I was driving passed this place during the pandemic when things were slowly opening, I believe back around June 2020, I called and I was lucky enough to get an appointment for a pedicure. I met Daisy who I was so happy with, I go religiously every 2 weeks for my pedicure. She is very attentive never disappoints. Kelly is the new owner, she is so friendly and welcoming but I have to say I love her respect for her employees, she's always saying positive things about their work and means it!! Went to Totowa Nails for the first time since quarantine. I believe they are under new ownership. My experience was fantastic!!! I made an appointment ahead of time, Daisy did my pedicure and gel manicure. She was so attentive, friendly and overall really really good. The place is bright, white and extremely clean. The new owner Kelly is extremely unprofessional. Since Julie has left I can honestly say things have never been the same . Daisy is the only manicurist at the salon who I would recommend. She is friendly, kind , professional, and very attentive . My review is in no way a reflection of her . If you are looking for nothing more than a manicure or pedicure please go to her . On my most recent trip I wanted a new set of acrylic/ tips on my nails . Kelly said Daisy could not do this so she would be doing it . She then proceeded to try an upsell me another service saying it was better . I asked if I could see some examples before saying yes . She said she has no examples and that "I should trust her". She then said "acrylic was old and nobody did that anymore on their nails " . Nevertheless , I said let's continue with the acrylic . When I showed her the shape I wanted she said she could do it . Then when I told her it didn't look correct she said "she is not a robot and can not do it perfect " . I then saw a nail color example in the salon from the nail designs and colors she told me to choose from . I asked if she could do a design I saw in the examples she provided me and she then said " We don't have time to do that because we look so long with the shape". She is not only rude but unprofessional . I plan on never returning . I have also seen that they are cutting corners and no longer using new utensils for each persons pedicure (this is gross ) . Stay away from this place, well it depends on who you get. The lady that did my nails was horrible, she had blonde hair and long green nails, wish I knew her name but i was told she is one of the two that does gel manicures. I am literally still (10 pm ) in pain from my pedicure this afternoon (3 pm). She cut my skin every chance she had. She did not know how to even file my nails or even use the file and was in a rush and i don't even understand why since there was only one other person there besides my husband, my daughter and I. Luckily, they had two much better ladies taking care of them (young girl and older lady were great). I have been doing my pedicures since i was 14 and you get some that arent great but never ever ever have i had such a painful pedicure, to the point where i didn't even finish or put color on them. Business hasn't been the same since Julie left. There have been several owners since then. The current one is quite unprofessional. She raised the prices without any warning and can't seem to keep to her appts. Yesterday, I waited 20 minutes to get my nails done and then when she was done she asked me to come back because they had no one to do my pedicure at that time. I said absolutely not! I had an appointment for 1pm . I got there on time. They asked me if i could wait until 2:30. My appointment was for acrylics if that means anything to you. Then they tell me that they don't have acrylics and to come back another day. My friend was getting her nails done so i waited. I really like this place. Its fairly priced... Gels for $25 and Reg Pedi for $17. I have been to places where I pay more for gels and they just don't come out clean (like 5 year old painted them on)... This Lady is fast and does a neat job. Place could be cleaner but it isn't dirty. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon weekly since it opened. Julie the owner is the best nail tech there and she is the best eyebrow person I have ever been to.
