Baked haddock
Kim L.

Went in for lunch on a sunday, John was our waiter and he was great! Had drinks , salads and for my meal i had Filet Oscar! Was lil dry but other wise very good, the bernaise sauce made it perfect! Husband had baked haddock he said it was good! Sat in the dinning room area with a fireplace.

Tavern

Food was great! Everything was hot and and tasty ! Highly recommend seafood fettuccine or any pasta dish as well as the baked stuffed haddock or BBQ chicken and ribs. One of the only places that offers steak/chicken/veal/salmon oscar dishes! Our service was great communicated about the wait times and specials and had great suggestions! The ambiance was a little dark, but won't discourage us from coming back soon and often! Definitely worth checking out stop by to see their new tavern and outside bar! Thanks especially to our server Cameron for taking care of us and all his knowledge about the history of the restaurant and their multiple locations! P.S Don't forget to try their yummy crème brûlée for dessert!

Don't recommend. Convenient location considering nothing else around. Had a bad experience with management. Food was good.

Great food and most importantly VERY allergy friendly. I have celiac disease and can eat safely and confidently there. Highly recommend.

Randy's PitStop Diner - French Toast

On the Tuesday morning after Labor Day we brought my adult daughter with us to Randy's PitStop…read moreDiner (she had not been before). We got the same great service as if they hadn't just had a busy holiday weekend, except they were out if chorizo. We don't eat chorizo anyway, so no matter. I tried something new, the ham, turkey, and cheese sandwich on french toast! Yum!! My daughter got the same and enjoyed it too. We especially loved the deep fried potatoes. My husband got his favorite, corned beef hash. We'll be back!

On our way back to Hampton after a Gunstock weekend, I stopped at Randy's with my son. The…read morewaitperson was very matter of fact, but that's fine. We were there for the promise of a fantastic breakfast. The menu is manageable, lots of choices~all pitstop themed~ but not so many that it was a chore to choose. I decided on a 3 egg swiss and mushroom omelette. It was explained that toast was extra, which isn't the norm, at least in my experience. But I dove in and ordered Rye. My Son ordered 2eggs over easy, the potatoes (not the deep fried version), bacon, ham, sausage and 2 pancakes. This breakfast seemed to include a toast option, for those who are keeping score. The food was spectacular. Very well done, simply, and with no frills save for a killer playlist that included Bittersweet Symphony. You don't often find yourself sitting at a counter, eating breakfast with special toast and hear The Verve. Worth a mention. The service was crisp, thorough and we did get a lovely smile and thank you as we checked out. But at the end of it all, the food is, or should be the star. And it was.

The Statesman City Diner briefly opened in September 2025 in Downtown Manchester on Elm Street,…read moreformer Wild Orchid Bakery and Lala's Hungarian Pastry space. They serve traditional American diner fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also have a coffee/espresso counter with bakery goods and offers cocktails and mocktails. There is also an outside French fries pickup window on the Cat Alley side of the building, which was already opened for a few weeks. The dining space has rows of tables and counter seating and 4 flatscreen TVs in the front. I stopped by the Statesman City Diner on opening day for an early morning breakfast. There is ample free street parking before 8am in front of the diner. The place just opened for business as the staff was still learning things like the getting familiar with the Toast POS system and handheld portable ordering devices. I was able to seat myself at a table and was given a breakfast menu to look over. I requested an ice water and decided on the Jr. Statesman Open Face Salmon Omelette ($15 plus tax) with 3 way homefries and raisin toast. The food arrived to my table in about 20 minutes after ordering. The omelette was a folded firm scrambled egg with salmon (lox) and ricotta cheese. The 3 way homefries were seasoned and grilled with yellow potatoes, blue potatoes, and sweet potatoes. The buttered raisin toast had a nice sugar coating. The portion size was good, taste of food was good, but the omelette and homefries were not very hot. I did request a to-go box for half the omelette and toast so I could eat later at work. The check with Toast QR code was presented which was $16.28 with tax and before tip. Overall, since the place is very new, the staff (front & back) is on a learning curve with regards to the Toast ordering system (it was offline for a bit), speed of service, and temperature of the food. They are still working things out and may be closed several days at a time.

This cute little diner serves up homecooked breakfast and lunch fare in Alton Bay. The prices here are very reasonable, most entrees $5-$12, a bargain in a very touristy area. The place is very cramped and cozy with 5 booths and 11 stools at the lunch counter, kitchen in the back. I stopped in here recently for lunch during the week on a Tuesday since I know many places in Alton Bay can get crazy busy on the weekends. I sat up at the lunch counter for prompt service. Also, the place was moderately busy during weekday lunch with all booths occupied. I ordered a weekday special, which was a Steak Tip Sub served with hand cut shoestring fries and soft drink (Coke fountain drinks) for only $7.50 plus tax. My food arrive hot in about 10 minutes. The steak tip sub was filled with tender pieces of grilled steak (cooked to my liking) and smothered with American cheese, grilled peppers and onions on a toasted firm hoagie roll. The handcut shoestring fries were golden and lightly salted. I took my time to enjoy my lunch and planning out my day on the lake. The lunch check with tax and before tip was $8.18. Overall, an excellent lunch at a very reasonable price with very prompt service, a quick kitchen operation and one waitress taking care of all booths and the lunch counter.
