I LOVE THIS CREW. I hate bugs. Living in Texas means bugs. Big bugs. Crickets, roaches, spiders, scorpions, fire ants. I don't love putting poison in my house and in my yard because I have dogs but after living in a home that backs up to a green belt I don't have much choice. I have called them to come back out multiple times to clean up areas where we've had problems and they ROCK. They show up on time, every time, and they tackle the bugs. Judging by the bug graveyard in our driveway and back patio they do awesome work. I usually walk out dogs a full week outside of our yard post-treatment just to be safe. I hate the poison but I can see the critters aren't around after they visit. Their phone team is excellent and Eddie is our usual guy and he's fabulous. If you have a pest problem call them, they do great work. read more

Called and got someone to our home a couple days later. Allan was on time, friendly and very patient explaining the process and what we should expect, as well as giving advice on how to prevent a recurrance of those ants getting in the home. So far, so good and there are no pests in or around our home. The payment plan was resonable for the peace of mind we get of not having pests as neighbors LOL! The 4th day I called their corporate office in Dallas for help with service. I think a lot depends on who does service, but I've had service by both Edgar for initial and Alexis for continuous - and I have been super pleased with the incredible responsiveness of each of them. We just purchased a home and it came with HomeTeam built into the walls, so i figured it would be the service to go with for our needs. I was going to wait until everything was settled to give them a call, but then I saw a roach. I called immediately and they were able to get a tech there the next day. Beth is the absolute best, she is knowledgeable, professional, and a fantastic person to talk to. She sprayed the outside of my house and treated the yard for fire ants. I was really pleased with the service HomeTeam provided and look forward to our quarterly visits from Beth. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I received a quick response from Home team when I reached out about ant issues. They were at my home within a few days to begin treatment. We set up an ongoing schedule to keep pests at bay, which I'm happy with. They mentioned needing to do a second treatment on my lawn within 30 days from the initial treatment to prevent ants and I honestly don't think they came back out. I received a solicitation call from them about a month out from my first treatment asking me to consider beginning other ongoing pest control for termites. I took the opportunity to ask about the second ant treatment and the caller said they'd have someone connect with me soon to schedule it. That call never came. I can't say that they didn't just come and treat without my knowledge but I do know that I was never contacted to confirm it happening. read more

I've been super disappointed from start to finish. I only signed up with HomeTeam because they have a partnership with my home builder David Weekley, but they have been horrible. The original sales person told me one thing, but once I signed she denied it. They show up without making an appointment (this is their standard practice, they have never reached out to me to schedule an appointment after 3 visits). Then when I need to reschedule, they threatened to void my warranty if I don't reschedule within a week of the original date! The only good thing is the practitioner that came each time seemed to be very experienced. read more

Update: after this review, the company called and offered a refund, for which I am waiting on the check. When I asked them about who else to contact about killing cricket hunter wasps, they went on and on offering causes that were out of their control, how rare they were to have, and when pressed, stated that there isn't any way they can be killed, only blocked. Which I don't think is true, from what I'm have read elsewhere, from other people who have had them, and found a company to exterminate them. But that point would have saved a LOT of time, both mine and theirs, had they just said that when I called for the original appt. I've used HomeTeam for 10 years and always had good service. Office staff is nice, the service technicians are always nice and courteous. They would come in between my quarterly service to spray for fire ants. I called a couple of days ago to have them come and spray for fire ants in two places. First of all, the woman who answered the phone practically wanted to fight with me telling me that they could not come out in a service month. My service was 3 weeks away. So I called back asked to talk with the manager. I talked with him, he was already very defensive and explained the same thing that they have never come out in a service month to spray for fire ants. This is not true as I've had the service techs out at all times. So again, why not change my service date one week out and come and spray now? I said well I would probably cancel he got really pissed and said WELL, do you want me to cancel it now, instead of trying to be nice and explain or this solve this issue so the customer -me is happy. Canceled the service today. I will not put up with rude office managers or rude receptionists. read more

I reached out to Home Team first because they have a partnership with our builder. Upon setting up service I noticed that the paperwork stated business had been initiated via a door knock. That was my first indication that there could be problems. I went ahead and set up the appointment- the technician never showed. I reached out to the sales representative G and no response. Another company came by a couple days later offering more adequate services. I immediately contacted the home office of home team and canceled, then followed with reaching out to the sales guy G - He then responded, saying there was a glitch in scheduling and asked if there was anything else he could do to change my mind. Services had already been canceled and I had moved on. Today I received a text stating that there was an appointment scheduled for Monday. I immediately called the home office and spoke with Tawny who answered the phone, and then she referred me to the manager Joe. Joe was con condescending and rude. He dismissed my concerns and stated that his sales rep told him that he spoke to me this morning and that I gave the ok. This is 100% untrue. These types of deceptive practices are unacceptable and I absolutely would not recommend utilizing their service based on a flyer being placed in your closing packet. read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Think twice before going with this pest control service as the effectiveness of their service is INEFFECTIVE. At least 3 fire ant mounds have surfaced since the spraying just a couple of weeks ago. Sure they warrantee their service but hey bother when just another dose of poorly placed potion will be put out. The first technician we had last summer was great and very through and we never had a problem with pests. But since splitting the workforce up between San Antonio and Kyle, service has went down hill. Not to mention upon calling to cancel service, the receptionist was a real treat to work with. I guess they have given up on customer retention. BYE. read more

The ease of their service! their timeliness. The service is basically a no-stress thing. I get an email that they're coming soon if it's not a good day I call or email them back they reschedule. I get an email when it's done. They leave a bill and I pay it over the phone or I think I can pay it online. Love it. Easy to schedule and I have been told it's easy to cancel the entire service if I need to. But I don't see myself doing that anytime soon. read more

I'm a couple of weeks out from my first service. The only spiders or cockroaches I've seen since my home being treated are dead ones outside on the perimeter of the house. I had spiders, cockroaches and ants inside and haven't seen any since. Had seen one scorpion inside which finally prompted me to call. The process itself covered all areas we were concerned about and we are so far satisfied with the results(with it being within the 2 week wait period). I have been a customer since we bought our new home 4 years ago. We began having an issue with ants inside and I called them to come out for an additional visit. Even though the schedule was full, I managed to have a tech at my house within an hour of calling! I very much appreciate customer service and willingness to work in customers who have an issue! We typically don't have issues with bugs with the quarterly service, just apparently ants are getting desperate and invading homes in the neighborhood looking for water. read more

Friendly, professional folks from HomeTeam. Our original technician moved on to another position which was a bummer; he was superb. But the new guy seems every bit as sharp. That, plus the fact that I RARELY see a bug anywhere near my house are why I would absolutely endorse their services. On top of that, we live in a home that was built with "pest tubes" and this is the local office for that service. If you have pest tubes, you'd really be making a mistake if you didn't take advantage of them; the Home Team service cost no more than other pest control, yet they take care of whatever magic is necessary to service the pest tubes, too. I would give a 10 but I feel the overall cost is a bit high and because we did not necessarily get an opportunity to select any service provider since our new home was already outfitted with Home Team's hardware. This is one of the few Company's that have compassion along with their professionalism and quality in service. We used a different company for over 13 years. We weren't satisfied at all with the customer service and the fact they wouldn't show up, but we didn't know we could switch. When Our daughter built their house they used home team pest defense. I called and asked the company if they could service our home. They said they could. Home Team has been our go-to service for 3 years and we couldn't be more pleased. We live in a "rocky" area and of course there are scorpions and bugs, but with our service, they are not many moving very fast & soon dead. With the rains come ant hills, but with HT's use of granules there is a better line of defense. The tech is always professional and attentive to our needs and to any problems mentioned and the Kyle office is just as courteous as SA was. We do recommend HT to anyone new in our area & to others not pleased with their own service. read more
