter better - I signed the contract remotely and electronically without meeting in person as the company is not local in San Jose - After about 2-3 weeks, a survey person came and spent a few hours to inspect the roof, the attic, ... - After 4-6 weeks, the crew came and did the installation for about 6 hours. There are two guys doing the panel mounting on the roof. One guy open up the MSP and adding a sub panel next to it. The other guy was doing the wiring inside the attic. - The solar panels looks beautiful as all wires are hidden and ran inside the attic. So there is no conduit running around on the roof like others. - There are some small details that could be done better but I'm happy to see it done like this. - About a week later, a technician came to meet a city inspector to show the work they have done like open up a panel and show the box under and wiring inside the attic,... and get that all inspected "passed ok" - After that, PG&E started to accept the solar this system generate. - There is an app on the phone and its web site to login and track the energy harvested by the system, which is pretty cool. *some details can be done better: - They struggled with a single conduit coming down from the 2nd level roof to the sub panel. As a result, the conduit is not perfectly bended/twisted. - They skipped the wired ethernet option to connect the monitor unit - They never attempt to install the electric usage monitor on older MSP read more

I'm a tough customer for this sort of thing. I research the heck out of the technology, I look at all the options, and as someone handy, I consider doing it myself. So, over the last 3 years, I've looked at solar a number of times. Each time, the math did not pan out. I looked at the cost of materials, the estimated labor, and the total cost, and shook my head. Nope. On top of that, the solar companies that came out didn't seem to want my business. They quoted, maybe followed up once, and I never heard from them again. After I got my estimate from Hooked on Solar, and I figured it was just another small solar company. Told him briefly what I was looking for, almost dismissively, but to my surprise, I felt heard. He answered my questions, and followed up in email, numerous times. He showed that he was not just a sales guy but knew the tech, upcoming trends and changes, and spent time keeping abreast of things. During the design phase, they moved some panels to a different location which I was unsure about, but it ended up being the right call as it made the system more efficient. My HOS installation happened on time (before year end as promised), was installed quickly (barely over a day), and the work was done professionally, including cleaning up and painting conduit at no charge. Being a new home owner, I have been approached by many solar sales people. I knew that I wanted to purchase solar for my new home. BUT, who was I going to choose? I chose SunPower by Hooked On Solar. You may ask, WHY? Answer is really very simple. Most sales people that I encountered, we're very aggressive and high sales oriented. When are companies going to learn that you do not need to be aggressive and giving a high sales pitch. SunPower was not aggesive at all. My sales rep is Jon Landsman. A trully fine man. Nothing high pressured at all. We invited Jon into our home. We sat down in a very relaxed environment. My wife, Jon, and I had a very friendly meeting. Jon was very patient, and understanding what our needs were. We brought out our PG@E bill. Jon had exposed information that we didn't understand. I've been a Hooked on Solar customer since 2017 when my husband and I worked with this company to secure a SunPower, now SunStrong, leased solar system. Over the 9 years since, Hooked on Solar has been great in providing system servicing and troubleshooting. There's one company individual, though, that I'd like to recognize for all of the help he has provided over the term of this lease. Alfredo has been my go-to contact since 2018 and has always been able to resolve any system issues graciously and informatively. This was never more so than with my recent roof repair project that required system removal and reinstall. Alfredo helped me realize real savings and dedicated himself and staff to all that was required in coordinating with my selected roofing company to complete this project. We finally took the leap to solar and delighted with Hooked on Solar! I am a sourcing professional by trade; therefore, research is inherent for me. We moved with this company for a few reasons, although the keys were the sales process (Lisa McNeil was amazing!), their panel technology over others, and their support model. Many solar companies use sub contractors, which means if you have an issue you will likely be faced with finger pointing where the customer is forced to make multiple calls. With this company you make 1 phone call and they take care of you. Lisa made this process exceptional for us as she educated us, was patient with our insurmountable amount of questions, made us feel prioritized, and walked us through each step. She even helped us set up the mobile app for us to geek out on our consumption, which is quite addicting! Plus, she is simply a nice person and refreshing to work with. The install team was professional and made us feel comfortable before they drive away. The design seems perfect and right sized for how we live as we have had our panels for several months now and delighted that we are selling energy back, but not too much to indicate we were oversold. Our installation is done and we are very happy customers. We reached out to SunPower by Hooked on Solar at the beginning of February and Janelle came out to our house on a Sunday and met with us. She provided lots of great information about the company, the equipment and the process of going solar. After reviewing our PG&E bills and getting us pre-qualified, we met again to over all of our options. A system was designed to specifically meet our needs and before we knew it the installation was underway. The installation process took less than a full day and the crew was extremely professional, polite and efficient. The crew member that had to go into the attic even vacuumed our floors anywhere that he stepped. The system was inspected and approved the very next day and we had permission to operate from SMUD only a couple days later. Now I launch my little smart phone app several times a day and watch the numbers as our roof generates all of our electricity. It was very important to us that we own our system, and not lease it and that's exactly what we got. In the end we have a system that saves us money every month and will save us more money every year as we pay if off and PG&E rates continue to climb. The Hooked on Solar team exceeded our expectations on all levels of our solar project. We had been considering solar for awhile and decided to pull the trigger when SMUD changed our rate plan to time of use. After having several contractors to our home, we chose Hooked on Solar because they offer SunPower products and they were very competitively priced. Although they weren't the cheapest, we felt like we were getting the best overall value from this company. The sign up process was made very simple and Hooked on Solar walked us through each step to ensure that we were comfortable and that we were choosing the right product. Our project manager, Brianna, was awesome and kept us informed and up to date on how our project was progressing. They handled communication with our roofer and dealt with the permitting. All we had to do was sit back and relax! We have a very complex roof and Hooked on Solar was able to do the entire installation in one day. They cleaned up after the job, and the crew lead took time to walk us through the entire solar system. It is performing better than expected and we couldn't be more happy. All of the companies that I interviewed used the same monitoring website so this was not a decision factor: https://monitoring.solaredge.com For me there were several important decision factors: 1) Where were the panels made? Sunpower panels are the only ones made in the USA, and are recognized as the most efficient in the industry. 2) How many panels would be required? Sunpower panels required about one third less panels than the competitors which left me room on my roof for future growth if ever needed. 3) Reliability of the installation team: Hooked on Solar is a Master Dealer which is the highest level assigned by Sunpower 4) Warranties - Sunpower panel had the best warranty 5) Cost - Sunpower may be a little more expensive than the competitors selling foreign manufactured panels One note on the Time of Use Plan option: You will need to confirm if this plan is still available, but we opted into this plan because we get credits for production during the day at the highest possible rates, so any use shifted to off peak is a benefit. It was a smooth and easy transaction and installation! Justin Orban, solar consultant in Auburn, was professional, informative, and friendly. Justin has a calm demeanor, and helped us through our anxiety and concerns of moving forward towards solar energy usage for our home. After thorough research with other solar companies, working with Justin, and understanding the prevailing technology and research of USA made solar cells of Sunpower, we just had to move forward. Everything from start to finish was very easy and without hassle. We did absolutely nothing and they did all the work...it was as always, professional, courteous, and very clean (transaction, service, and installation)! By the time I was actually ready to go with solar, I had done a bit of shopping around. I found that most of the " hardware store " solar salespeople weren't very knowledgeable on the actual product they were pushing. I received several quotes, and dealt with a handful of door to door solar salesman. I say dealt with, because it's nicer than "wanted to bounce them off my porch". I learned of Sunpower by Hooked on Solar through my neighbor, who had recently leased a solar system through them. After reading the reviews, I found they had the best ratings around. I contacted Lauren. She was very helpful, and thorough. She explained all available options. I chose the purchase option, and went with a slightly larger than demand Sunpower system. The installation went very smoothly. I own an older home, and they treated it just as if it were a brand new house. My breaker box was old, and obsolete, so they replaced with brand new at no extra charge. Lauren, and hooked on solar truly made me happy with my decision. The remote monitoring via smart phone is great. I often show my coworker who went with one of the " hardware store companies " , how much more power my system , with less total panels than his makes. I want to give a shoutout to the professionals at Hooked-On-Solar of Rockland, CA who recently completed the installation of a 13.5 kW-hr backup battery system at my home. They originally installed solar panels on my roof about 5 years ago and did a fantastic job with that installation, so I had no hesitation in employing them again when Ashlee Hahn sent me a proposal for a battery installation in November 2024. The signup, contract formation and invoice payments were pretty frictionless, and they got to work right away with a site visit, drawing preparation and submittals to the local building department and PG&E. They facilitated all aspects of the process including the PG&E review and approval to operate the system. The whole effort from the time I first signed the contract until the installation was completed was about 4 weeks. It did take PG&E another month to approve the system and allow it to officially operate. The battery, however, was up and running from the day the installation was complete. Ashlee and her team (Nick for installation, Rodney as Project Manager and Brianna as babysitter for me while I anxiously monitored the installation) are all first rate professionals and I would highly recommend their services for anybody's solar system needs. read more

After months of researching solar options & companies for our home in El Dorado Hills, my wife & I decided to go with Hooked on Solar. From the first consultation to final installation the process couldn't have gone better. Michelle Millard & Ed Fralick were an absolute pleasure to work with. In December we had our solar system installed by Hooked on Solar on a house we just purchased earlier in the year. This is the second time we have installed a solar system, the first time was about 10 years ago on our prior house and so I was very familiar with how they operate. On the first day of the install, the Hooked on Solar installation team was right on time, they explained everything that would take place over the two day installation period and when they were done, they even replaced a few broken roof tiles on another part of our roof with ones that were removed and not needed as a part of the installation. After the installation, all of the follow-up appointments with the city inspectors and a couple of appointments to wrap up a couple loose ends, the Hooked on Solar staff were right on time and explained everything that would take place. Overall, every person we worked with from Justin who sold us the system and was always available for follow-up, to the electricians, technicians and installers were well-trained, personable, professional and never hesitated to answer any question we had.
