First I had an aging dog, then I rescued a kitten, and now I have a puppy: at every stage, these folks have given a great advice. I want to give a specific shout out to April for always being so kind. She was just the hand I needed written times. And their prices are reasonable too!

Super thrilled to have given Mini Pet Mart another shot. Visited another location and it was…read moresomewhat dreary, not helpful and smelled of cigerettes. This particular store however, clean- bright- smells good and pro staff that are smart, fast and friendly. Makes the shopping experience a 10! I'm thrilled I can find everything I need in one place. I'm a loyal customer now. Have 4 picky diva cats, one happy red heeler pup- they sell all quality food for tight budgets all the way to top shelf needs. I'm not sure if they have prescription diet though, maybe call before. Prices are competitive if not sometimes a tad bit more but they offer a punch card. Honestly, even if they didn't offer that, I'd gladly pay the small difference to shop where you feel they care about your experience and time. Thank you MPM for giving me a place to go and get away from ..... :) Side note: The location is a bit of a puzzle at first for entry and depart. On a fast street with blind corner, once you figure it out though, it's not an issue.

I have been going to the Nautilus for my tropical fish for at least 14 years. In a market in which…read morethere used to be several small, locally-owned fish stores, this is now one of only two left and I do not visit the others anymore. Maybe at some point I will review them to say why, but for now, let's focus on why I like this place. Pros: ===================== -This is a fish store, not a pet store. You won't find dog poop bags as one reviewer was searching for, nor will you find lizards, or kittens... you get the point. You will get an owner that knows something about fish. -Because he knows about fish, you can trust his advice and input. -If you want a particular plant, or fish, he can probably get it for you. And, unlike one of his competitors, he actually follows through. -His prices are very, very fair for his stock. The importance of this in a market increasingly dominated by big box pet store cannot be overstated. -I have never gotten a fish disease from his store. I cannot say the same for either big box chain. Cons: ====================== -This is a small owner/operator business. He has faced a lot of challenges since COVID and his stock is not what it once was. But this could change if hobbyists like me stick with the fish store in our community. -There is one person, the owner, doing almost everything on the at least 50 tanks he has running. Yes, I do see an occasional dead fish, but I can say the same of pretty much every fish store I have been in. And they all had multiple employees. In the final analysis this is my go to fish store. If you are a FISH person, rather than a show tank person - or just a casual pet person, it should be yours too.

Thank goodness I'm not in a wheelchair, but for those that are, be aware of that. When we got in the store, we noticed it is very disorganized and was cluttered. It also didn't have a very pleasant odor. We went in specifically looking for clothes and bows for my dog, but sadly they had a very small section and everything was disorganized, no bows either(which was fine). I only ended up getting a nylabone and flea meds for my cat. When we got up to the register line, there was only one cashier for a line of about 10 people, he didn't call for an extra clerk. Maybe he couldn't, but the store had several other employees doing random stuff, or just walking around. The cashier was very nice though and didn't seem stressed or overwhelmed. The only reason I gave the store 2 stars is because of the cashier and his professional composure. He greeted us when we got to the register and said have a nice day upon leaving the store. Unfortunately I do not recommend this store as it's very disorganized, cluttered and the lack of another clerk to help with the long line.

I went back later in the day around 8pm to get an alternate dog food, and decided to look at the birds again. Both larger birds were in the same exact position, food and water untouched. So if you want to support animal cruelty, head on down to your local PetCo and buy a neglected, sickly, depressed bird for the low price of $799.99. Fish tanks full of dead floating fish too if interested. You will also not find "in stock" items, but that seems less important than caring for your "products".
