    Night view from the bar.

Had my birthday dinner last night. Sat outdoors. Started out well, but started raining. Our server took care of us. Made a spot at the bar for us. Food was great. Took a while to come out but that was fine for quality food.

After living in Nh for 4 years, I finally made it to the Ledge Water Steak House. I went 3 times in 3 weeks and after 3 straight 5 star experiences, it became evident that sharing the positivity in Yelp was past due. Where to begin? Well, the drive up from the road through the curvy driveway, steel gates, and to the parking lot is memorable to say the least. The walk in is pleasant and the hosts and staff as a whole have been very pleasant and welcoming. My first two times, dining solo, I went to the bar directly. My third time dining, celebrating my fathers birthday, we sat out on the patio. White tablecloths. Gorgeous views of Newfound Lake and the sunset. Cocktails have been super every time. The bartenders know what they're doing and they do it with skill and precision. My parents are martini drinkers - and they were please with both of their drinks and the fact that the dirty ice cubes came in a rocks glass on the side to their martini. Now for the food: I really enjoyed the scallops en bacon appetizer - which is an upscale take on scallops wrapped in bacon, with a delicious light sauce and thick cut bacon. I also enjoyed the anchovies atop my Caesar salad (why don't more places offer this?!) My favorite meal - which takes me back to family dinners at a famous restaurant in Boston Seaport called "Jimmy's Harborside" which closed about 15 years ago after a century in business - is the baked stuff shrimp with lemon sherry sauce. The stuffing is absolutely delectable - the combination of flavors is something I daydream about more often than I'd like to admit. The shrimp are very well sized, and prepared in such a way with the stuffing that simply the action of cutting with a fork and knife puts a smile on my face immediately. Lemon + Stuffing + Shrimp + Sauce = amaaazing flavor. Lastly - I must mention the desserts - which are offered on a hand written menu (a great sign) with dozens of choices to pick from. Slices of cake were the size of my face (not kidding!) and is guaranteed to be even tastier when you have some for leftovers with coffee the next morning ... reminiscing over the amazing dinner from the night before. Thank you to the entire team at Ledge Water - from front of house to those behind the scenes. The hard work that you all put in truly shines through to the guests experience. I'll be back - often! :-)

Good service, give time for the superb steak, make a reservation, and note this place is seasonal, wonderful views and cocktails too.

Ok the view is always amazing from the main deck but was very disappointed this time around in the food. Yes quality was good as usual but most of our party (13) got cold or luke warm steaks. Did not want to take risk of sending back 8 meals to get hot as would've cooked them longer and that would cancel out how we wanted them cooked. We've been here before with a large party and meals were hot. Service was good. We always expect a wait for food here so no complaints! We did ask for bread as it wasn't offered as usual. Nice place to treat yourself.

Our first time at Ledge Water. We sat inside but next to the window so we had a great view. Our waitress was good. Our drinks came super quick. We both got a mixed drink and then a glass of wine with dinner. The truffle oil artichokes for an app was Delicious! Our meals took a little longer than expected but that was ok because, I personally don't like it when I feel rushed out of a Restaurant. I like to enjoy my meal and company I'm dining with. Our waitress did apologize For the wait on our meals but when they came out they were delicious. Pictures below

    The s'mores cake was fabulous!!

What used to be a strong, popular but dated physical facility was transformed into a modern, efficient, welcoming and even elegant venue serving both skiers/riders and the general public. We came over to ski Tenney Mountain during one of the coldest days of the year. Below zero weather, wind, but the snow was pure fluff. And despite the slow lifts, the skiing was superb. Still, six runs in that temperature with a stiff wind took the energy out of me. That's when the Backcountry Bar and Grill came through with a superb Irish Coffee that allowed me to be back after thawing out, with new energy and desire to ski. We then came over here for an early Apre Ski. Five people had superb brews, superb Ultimate Grilled Cheese, awesome Chicken Sandwich. And a Backcountry Pulled Pork with an Apple bourbon barbecue sauce that had me licking my fingers. The bartender was the best I've seen in New England. We will be back because Tenney is one awesome ski mountain and because this wonderful venue makes it complete for customer experience.

What used to be a sketchy area is now filled with boutique shops, bustling businesses of tech and industry, arts, culture, and restaurants. One such upscale craft cocktail bar is Wolf Tree. If you didn't know it, you might feel as if you'd stepped into a hipster cocktail lounge in Brooklyn as you walk into Wolf Tree. They offer a variety of playful and inventive drinks. My friend was able to get a virgin cocktail but I just wish they had more than one single cocktail on the menu with vodka. With my choices somewhat limited, I went with a drink called "Friday I'm In Love": vodka, citrus, strawberry, mint, and bubbles. It looked beautiful when it arrived to the table and was a palate pleaser with sour, sweet, and minty flavors. They have weekly specials, classic-type cocktails, and what they call "happy meals" - a beer and shot combination. Don't fear, though, they still have Budweiser, Bud Lite, Miller High Life, and other draft beers for those feeling more traditional Upper Valley. We also ordered one of their charcuterie boards that featured local selections of cheese and meats, olives, pickled vegetables, cured mustards, and a baguette. A great selection but like most of Wolf Tree, a little on the expensive side. Overall I enjoyed my first trip to Wolf Tree and I'm glad hip places like this exist in the Upper Valley.

The interior and the cocktail menu reminded me of the cocktail bars that I frequent in NYC. It's quite cute, dimly lit. I think it's a great place for a date. I enjoyed the Night Vision. It's a rum based drink with carrot, ginger and pineapple juices as well as sesame. My friends got the Knife Fight which was a bourbon based drink with lemon ginger pineapple. Tasted like a gingery whiskey sour. If I'm in town again I'll stop by and try something else. Not sure if this is normal or if their AC was broken but it was super hot inside.
