We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. All in all, if you need a new roof or solar system or home battery, or all of the above, call Volt. They are a competent and professional group of local people who are really f**king good at what they do.

The pool solar is totally useless, does not produce any heat, when I asked for a review I was told I would need to cut down my (4) Birch trees (very delicate branches) in order for pool solar to work. This was not suggested or shared when installing the solar, perhaps they knew that would be a hard no. I will need to have new pool solar installed and repair my new roof. I am floored that Magic Sun could not manage to provide good pool solar and add enough electric solar to satisfy their profit. 1 star is being generous.

This was such a big deal because for the past 25 years my family hosts a Christmas Day gathering for 50+ family members. The oven is basically on the entire day preparing dishes and keeping others warm. The oven was only 6 months old so I immediately thought it had to do with something electrical and the breaker had tripped. I've used another Electrician in the Folsom area before but it was a Sunday and they were not open. My wife immediately hit Facebook and put an SOS post to all her friends to see they knew and electrician that might be able to make it out before Christmas. We received two referrals and Stamper Electric was one of them. I gave Leroy a call and he answered, on a Sunday. I let him know how I got his name and what was going on. It was about 10:00am when I called. I could tell he was grappling with the idea of making out that day but said he would check his schedule and get back to me. I wasn't sure he would call back. He called back within 5 minutes and said he could be at my house within the hour. I now understand the hesitation when he answered because come to find out he had two separate family Christmas parties/dinners to attend that day. Like he said he was at our house within the hour. He quickly diagnosed what our problem was, ran to the hardware store to get a part he needed and fixed our problem. Even though it was deemed an emergency repair at least by me his total cost was very reasonable. He also took the time to explain what was going on and why the problem was happening. The oven has been working great since. If I ever need an electrician again, I will not hesitate to call Stamper Electric. Next time I'll try to give him at lease a 24-hour notice. Thanks Leroy.

This new line was in case we ever wanted to replace the cooktop with an induction cooktop. Most recently he came back to move the junction box, as we had decided to get that induction cooktop after all, and it spec'd a junction box lower down than Mike installed. (Of course, if we'd picked a cooktop ahead of time and had the spec, this extra trip would not have been needed.) They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! From start to finish, very efficient and courteous. Good quality work. House was dramatically under insulated. After insulation my AC essentially never comes on, where prior it would run for nearly all day and still struggle to get temp cool. And the rooms that felt hotter then rest of home was now equal. I'm interested to see how winter feels but suspect will be the same regarding energy heater usage needs. Other companies told me I had to change my entire hvac system and get it re calibrated to get the other rooms equal temp; but the answer was just insulation. Massive savings. I never knew how much good insulation was actually sooo important and the massive longterm cost savings it provides. And better do it soon before it stresses your ac unit and need to replace a whole unit which costs crazy more money. Every summer my AC unit would break trying to get us cool. Sucked. With now a fully insulated home, hopefully this next summer will not break my AC. Would definitely use them again if needed, but there's lifetime warranty on product so doubt need in this house.

From the start, the process was confusing and did not inspire confidence. We were initially told the HVAC system would be replaced, but later informed that the space would not accommodate it as planned. The scope of work seemed unclear and ultimately was not completed as originally explained. Since installation, we have continued to experience significant temperature imbalance throughout the home. The living room becomes very cold, while the bedroom remains warm and uncomfortable--especially at night. This has been a consistent issue for the past year. Additionally, the system appears to be oversized for a home of this size. Installing a three-ton unit in a 972 sq ft space raises concerns about improper system sizing, which can lead to short cycling, poor airflow distribution, and uneven temperatures--exactly what we are experiencing. Communication has also been extremely frustrating. We have struggled to get clear answers or meaningful follow-up regarding these ongoing issues, despite raising concerns multiple times. We were recently informed that the project passed inspection, but passing inspection does not reflect real-world performance. A properly installed HVAC system should provide consistent comfort throughout the home, and that is not happening here. After a full year of unresolved issues, incomplete work, and lack of communication, we cannot recommend this company.

I am writing this review 1 year after install, as we just got our true up of $0. NewGen was spectacular with the permitting and installation process. They walked me through the tax credits and were extremely responsive. One year later and I cannot recommend them enough. I just wish I hadn't wasted my time looking into other companies Great company!!

As I was left holding the bag, I discovered that that company did not generate a permit either before of after installation so I had to scramble to get that issue resolved to get the proper inspections completed. I got hold of Chris at Aztec and he was a fountain of great information. Chris gave me the information and contacts as to how to get my project to the inspection stage. Chris went totally out of his way to help me. As hindsight is 20/20 I wish that I had started with Aztec from the start. These guys do it all!…read more We've been working with Magic Sun Electric and Magic Sun Solar for a decade now and they do excellent work. In the past, we've had Magic Sun Electric help us with installing a charging station in our garage and then a few years later, converting the charging to a Tesla Universal Charger. Fast forward a few months later and I was not liking the look of the TV wires hanging down from our wall-mounted TV. Thought of getting a kit on Amazon and digging a hole in the wall to hide the wires. But then we decided to get a quote from Magic Sun Electric and let the professionals handle it. Chad responded promptly, gave me a quote and we were able to set up a day/time via text. On the day of, Jim and Nick showed up right on time and got the job done! I love looking at the wall and not seeing wires anymore! We always know we are in good hands when dealing with Magic Sun Electric (as well as their solar side). Glad they are a local company that we can go to for spur-of-the-moment projects as well as recommend them to friends and family.

I got a quote immediately and they stopped by the next day to confirm the setup and the quote. The appointment for the work was scheduled for the following week, a few days later. They came on time, introduced themselves, and installed the new outlet and charger as requested. They also showed me the work on the panel and recommended if I need to remove the charger, to turn off the breaker first. All that was done in less than an hour.
