I expected more from the menu, perhaps I ordered the wrong items. It was good just not amazing as I expected. The hash did not blend together as much as I thought it would. All flavors were delicious seperately but not together. The pancake I ordered because the waiter hyped up the homemade syrup. It was good but just a pancake and a honey like syrup. The building is nice and decor is nice. The service was fantastic.

Came here today for brunch at Homestead Kitchen & Bar and oh boy, did it hit the spot! I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We decided to do a little mix-and-match with the sides to curate our own version of the classic breakfast. Ended up with 2 scrambled eggs, 3 sunny side up eggs, hash browns, bacon (extra crispy, just how I like it), breakfast sausage, and a single buttermilk pancake. Every bite was on point--the eggs were cooked to perfection, the hash browns had that perfect crisp, and the pancake was chef's kiss... the perfect sweet treat to round it all out. The vibe was just as good as the food. It was a Sunday brunch and the place was popping. Fun, busy environment with lots of energy--that's how you know it's a good spot. Despite the crowd, our waiter was super helpful and attentive, especially with our big party. If you're craving a lively brunch spot with great food, Homestead Kitchen & Bar is a winner. Definitely coming back!

The food is amazing with big portions and the place is great for brunch. The ambiance and location is nice! The food taste good and the service is good. They where able to accommodate more people for me dispite it being busy. I had the Benedict eggs with crawfish on top with hashbrowns. Everything tasted amazing! The view and the vibe there was nice. I will definitely be back!

In town for a wedding...saw this place on Yelp. Interesting menu...we tried the crawfish appetizer. It was good, flavorful..bread base very fresh, potion was too big for two people. I had chicken fried steak, meh, I've had much better. Needs more seasoning in the coating...asparagus was great...they cook it perfectly, and trim the stalks so you can eat the whole veg. Nice touch!! Wife had the brisket sandwich. Nothing special. The blueberry bread pudding was good. Hit the spot. I think I'll come back for breakfast. I guess there's a reason the dining room had only one other table when we walked in...

Went for brunch with my sister on a Saturday around 1pm. The place was packed and super noisy. 26 min wait for a table which wasn't too bad since the place was so busy. Seems to slow down around 2-3pm. I started off ordering a horchata cocktail which I sent back because it was too sweet and didn't not taste like horchata. Tasted like a vanilla milkshake with cinnamon on top. The pancake flight was decent. The pita colada was the best, then the chocolate, and the blueberry as just ok. They got the order wrong and gave us two blueberry pancakes at first. I ordered the tex mex eggs Benedict which was really good.. 4/5. The reason for a 3 is because the service was HORRIBLE. By far, the worst service I've had in a while. Even when the place slowed down the service was horrible. The waiter even passed by several times after we got our food and didn't check on us. I waited for a while then asked another person to get us ketchup. I feed my son since he didn't have a fork. The food was good, but based on the service alone I won't be back unless I was craving it.

Tried out this place for the first time for Sunday brunch. Arrived at around 11 am and it was a 30 minute wait for a table of 2. It's a nice place to bring your kiddos if the weather is nice outside. Plenty of space in the patio area for strollers. As for food, I got an omelet w/ hash browns. It was pretty good and the portions sizes are definitely generous.

This place is always a good choice! The ambience is great, you're near other businesses and can go out to walk the trail after a filling meal with your loved ones. The staff is always so kind and helpful and the facility is quite clean from what we have access to! Our go-to meal is the Chilaquiles Verde $18. The fried corn tortillas, spicy salsa verde with the two sunny side up eggs are beyond what my palate can express at the moment. It is topped off with cream Fresca, queso fresco, cilantro and a gracious serving of their slow-cooked carnitas. The serving is worth sharing but I don't recommend it. However, one dish that's disappointing has been the Southern Fried Chicken. It's smart to pair it with their Chipotle Aioli because it carries the chicken more than it should. Otherwise, the chicken batter is quite underwhelming.

Back in Houston, back at Homestead. This place was busy as ever! We were lucky to get a table fairly quickly thanks to being one of the smaller groups arriving. The food was as good as ever. I need to take a second to comment on how MASSIVE the pancake was! It felt like they were throwing us a challenge. The sauces that came with the beignets complemented them so greatly. I was somewhat disappointed by the crab cake. It didn't have as much flavor as I was hoping for.

Turkey sausage - it was very good and this is ONE side order.

We will be coming back for breakfast. They open early which we love to beat the crowds. Also good $8 mimosa; color was on point. All the food was seasoned and well presented.

Breakfast tacos with a side of fruit

This was my first time at Homestead Kitchen and Bar, and it was a great experience! I started with their Mexican hot chocolate, which had a delicious hint of cinnamon that made it extra cozy. I also tried their frosé--perfectly refreshing, and they didn't skimp on the champagne! For my meal, I ordered the breakfast tacos, swapping the hashbrowns for a side of fruit. The fruit portion was quite small, but the breakfast tacos made up for it--they were very filling and almost like an omelette inside a tortilla. I tried one taco with brisket and the other with bacon. Both were tasty, but I'd say the brisket was the standout! Overall, I enjoyed my meal here!

7/20/25 between 1:40pm- 2:15pm We came in to dine in, but unfortunately one of our friends needed to leave, so we ordered to go instead just to be safe with our time since our table wait was about 25min. We are regular customers and are always showing our friends/family this place. Our table was ready so we told the host that we had already ordered and asked if we could sit and that we were planning on ordering pancakes and drinks. She sat us down, and told us it was fine. The whole time not once did someone come to see if everything was okay or if we wanted to order anything else. Instead a male worker (seemed to be waiter) said as he passed by us "I can't f****** believe that they sat themselves down" we noticed he went to the buss boys said something and then they directly looked at us. At that point we didn't want to order anymore bc of the males comments & bc no one checked on us. We did not seat ourselves down, a host sat us down. Even though our food was still TO GO we gave business to the restaurant. There's people literally drinking drinks from lalaland being treated well. When we actually purchased food from homestead and was even hoping to order more. No complains about food. Adding food picture so this guy knows exactly who we are. And learns to keep comments to himself. Or is a better waiter for the next customer. Such a disappointment experience to see that just bc we had to go food we weren't give the same service. Feels good when an establishment takes pride in their customer's feedback and puts a plan into action. Honestly, part of me was hoping that last time was just a fluke or an off day. This time around, everything from the service to the food was great. We had a 12:30 Sunday reservation for two and opted to sit inside this time. We ordered the cast-iron cornbread, chargrilled oysters, and a cup of gumbo each to start. For entrées, I had the Gulf Fish, while my husband went with the crawfish Florentine. Everything came out beautifully timed, almost like a perfectly paced three-course meal, which obviously made the whole experience feel elevated and relaxed. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and on top of everything without being overbearing. I also tried the prickly pear aid (non-alcoholic), and it was super refreshing, definitely worth ordering if you like a little tartness to cleanse your palate. Overall, this visit felt like a completely different experience than last time. It delivered the elevated experience a place like Eunice promises and what I was used to originally. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was disappointing due to both the service and the food quality. Our server was very slow throughout the evening. After ordering cocktails, it took approximately 20 minutes for them to arrive. We then ordered our meals... I had the burger and fries, while my girlfriend ordered the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were noticeably over salted. After finishing our meals, we waited an additional 15-20 minutes just to receive a dessert menu. Eventually, we decided not to wait any longer and went to Dessert Gallery down the street instead. While the atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant were excellent, the slow service and food issues negatively impacted the experience. Based on this visit, I would likely not return.

The vibe is great, the decor is awesome, the food delivers consistently, and service rarely takes a day off -- it's just a solid place to go when you're up for some great southern comfort classics. Cocktails, delicious. The daily food specials make it refreshing. The oysters never disappoint. We've rarely had to wait long on any ordered items and servers are all top notch. We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Come on guys, I expect more from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant!

Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16. They were tasty. I like Rouxpour and would return. My only negative is that their prices are a little on the high side in my opinion.
