Iced Hawaii latte, Matcha latte and macaron

The iced Hawaiian latte tasted like regular iced coffee with a hint of hazelnut. It needed more hazelnut flavour and it was too sweet for me. The matcha latte was good but nothing stood out in particular. The macaron was not good (it was dry) and would not order again. The cafe interior was very aesthetic and reminded us of the Honolulu coffee in Hawaii, there was space to sit and enjoy your drinks. The space is pretty small so we had to wait for seats. They also had a variety of crossiants that looked really good, would go back to try the pastries next time.

Honolulu Coffee always offers unique and delicious limited items for the Hot Chocolate Festival. This time, I revisited for their 2025 festival special. #093 - Kim's Berry A vegan hot chocolate crafted with rich 70% dark chocolate, creamy oat milk, aromatic strawberry, and fermented Korean gochujang, adding a subtle spice. Paired with a delectable vegan strawberry cookie. This one is the best! First, I could taste the whipped cream on top, which was slightly firmer than other shops'--just how I like it. The freeze-dried strawberry crunch on top was a good match. The hot chocolate itself was perfectly creamy and sweet, with a subtle gochujang spice that wasn't overpowering--just perfect again. It was very delicious! The presentation was so pretty--definitely eye-catching on Instagram. The cookie was good, too! I always enjoy Honolulu Coffee's limited item ideas and unique ingredients. They also offer a variety of regular drinks and baked goods. The ambience is very cozy--perfect for meeting friends or simply enjoying a drink and some food.

I was in need of an afternoon pick me up, so I stopped here because of the high reviews. I ordered a matcha latte and loved how strong the matcha flavor was in it. I'm also a sucker for aesthetic coffee so I appreciated the latte art on it as well. With how strong the matcha flavor was, I expected to be decently caffeinated, however, unfortunately, I felt like the drink barely woke me up. Overall, I'd give taste and aesthetics a 10/10, however, if you're looking to actually be caffeinated, I'd pass on this. The coffee itself is actually pretty large and very aesthetic! I like how bright everything was and the Hawaii theme that they had going on. The baristas here were friendly and our drinks came out pretty quickly. There was plenty of seating when I went and I think that this would be a great place to study or catch up with a friend.

I've had Honolulu Cafe while I was in Oahu, so I was surprised to see there was one in BC when I was looking for some matcha! It was very busy. The line moved fast to order, but the wait time was maybe about 10-15 which wasn't terrible. It was fairly quiet inside when we went, we were there around 10 am or so. My matcha tasted great! Good ratio of matcha to milk and not too frothy. I was quite satisfied, I'd been looking for matcha! I wish they had the menu items like poke bowls like on the island, but that's just a personal wish :)

What a treat to get a piece of Hawaii in Vancouver. They had local flavors and had the Hawaiian vibes. With delightful pastries, small bites, coffee and drinks for all. The place was spacious and clean. Where everywhere had long lanes in the rain they were hustling slinging orders with minimal turnover time. This was perfect for my morning walk, hungry and cold. All the details in the drinks to the cups were absolutely adorable.

Disappointing that today is not my day for coffee. I'm also quite disappointed that service was just barely a sliver above okay. I ordered 2 iced Hawaiian lattes (one with oat milk and one regular), and a Hawaiian cream cold brew. The cold brew was extremely sour, and not what I expected. I hate asking for a redo, but I honestly feel most places would offer to make a different drink for me, but the baristas only offered to add more cream to the cold brew. (No cream will really fix sour in my opinion.) That was a half attempt on their part to make it right. I went ahead and ordered a Hawaiian latte with oat milk and felt this still missed the mark. I took a picture of my friend's Hawaiian latte with oat milk compared to mine. As seen in the image, the colors are different despite being the same drink. There isn't consistency. In the end, one of the baristas did add an extra shot of espresso for me free of charge, but by then, I felt my impression was already colored after having purchased a total of 4 drinks. The place was clean, but I don't see myself coming back.

Honolulu Coffee has the perfect lofi coffee shop vibe. There's chairs and benches of all kinds, a long communal table, and large windows to lounge by, rain or shine. The Hawaiian latte is delicious and you can absolutely taste the macadamia nuts. Whole beans are sold on a shelf next to the register in case you want to brew it at home. The service is speedy and friendly, even during a morning rush, and there's tons of seating if you'd prefer not to stand while waiting for your order.

Coffee bar, not located in a high traffic area, but very busy on a Sunday afternoon, so people are coming here to hang out. It is located within downtown Vancouver, and was within walking distance of our hotel. It has very comfortable seating throughout, and there was a wide variety of ages and ethnicity hanging out. There were only two baristas working, so waiting was mandatory, but one of them prepared my wife's Hawaiian Latte ($6.30) really quickly once the order was placed. Hawaiian = macadamia nut coffee with coconut milk. she really liked it. Unfortunately for me, the free wi-fi refused to work, no matter what I tried. They do sell 100% Kona coffee at the expected high prices.

Cute place with great coffee and açaí bowls. Pastries are a little dry and a bit mid, but overall it's a nice place. Love that you can get a good Kona roast here.

Nice big spacious coffee shop in the heart of downtonwn. Parking here sucks unfortunately. The place looks pretty modern, and has a nice tropical theme thanks to some murals on the wall. Staff are friendly. The coffee is pretty tasty. Not sure how authentic their coffee is, but it's decent.

Spicy hot chocolate? Yes, please! @honolulucoffeeyvr is back with their Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival creations, and this iconic cafe did not disappoint! Kim's Berry - A spicy gochujang strawberry hot chocolate with oat milk & 70% dark chocolate Floral Glow - A citrus guava hot chocolate that's like biting into a juicy chocolate orange Both are served with the softest vegan strawberry & orange almond cookies for the ultimate dunking experience! My personal fav was the Kim's Berry which was so unexpected! The sweet strawberry notes ended with a small kick of heat that was just perfect.

If there is one beverage that I cannot live without right now, it would have to be the iced Hawaiian latte at Honolulu Coffee. I recently visited Gyu-Kaku and this coffee shop caught my eye as I finished my dinner. Where should i begin? Perfectly located just below street level, the cafe sits right where the sun and shade meets so outdoor seating is beyond relaxing and comfortable. The interior design is clean and crisp with the highlight of wooden tables and accents, which makes it perfect for studying or work time alone. Now, on to the drinks themselves: Theres something about Hawaiian made coffee and blends, perhaps the hint of coconut combined with perfect roast. This somewhat hidden coffee shop might be one of the better spots in the immediate area. Very spacious, solid coffee selection, friendly staff, and a relaxing environment. I was visiting in town and only found this place via Yelp right before I left... I would have never seen it from the street. It's on the ground level of an office complex and set well off from Nelson Street. It's probably an oasis of sorts for the business staff and nearby residents. I wish I had known about this place sooner before I had to leave town. I would have certainly dropped in more often. read more

I got an açai bowl and latte with oat milk at this location. For a $13 açai bowl, I expected a much larger portion. It was approximately 0.5 cups of smoothie, with probably an entire cup of granola on top, and a half of a sliced banana. It was very clearly not made to order as when I got there they pulled it out of a freezer and handed it to me - also the smoothie portion it's self tasted really icy and watered down, which leads me to believe it wasn't even made with fresh fruit! For the latte, they only started making it when I arrived to pick it up and I had to wait for it to be made, even though the cafe was mostly empty. Why offer pick up orders if you're just going to wait for me to get there to remind you of my order to start making it? Also it was the tiniest latte I've ever seen - think Starbucks child size, for $7.50. It tasted good. Overall overpriced and not great,won't be back. read more

Their hawaiian latte was AMAZINGGGGGG!!!!!! It was coconuty but not too overpowering. Of course, it's sweeter than a normal latte but if you want something different, this is it. I loved everything here. Their matcha mousse was also really good. Yes, they're pricey here but worth it! Also, everyone is really nice here. Great place overall. They serve really good coffee. Their espresso is as good as one of those italian shops you find in New York. The egg sandwiches are great as well. Very well made and they use good ingredients. I do think their price is a bit too high, but the shop was full, so ppl are willing to pay. It was my first time and I would come back now and then, but not every weekend given its price. read more

I should've thank to the girl at the till, she's helped me a lot for making my choice about what should i drink with her smile and kindness. I have to say I was super excited to see HC open in Vancouver. I even woke up extra early to grab a latte before work. Yes, I love Kona coffee that much. Layout: Pretty decent Sq. footage I think it's even larger in size than the handful of locations I have been to in Hawaii. I liked the clean lines and decor. Order: I purchased a Hawaii latte and I was a bit disappointed, it was JUST too sweet. However the staff were awesome and made me a new plain latte. The latte was delicious and I didn't need to mask an bitterness with sugar. I didn't order any baked good but I wish I had.. I will return for another visit in the not too distant future. Covid has been used as an excuse by quite a few businesses. Sadly, Honolulu Coffee is one of them. Was really looking forward to lunch and coffee here with a friend. I understand they've raised prices (a lot!), but so few of their items are available, and they've increased their profit margins by no longer using real plates, cutlery, cups etc. This is in contrast to WONDERFUL places like Faubourg that have kept the standards of their service offering very high, and beautifully presented, with reasonable prices, and consequently have a loyal following. The staff at Honolulu was nice, but a bit checked out and bewildered that a customer would the cakes and other foods Honolulu used to take the trouble to offer. Disappointed! read more

A cute Café right below our airbnb. The staff were very friendly, the coffee superb (had the Hawaiian Latte), and the cranberry white chocolate macadamian scones were bomb! I ordered 2 more for the road trip back to Seattle. Every corner of this Café was certainly instagram worthy!! And the food and drinks were definitely a treat! So glad I came across this place before heading back to the states. read more

We had their Acai beery bowl, very delicious and there is plenty of room to sit down and relax. Great layout for the coffee shop. Overall, had a good experience and servers were polite and smiled. I never tried their drinks but will next time! read more

Decided to check out this coffee shop that was near where I was staying in Vancouver. There's a good reason this place has such high reviews! I tried the Hawaiian latte which was absolutely phenomenal. I also had the açai bowl for breakfast which was also great. I really loved the atmosphere and will most definitely return. read more

Just walked by to get coffee since it was across the street from our hotel, but what a find! Their Hawaiian latte was so tasty!!! We ended going back three straight mornings to start our day. Space is large, clean, and they even have some outdoor tables. I didn't eat, but they had some Hawaiian-inspired snacks (i.e. lilikoi bread). read more

LOVED this place!! I was in the mood to try a new coffee place and this place was perfect. I had a cold brew coffee and an açai bowl, and while I found the açai bowl a bit too small for its price ($8), still delicious otherwise. The atmosphere of the place was so cute, and my friend and I spent 30 minutes just taking pictures! Would definitely come back. read more

This was the worst experience from Honolulu today. My friend ordered an ice latte without ice and ended up a latte with ice. She then asked for a remake and they did a new drink with an only 2/3 filled coffee cup. She went back to request for a top up but they said no to her. Weird! read more

Wonderful new addition just across from the law courts dt and where the old Urban Well was once located (I am going way back here). Great Hawaiian coffee, pastries that look delectable and loads of areas to sit both in and out. It's much bigger than the originals in Hawaii, probably because real estate is even more costly there which is actually hard to believe at this moment in time. While it's almost too big to be considered warm and welcoming and the prices are just as steep as Hawaii, it would still make my rotation if I was a regular in this area. Bags of beans are as costly as my other new Hawaiian discovery, Islands in White Rock, but since Hawaii is one of the most challenging places in the world to grow coffee, due to the comparably colder climate, it's to be expected. I ordered a cappuccino, my new go-to drink and it was quite tasty. I loved the lime and white decor here and the chairs outside were surprisingly comfy. Give it a shot when visiting or running errands in the area. read more

First noticed this place in July when I went to Gyu Kaku after the movies. Didn't think much of it until I saw post on IG about their Hawaiian Latte and since then I wanted to come back. Sadly, they close at 7pm on weekday, so I decided to make a trip here on the weekend instead. For approximately $6 (large), you get as much coffee as you would from a starbucks venti. Whipped cream is complimentary if you like. I did not like nor dislike this drink. It definitely is unique as you taste quite a bit of the nutty flavours and less of the coffee. I came around 5pm and it was packed with students- a bit hard to find seatings unless you and they don't mind sharing. The marble top of the table I sat at was shaking so I left fairly quickly. Don't want to end up paying for more than just a latte. read more

I saw this reviewed on the front page of yelp and decided to book mark this for future reference on August 20, 2016. I appreciate that this place closes at 7pm as it gave me a chance to work on a client portfolio as we have a major meeting with a big name client for 2017 contract negotiations. I loved the atmosphere which was relaxing and encouraged some creativity with my outline proposal. Firstly the manager was awesome and she had an immediate warm greeting the minute I walked in. I really needed that as I was just having a bad day dealing with a-holes. She recommended the Hawaiian latte. What is a Hawaiian latte? It's a regular latte with a shot of pineapple and macadamia nut syrup. She didn't lie when she said that it was addicting. My only mistake was not ordering decafe cause now I am way too wired that I will be up all night working on the books. read more

Honolulu Coffee opened its first North American location (Hawaii is considered a part of Oceania) in Vancouver taking over the old Relish pub/nightclub next door to Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ. Honolulu's other locations outside of Hawaii include Japan, Guam, and China. They serve their familiar Kona and Maui coffees with a special menu of drinks with the usual espresso fare. Their signature drink, the Hawaiian Latte (iced version, above), is made with their trademark Lokahi espresso, coconut syrup, and macadamia nut syrup (sans whipped cream here). It's a light but refreshing drink with some appealing tropical flavours. Honolulu Coffee offers a fun, tropical, and international feel to Vancouver's more serious coffee scene with a special but inviting take on coffee needs. read more

I only had their brew coffee here and ice coffee during the summer. My first Honolulu coffee was in Maui, Hawaii and was pretty roasted and delicious. I was excited to see this open in Vancouver . Best cold brew in town also buy 10 get 1 free! I have read all the glowing reviews before I went, and I have to say I was VERY happy with their cold brew! The shop itself is very open and spacious, very different from the other shops. If you are in the area please try it! read more

Love Hawaii and this place brought back good memories. The Hawaiian frosty was nutty as promised. I can still taste the macadamia and coconut flavours on my tongue. I also bought some island inspired pastries which I can't wait to try (lillikoi loaf and Mac chocolate chip cookie). I really enjoyed watching the barista training another person on how to pour a proper cup of coffee. Her passion for coffee really shined. Will be back but too bad it's located in such a low traffic area as I'm sure it would do well near the beach or on Robson. read more

Great coffee shop just 1/2 block from the Sheraton Wall Centre. Delicious Hawaiian Latte, their most popular drink with coconut and macadamia nut syrups, and fresh brewed 100% Kona coffee. Specialty pour overs available. Several varieties of whole beans for sale. Pastries, too. Definitely worth the stop. read more

I really enjoy this place; the atmosphere is very spacious and enjoyable, and the coffee is good. But when I ordered four coffees the cashier only stamped my punch card once (even though it clearly said one stamp per coffee purchased). It's a tiny detail but pretty annoying. The entire point of a punch card is to cultivate brand loyalty! Why even offer it if you're going to make your customers feel slighted? -_- read more

Honolulu is like our 2nd home. We were so excited to hear that we could actually have a taste of Kona in our backyard. I don't think you'll receive the same feeling if u were actually in Honolulu. My friend loves strong coffee so of course we had to go here. I don't drink coffee but was pleasantly surprised by their tea selection. I ordered while we waited to pay and my tea was brought to me promptly and the server even gave me the steeping directions on a cute little card! My friend ordered her pour over coffee and the girl serving her remembered her from the first time she went a few days before. All in all great atmosphere, great tea/coffee (and I will for sure be back to try the desserts), and fantastic service! read more

This review is only 1 star since my acai bowl fell and spilled on the floor and I was asked to pay for a new one. The bowl fell just since it was placed on a low round table with metal round base. I placed my foot on the base and the table went off balance and the bowl smashed on the floor. I would expect them to make me a new one and not ask me yo lay extra $17. read more
