This was not suggested or shared when installing the solar, perhaps they knew that would be a hard no. I will need to have new pool solar installed and repair my new roof. I am floored that Magic Sun could not manage to provide good pool solar and add enough electric solar to satisfy their profit. 1 star is being generous.

I then put all three into ChatGPT and here is the one comment about Phoenix Energy Solutions' proposal that was the most salient. "Those are signs that the contractor is paying attention to installation quality rather than simply replacing equipment." The price was also very competitive and when the entire scope of the proposals where compared, it was the best from a cost perspective. Of course a proposal on paper, is just that, words on paper. Now it's time to see if the work stands up to the words. Yes, yes they did. Five stars here. Communication was clear, scheduling the job was prompt. The job took two days and our new Amana 3-ton 17+ SEER Variable Heat Pump system was installed and working beautifully. Now, keep in mind this is a very intrusive process, but Micah and his crew were conscientious and careful in our home. I don't review routine service calls, but go ahead and imagine about 3 dozen 5 star reviews for keeping my systems running and functional as they met and then exceeded normal life for these units. Well, all good things must come to an end. The AC sealant gave out, flooding my attic and into my master bathroom. After much consideration, I came to realize that it was time to replace the AC, and possibly the equally old and increasingly troublesome heater. So Micah came over and presented several options and discussed which ones were SMUD rebate eligible. I went with the bundled (and SMUD rebate eligible) AC + Heat Pump combo. Micah and his son (already an industry veteran and very capable) arrived bright and early (e.g. right on time) and 10 hours later - old units removed, new units installed. The big surprise was *nothing* - e.g. none of the clunks grinds, whooshes, strained sounds of the old system. Just nice cool air evenly distributed throughout my 3/2 bungalow. The old system kept the master suite at temperature, but ran hot summers and cold winters in the kid's rooms at the other end of the house. Remember folks, true power doesn't roar - it whispers. And of course, thank you Phoenix Energy Solutions for fair pricing and top notch professional HVAC services.

He recommended that we install two GFI protected circuit breakers on circuits that weren't grounded, and in doing so we uncovered a problem with the way one of the circuits was wired as turning on the kitchen lights caused the new GFI breaker to trip. He came back the very next day and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Jeff is very knowledgeable and efficient in his work, and I'm glad I know have someone to turn to for troubleshooting electrical problems.

He inspected them and showed me how each one was clean, dry, and completely fine. He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. I am very happy with the service he provided and the price I paid! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

He spent 40 minutes prying at different parts and trying to forcefully remove my fuse box to get to the 100A fusible link that I had to tell him was located beneath and the assembly had to be unbolted to get to it from underneath. After 40 minutes of painfully watching him attempt to force things open. I politely asked him to stop as it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and broke a few components off my housing. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. DO NOT TRUST HIM!

I used Yelp to put a blanket request for the Sacramento area, and Stress Free Auto reached out right away! I was able to take my car in first thing the next morning and was greeted in such a friendly and warm way. Knowing they had a few jobs ahead of me, they called a niiiice Lyft and made sure I got home free of charge! From there the communication was excellent. There were continual texts that provided information about their progress not only with searching for the main problem, but also a general overall inspection of my vehicle. Once complete they sent me an estimate, I called to coordinate which things I wanted repaired/addressed, and they sent over a finalized quote that I signed immediately. It was quick, informative, and quite literally stress free The main problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. Seems like an extensive repair, right? Well, they let me know later that afternoon that they were done! Amazing same day service! Absolutely incredible. It's been a month since the repair and I haven't had any issues. So, in my book, that's a job well done! The only small gripe I have is the cost. Again, it was same day service, so it's understandable that I might have paid more than I would have at another local shop, but they did offer a discount on the initial inspection cost. Some other shops roll the inspection cost into the cost of repairs, but unfortunately Stress Free doesn't do that. Plus, a couple of suggested repairs were somewhat of a laughable cost. If memory serves, they quoted me around $60 to replace wipers. I'm not sure if it was a quote for all 3, or just one, but I spent $15 on a wiper on the way home and installed it myself. Whatever, they are trying to make money! Despite my small price gripe, I will be using Stress Free in the future for any vehicle concerns I have!

I found ILUM Solar through a Chico State Alum friend of mine at H&H Electric out of Sacramento, CA. After initial contact via a simple text message, the race was on. Tyler, who contacted me from ILUM Solar, gave me the run down, gave me ample time to ask questions, etc., hooked me up with several loan companies with different options which was great. Tyler walked me through everything, plans, what I need (or better, don't need to do) to make my house a Solar producing entity. I asked for no BS, and I received no BS. All facts, down to who takes care of the permits, PG&E paperwork, etc. Tyler kept me in the loop from day 1, through the final product, which was completed in 1 day of work. My neighborhood was in AWE!! at the site of the work performed. Our solar installation is fantastic and we could not be more enthusiastic about Ilum. These gentlemen are really doing it right, and it's great to work with a company that obviously cares about what they do. Engineers and installers were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process, very flexible with requests for changes in the installation plan, always friendly and nice, and even our smallest concerns were addressed with care and respect. Our brand-new roof was treated with kid gloves and after the test of heavy rains, it's 100% perfect. The panels are high-quality, sleek-looking, and are performing to maximum potential every day. It's great to be getting most of our power from clean solar energy instead of fossil fuels, and the savings on utility bills are amazing. After vetting three other Solar installation companies we contracted with Ilum Solar April 2019. The initial deciding factor for choosing Ilum was not their longevity in the business but rather the character and integrity of the sells engineers Anthony Knox and his partner (sorry i don't remember her). What I do remember about the two of them was their genuine desire to make sure we were fully educated and informed regarding how the solar system works, the various panel options, the different inverter options, the number of solar panels necessary to meet and or exceed our goals, etcetera, etcetera. They sincerity coupled with their knowledge sold us. The fact that the Ilum solar system performance exceeded our expectations is a testimony to the marriage of the right people and the right product succeeding regardless of company size. Received a bid from Ilum, through PickMySolar.com. Their bid was substantially cheaper than others, mostly because they didn't tack on an additional charge for working with metal shingles. They completed design and install within a few days for our 21-panel, 6.3 kW system, and took care of all permits and inspections. Their design was creative, using several arrays facing different directions, for our NE facing roof. Overall energy production has been better than expected, and quite reliable despite wind and rain. They came back out a fixed a small roof leak for us, even though it turned out not to be due to their install. Highly recommended solar installer--very professional, reliable, and creative. read more

My equipment was installed inspected and Ready for net metering within 3 weeks . NV energy had my meter installed within 1 month of installation. I'm extremely happy with my system and would highly recommend Ilum Solar Compay. This was a big purchase and it's important to Be confident with the company you use. We were not 100% sure we needed solar at our Lake Tulloch vacation home, but decided to go for it. Well the install went very well, the look was good and we are very pleased that with 1 year under our belt it performed better than expected. Our "true up" after 1 year was -$35. We are very pleased and ended up having Ilum install a system on our primary residence as well. Again the install was quick, efficient and now we wait for the results of our first year. Called these guys for a quote about getting solar put up on my house. Not only were they very knowledgeable but I didn't feel like they were just trying to sell me something. They made sure I knew exactly what solar could do for me and how much I could save on my monthly bill by getting some panels installed. It turned out to be a software issue, and they stuck with it every step of the way--slowly bringing the battery back with a trickle charge, updating the system, and reprovisioning it multiple times until everything was running like it should. What really matters is that they're one of the very few companies in Northern California that will even take on SunPower systems these days. With so many providers stepping away after the company's collapse, it's a huge relief to find a team that's willing and able to help. They were quick to respond, easy to work with, and their pricing felt completely reasonable for the amount of effort involved. I'd absolutely call them again if I needed service.

I have to say, I am so happy with my decision and my savings even slightly exceeded what my projected savings had. When I began shopping for solar I was pretty new to the concept and really needed to work with a company who was willing to educate me and walk me through the entire process. I contacted three companies and received consults/quotes from each of them. I worked directly with the owner of Sunwave, Jose Alvarez. He was knowledgeable, professional and detail-oriented and he clearly enjoys what he does. That was a huge determining factor for me in making my purchasing decision. Yuri has always been the one sent out to me and he is a good tech. I recently called them because I was hearing rattling. I was hearing it from all vents in each room. When they first came out, he couldn't pin point it an of course it wasn't rattling very noticeable when he was there. Recorded the sound and send the video the next day. Todd, the office manager, awesome guy, re-scheduled me for another appointment the next day. He sent out a different guy, Darryl, super knowledgeable. He was out my house for a nice period of time and lo and behold he found where the darn noise was coming from! So happy to know I don't need to cut into the ceilings thinking it was duct work! I trust these guys and definitely recommend them. I myself work from home as an office manager for an hvac company in the Bay Area. If I can't have my company, TRC is great company
