Came back for the food item portion and the chilaquiles verdes with eggs styled over easy. It smelled yummy from the to-go box container and the taste was magnificent! I hate to leave a two star review, but I have to be honest about my experience. I've tried to visit this place three separate times now, and each time has been a letdown. I pull up, see the sign says open, walk up, and either get told they're closed or find a hand written closed sign on the door. This has happened at 12pm, 1pm, and today at 2pm, all well within their posted hours. Today was my last attempt, unfortunately. I really wanted this place to work out. I love coffee, and everything about this spot looked like exactly my vibe. I can't speak to how the coffee actually tastes because I've never managed to get inside. This coffee place looked really appealing from the outside. They have a very interesting menu. I wanted to try the Vietnamese Horchata Latte but they were out of Vietnamese coffee. I got the regular Horchata Latte instead. Their Horchata Latte is very spiced. If you like a strong cinnamon flavor you will like this. This coffee shop stands out despite being surrounded by so many great cafes! It's not the most decorated or fancy shop, but the quality of their drinks are really great. My favorite is the horchata Vietnamese latte! The strength of the coffee does not make the drink bitter, but the flavors are smooth and cinnamon forward. Found this hidden gem and I'm glad I ordered mazaan latte! I really really love the nutty flavor of mazapan! Also, the coffee is strong because it kept me focused on my work after. Parking is a little tricky because the space is very limited. There are no decorations or whatsoever, but I think they are just newly opened. There are some seats outside for you to hang around. Finally made my way to Hood Coffee in Orange. The first thing I noticed was that the inside was under construction. It honestly looked abandoned, with exposed wires and unfinished areas. It didn't feel like an operating business, and I almost left. I'm glad I stayed because the Mazapán Latte with almond milk was a 10/10. It wasn't overly sweet, the espresso was smooth and flavorful, and the pieces of mazapán added the perfect burst of flavor. The first couple of sips of the coffee were amazing, but the more I drank it, the stronger a tequila-like/alcohol taste became, to the point where it was unbearable. I've had Vietnamese coffee before, but this was my first time experiencing something like that, and I ended up dumping it. Total was about $25 ($8 for the coffee, $15 for the burrito). A bit pricey, but the burrito was loaded and filling. My only issue was the potatoes, they were cut way too large. It was decent, but I probably wouldn't order it again. Went in to get my brothers their coffee. The staff is very polite and nice! The place is clean but bear bones, could use some more art, with how the style is I'd think classic cars (photos of cool cars from the nearby car shows printed and framed maybe?) and some cool graffiti art, maybe purchase from local art or something. I do like that they have menus tho it can get abit crowded by the cashier maybe a stand or even paint two of the cabinets with chalk paint so the menu and prices can be written above. Chilaquiles were good, chorizo burrito was meh! it was ordered without cheese and the lady who took orders even repeated it back "no cheese". Never been to this place before. When I got there, there were a couple of people waiting on their order, so I was the only customer ordering. I tried to order a hot latte ... which, apparently, isn't something that they do. The lady said they could make a hot latte for certain coffees on their menu so I ordered one. And I waited. And waited. And waited. While I waited, 12 other customers came in, ordered coffee or picked up something they'd ordered online, and all got served. My coffee still hadn't arrived. So I waited. Awesome coffee! I've been here a few times and the coffee is always consistently good. The parking situation can be tough on the weekends, so be aware that you might need to park nearby and walk. This spot is on the corner of a neighborhood, so please be considerate of the people who live in the area. That aside, I've had pleasant interactions with the folks who run the place. They do have online ordering, though that doesn't ensure that your order will be ready when you arrive like Starbucks. I assume they're still working out the kinks on that. I ran into this issue when I placed an order on a Saturday morning and had to wait about 10-15 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready per the app, but they also had a line basically out the door so I wasn't mad. In fact, I was glad that a small business was so busy! The seating situation is less than ideal. The interior of the shop is dimly lit and a little sketchy, but it's my understanding that they're still figuring out what to do with this spot (they have another spot in Santa Ana that's really nice). There are a few stools inside and a couple of benches outside. I'm sure this will change and I'll update my review once it does. read more

Stopped here a few times before work and I love it. I enjoy small coffee shops in my area and it is always my goal to try them all out. So when I drove by one time, I knew I had to make a stop. First off the inside of the coffee shop is plain. It is not like one of those bougie coffee shops. The guy who has helped me numerous is welcoming every time. The coffee shop also sells pan dulce, tamales, and breakfast items. I have tried their conchas and tamales. The pan dulce is really soft and fresh. The tamales are delicious but unfortunately the last time I got one, it was really spicy but delicious. Plus, the tamale is perfect, not too much masa and the right amount of meat. As for the coffee, I have tried the horchata latte and the chai latte. Both have lots of flavor and the espresso has a great taste. Definitely woke me up on those days I didn't get enough sleep. Overall, great location and quick service. There is a small parking lot and street parking if you are heading into work. You will not be disappointed. read more
