We have been making more healthy whole food choices lately and decided to try this restaurant out for their Vegan Friendly options. OMG!!! Can I tell you...it was A-Mazing!!! I like sweet and savor options when I eat to get the best of both worlds. That being said, for my savory pick I ordered the JOY breakfast wrap sub the egg with Tempeh. *Get the sweet Sriracha sauce to dip. The sweet pick was the Harrison Açaí Bowl added bananas, peanut butter and a drizzle of agave. If you're a coffee connoisseur, then get the Cappuccino with a pump of Cardamom and Vanilla! Delish! You can even mix & match or customize your food if can't decide what you want! Ps- they serve breakfast all day, yessir!! I ordered the JOY breakfast wrap - regular size. It was great!! It's like the size of a chipotle burrito!! Filled with yummy goodness- eggs, avocado, black beans, spinach, carrots, & more! The flavor was so good and you can really taste the freshness of all the ingredients! I ate about 1/2 of mine and I was full - great portion, quality, and value for the price. After an early morning sunrise watch at Atlantic Beach in Jacksonville we were walking around looking for breakfast. Not much open but a young local couple asked if we had ever had Açaí bowls and recommended Homespun Kitchen. We ate there both mornings we were in Jacksonville, it was that good! Day 1 I had the small Lani Açaí bowl and hubby had the Regular Harrison Açaí bowl. Both were 5 star worthy. Fresh fruit, delicious granola over an açaí berry sorbet like deliciousness that is difficult to describe. It's like eating really healthy ice cream for breakfast! I'm not big on really sweet food, so next time I would leave off the agave syrup or honey topping, but sooo amazing! Day 2 we had another Harrison Regular bowl and a mini Med. Wrap. Again both were delicious. The Regular size Açaí bowls are big (make sure you look at the container sizes). All the food was fresh and delicious. Wishing we could pick this place up and drop it Ann Arbor! There were tons or vegan and vegetarian options available a d the staff was nice and helpful. I think anyone looking for a local healthy fast option would love this place. We didn't have coffee but I heard form those ordering it is amazing as well. We might even go back for an açaí bowl for dessert. I don't review that often and reserve 5 stars for the best and this food is unique, delicious and well deserved. read more

OMG! My boyfriend took me here for the first time last week and it was AMAZING. We both were going for something light that day. It's super vibey in there and the workers seem to really like what they are doing. Everything looks so fresh and delicious. We both went with açaí bowls that were topped with the freshest of fruit. I don't live in Jax, but I take trips there occasionally because I am fond of the area and my sister is currently going to school there. Every time I'm in Jax I make sure to stop by Homespun to get the Korean wrap. This wrap is so delicious, I went two days in a row during my most recent trip. I also tried the froyo for the first time which was delicious! Although, the toppings were a little sparse. This past trip to Homespun, I received superior service, the staff was very friendly. Between Florida Juice and Bowl and Kairos, which have a similar price point as this place ($6.99 for a small), Homespun Kitchen has stiff competition with their açai bowls. I ordered the super goji bowl ($6.75 for a small) and when it came out, I was shocked to see the tiny serving. There was literally 1.5 inches of the acai base with fruit and nuts on top as I requested no granola. Given my surprise, one of the employees (Mathias) was kind enough to offer to remake it for me as he mentioned that it was the first day on the job for the person who made it and he wasn't sure if she'd followed the instructions accurately. Mathias was very accommodating and at no cost to me, he made the lani bowl. Having tasted two of their bowls, I think it's safe to say that the acai ice cubes that they use for the base cause the flavor to be diluted. The color of the base is also not as bright as most acai places. As I walked to my car, I began to wonder how much base is typically in their bowls but when I looked at the pictures on yelp, they all seemed to have very small amounts of base. It may also be that the serving cups and bowls are not proportionate to the sizes that they serve, which makes the value look terrible. I guess don't quite understand why some of the places in Jacksonville are so skimpy with their açai base and toppings. Each time I go back to the West Coast and get an açai bowl, I'm reminded of how good they are and how chocked full of fruit, base, and flavor they are. I'm disappointed nearly each time I get one here. Homespun kitchen unfortunately did not do much to change my mind but the three stars are for the customer service, which was quite good. I had a giftcard to this restaurant. The first two times I went there they told me they didn't have any avocados. That was weird especially since it was in a span of two weeks. I ordered the Sweet Heat last time. The flavor was good. It contains: organic egg, aged cheddar, turkey bacon, hot maple sauce, on a whole grain wrap. The wrap is cut in half and the hot sauce just leaks out. It was super messy and I had to use 6 napkins to eat it. Flavor was good but I probably won't come back. Staff wasn't friendly. I came in for a quick bite to eat and coffee for breakfast one morning. It was a cozy and warm environment with friendly people. I ordered the sweet heat burrito and the iced coffee. When I checked in, there was a 10% off coupon to use. I was able to sit And watch them make the food in the small open kitchen. The iced coffee came out quickly, and they perfectly wrapped the burrito so well I almost didn't want to open it! The burrito was delicious, with plenty of hot sauce, bacon, and eggs. Sometimes it's best when things don't go as planned because this place was excellent and we now have a new local favorite. The hubbs had Sweet Heat and I had the mini egg. Not gonna lie, I was apprehensive at first, as it seemed like any fresh, to-go, build-your-own style place. I built my own salad. The southwest style salad with avocados. What I'm about to say might be odd, but here goes. I'm not entirely sure where they got their greens. The spring mix was unlike any other, the leaves themselves felt thicker, fresher, and had that "picked-from-the-vine" feel. Every bite was phenomenal and I can honestly say, this is one of the best salad bowls I've ever had. Seems a little dramatic, but it really was strangely an elevated experience. I stopped by after seeing this pop up as the closest place to get a cup of coffee after a nice warm beach morning. I'm glad I decided to stop here instead of Starbucks. They have great little breakfast menu and basically everything is customizable. I ordered a breakfast wrap and an iced coffee. The eggs and cheese were perfect and i was able to add turkey bacon. It was well worth the price. The coffee was great and super refreshing in the Florida heat. It wasn't packed but seating is very limited. The employees were great and very nice. This ice cream spot is close to my regular spot. We gave this place a chance. We found out it is more than an ice cream shop. They have smoothies, milkshakes, and even small meals. The inside seating is very limited. The outside seating is half that. That outside and inside look to be kept in good condition. The ice cream is drastically over priced. The service was nice and friendly. I do not know the price of other foods since we only had ice cream. On a side note, the ice cream was mostly melted by the time the server got done ringing up one customer. The customer got to fill out their email in their iPad register and that was time consuming with all the other steps in check out. They do not have a military discount. read more
