Came here recently with a coworker who has been dying to try this place. I got an iced caramel macchiato which was delicious. I was very pleased with it. I also wanted to order a breakfast burrito since I was there and didn't have food back at work. The burrito was extremely large in size and delicious. I was there early in the AM and still waited almost 20 minutes for a burrito which was really long in my opinion. I'll probably be a returning customer, but I'd call ahead to see if I can place an order to save myself some time. read more

Saw this spot all over tik tok so had to come try it out. Got the muertos latte, matcha horchata, and ube horchata viet. Coffee was really good, great tasting coffee. For food, I got the arrachera burrito and cheese and egg croissant. Burrito was really good, comes with salsas. Croissant was really good, bigger than expected. Overall would recommend coming here and trying it out. Would definitely be back for more goodies. Do recommend ordering online ahead of time. It's a small spot and gets super packed. read more

4.5/5 My second time trying their coffee! Firstly, the coffee tastes good and it's strong! The flavors and sweetness kind of drown out the coffee taste, I like to taste my coffee so 50/50 about that. I've gotten the mazapán latte and horchata latte both delicious and on the sweeter side. Next coffee I get I'll have to remember to wake them to make it less sweet. I also got the green juice and it was really yummy definitely will get that again. I took off half a star because wait times can be long! Especially in the morning before work 7-8am time.so I avoid going here during the work week. I went the second time on a Sunday at 8:30am and waited about 15 mins for 1 drink. Also I think they should have a menu hanging so you can look at it while you wait. Instead of just at the register or pulling out your phone to look it up. Also, they do charge a $.50 processing fee I think because I paid with card. I understand as a small business you cannot intake those fees. Hopefully they get to a point where they can! Seemed like just opened, as in a brand new business it was empty , Music was loud which is cool but I didn't really feel like I wanted to be shouting over music in the morning (that's just me though). Coffee took 10 mins even though they said the mixture was pre made. Logo was cool but probably won't go there again it's not a place to grab coffee have a pan dulce and chill. Felt the need to upgrade my review. The pumpkin chai we ordered with black cold foam was presented to us as a black milky drink, like charcoal mixed into milk. It didn't look like a pumpkin chai with black cold foam or taste like pumpkin or chai. It was disappointing to be served something so unsightly and unflavored when it's an $8.50 drink. Not sure if this is new or if I just never noticed - but they charge a 50 cent processing fee that makes it feel like you're purchasing something at a sketchy circle k and not a coffee shop. They don't tell you about it or ask for your consent. I only noticed because I happened to look down at the screen at their register that shows the details of your order and saw that the blonde woman had charged us a fifty cent processing fee. It's less than a dollar but it feels deceptive and led to me not tipping the way we always have. read more

My favorite local coffee spot in all of Orange County, locally owned and operated! I love this coffee it's strong, and it's flavorful and refreshing. The horchata Vietnamese iced coffee is mine and my husband's favorite choice of coffee. We started supporting when the shop was a small pop up through a panaderia in Santa Ana and ever since then we loved the coffee and seeing them grow and expand has been awesome and the coffee is just as good as my first sip! Hood Coffee just reopened a little farther from the Circle -- technically in Santa Ana now -- but it's just on the other side of the 22 freeway, still very close to Orange and the Circle. Even though the signage isn't up yet, don't let that fool you -- this place is worth finding. The coffee is excellent, the service is fast and friendly, and they offer a great selection of seasonal drinks. I had a pumpkin spice latte and my daughter had an ube coffee -- both were perfectly sweetened and really well done. I'm pretty picky about coffee, and these were great. I also happened to visit on a $5 coffee day, which made it an even better deal. The new location is cute, comfortable, and has plenty of parking. Definitely check them out! read more

First timer. Drive from Palm Springs to check this place out. Didn't quite live up to the hype. The coffee was overly sweet, you could taste the horchata but it felt like we were drinking sugar with a splash of coffee and horchata. The tamales were meh. The green was VERY acidic and spicy. The red was better but still nothing crazy. The restaurant itself was run down, older looking, can definitely use some love. For an early Saturday morning, there wasn't a big variety of pan dulce so we didn't get any. It didn't look very appetizing. The service was ok, nothing overly impressive. Was excited to try out a new coffee spot and checked it out this morning. There was a line coming in but not too much of a long wait, I ordered a Spanish latte cause they were able to sub the milk sadly not for horchata :( the latte is strong and has good flavor. I felt like the cashier was annoyed a bit which made me feel like I was a bother asking questions about food. I don't know what some of their tortas were or a pombazo? I didn't grow up with traditional Mexican foods...I also have a dairy allergy so I need to be careful with what I eat. She didn't offer the rewards with your number, which I heard her offer to other customers after me. I spent almost $30 which would have been cool to start rewards. I only go out of my way to post reviews when it's five stars or 0-1 stars. This is my new favorite spot for coffee and I've tried a bunch. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee with pumpkin foam as recommended by Patty. Not too sweet. Not too thick. Just right. Service was amazing. Patty was super helpful and friendly so that made the experience even better. They're in the middle of fixing up the place as they just opened 6 months ago, but the vibes and atmosphere were consistent with the name of the shop. A serendipitous moment when the Metrolink shuts down so you walk to the first coffee place you see. I was on my way home from a long day at work and needed a pick-me-up as I waited for my ride. Went in this morning to get a coffee, decided on a whim to get a breakfast burrito. Got the burrito and egg. Oh my goodness! I knew the coffee was good but wow, the burrito has to be one of the best breakfast burrito's I've ever had. It's a good size burrito, filled with eggs, cheese potatoes and bacon. I love how filled it was and how the bacon was crispy and not undercooked. The coffee always hits but now I'm also gonna be stuck on the burrito. Service was great too! Good coffee and tasty food. But not worth the 40+ minute wait each time. I ordered 3 drinks and chilaquiles online at 10:25, the website stated me a completion-ready time of 10:40. I arrived at 10:45 and still waited another 20 minutes until 11:05am. I understand that they are busy, but I would rather get quoted an accurate time. To make things worse, my food order was done and sitting on the counter when I arrived at 10:45, so by the time I got my drinks 20 mins later it was getting cold. If your drinks will take 40 mins, I would rather know that and get that quoted on the website so I can plan and run an errand before I get there. I would suggest changing the website times and also making the food to be ready at the same time as the drinks. read more

I visited Hood Coffee for the first time today, and it definitely won't be my last! I tried the Horchata Vietnamese Coffee, and it was absolutely perfect--10/10. The horchata flavor was spot on, tasting like real horchata without any of that artificial taste I've experienced elsewhere. I also ordered the Cookie Butter Latte, and it was just as amazing--10/10. Very tasty drinks. My go to is the horchata viet. The horchata is comes through very clearly and neither flavor is overpowered by each other. This coffee spot is very clean and ran by women. I had seen Hood Coffee all over Instagram last year and finally made it over after they moved to their new spot just outside the Circle of Orange. It's not your typical coffee shop vibe--walking in feels like you've stepped into a 90s Orange County time capsule. No frills, just lots of baked goods and counter to receive order. But don't let the nostalgic interior fool you--the drinks are top-notch, made with high-quality ingredients. I tried the matcha, which isn't sweetened by default, so I asked the cashier about their sweetener. She recommended vanilla, and it was so good! I also spotted a ton of bakery items that I'll definitely be back for. There's no seating inside, but there is a few benches outside if you want to enjoy your drink al fresco. read more

Nice people but very slow getting the coffee and food out. Didn't have just a black coffee only Vietnamese or latte-type coffees. Drove out to Hood coffee from Glendale after seeing such a hype on IG on their fall menu, they have a huge selection of different options from ube Vietnamese lattes to pumpkin horchata lattes and everything in between, they also offer a good selection. Coffee isn't bad but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it and we tried a good variety - pumpkin horchata vietnamese, horchata vietnamese, charcoal foam coffee, cloud macchiato. They were all totally too sweet for my taste but it was nice to have that deep thick (Vietnamese) coffee flavor/taste that you don't usually get from any regular coffee shop. read more

We have made pit stops at this OG branch of Cream Pan in Tustin over the years. The location of…read morethis well-known Japanese/French bakery was unusual in that it's isolated in a corner of the El Camino Plaza. I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.

No one was available to help and periodically she would yell over to see if I was ready to order in a very bad tone. When I asked about the cheesecake selection, she said "you have to wait 30 min." I then asked what flavor it is and she said "pandan pineapple" in an annoyed tone. I asked if there were any other flavors and she said "no because I still need to decorate. You should really come later at night." I'm used to bakeries selling out later in the day but I guess it's opposite here. As if it couldn't get worse, I asked her if there are any coffees she recommended, and she said "viet coffee." I then said viet coffee is usually too strong for me and asked if there were any other recommendations and she doubled down and used a horrible tone to say "I already said I recommend the viet coffee." Therefore I opted to just not order coffee at this time. I ended up still ordering 2 cookies: miso toffee which was too firm and the ube coconut which actually was well balanced and had a nice coconut filling. I really hope they improve their customer service.
