Salad

A wonderful meal at Yoon's Spoon. I wasn't sure what to expect when I came in. The restaurant is small and connected to a gym. However, I saw the fresh vegetables and the sweetest lady asking what I would like to eat. She was cutting fresh squash and zucchini so I know I would be in for a hardy but healthy meal. The menu was simple with good flavor pairings so it was hard settling on something for lunch. I settled on the Bulgogi Korean Plate w/ extra steamed vegetables and it came with a salad. So plenty of vegetables to go around. There was plenty of food on the plate when presented and because I was hungry when I walked in I probably ordered more than my belly could hold. Everything was fresh, fast but fresh. The bulgogi was tendered and cooked well. The vegetables were cooked thoroughly but still crisp. The surprise salad had a nice soy ginger vinaigrette dressing. I truly enjoyed Yoon's Spoon; a pleasant surprise. Then hearing the owner was/is battling breast cancer I'm glad I support this small business off the whelm.

Great spot for lunch. Yoon's is a small establishment right next to a gym. Their hours are limited and so is their menu, but what they do serve is pretty good. They offer health-conscious Korean food. I ended up getting the Bulgogi Bento and hubby got their David's Bowl. Both dishes were satisfying and were a good-sized portion. The Bulgogi bento came with a side salad, rice, and gyoza. The meat was marinated well and full of flavor. The David's Bowl is a bowl of teriyaki chicken over a bed of rice with lots of veggies and topped with avocado. The chicken was done well and wasn't dry at all. The meal was clean and simple, but sometimes that's all you need.

Call ahead like 2 hours & order it. Loaded with protein & goodness $9.99 !

Healthy conscious menu including protein to vegetarian options. They have special pre-orders healthy lunches --prepared daily. On Fridays: they have sushi This place is economically sound ( cheaper ) than other healthy restaurants. Close to Mayo ClInic .. right on main intersection of Beach blvd & San Pablo.. Don't miss place for quick healthy bite ( hard to find these days ) or order in for take out !

This place has the highest quality sushi rolls of anywhere in Jax. While it's true they don't have…read moreas many options, the rolls they do offer are tall, stuffed full with very fresh fish, and not overly rice heavy. The build your own poke is also one of my go-to choices and their ramen bowls will give you delicious leftovers for days! Basically it'd hard to go wrong here. Other random side notes are that they're closed Monday (which i forget alot) & their miso soup is made with a more savory (bone?) broth that I'm used too- not a bad thing, it just surprised me. In sum, if I were on death row I might just have to get a philly roll from here as my last meal.

It's like a hug in a bowl; all the ingredients complement each other and the broth is just so good on its own, I could drink it alone. I'm a fan of a little spice so I asked for 1/2 the normal amount used to spice things up... but honestly the broth is just SOOO good on its own; it needs nothing. The noodles themselves are also really good; some places have noodles that can taste a little "cardboard-y" - but not at Tokyo Ramen. What else? Service: friendly and fast... Cleanliness of the restaurant: supreme (I think you could literally eat off the floors if health code allowed).

Love this place! It started out as a frequent boba stop for me but I finally got to try their food…read moreand I'm so so impressed! First off all, anyone who has ever lived in Arlington knows that this used to be Grand Asian (Chinese Food). This restaurant is close to Jacksonville University. I remember really enjoying the Chinese food then and I'm glad this restaurant features Asian Fusion options which includes Chinese food favorites. I appreciate that this new restaurant doesn't take away the options available in this area, it just adds on to the existing familiar fare. Merrill Road has its fair share of Chinese food places but I love how there's much more variety here in one location. DRINKS Boba - while I typically omit boba from the milk tea and slush drinks now (avoiding the extra calories), their boba is actually made quite well. It's well cooked, not too hard or extra squishy. Their taro slush is perfect. I tried the Kumquat with lemon as well and it's such a great alternative to plain lemonade on a hot summer day. This comes with lychee and I added popping boba (different from regular boba) which adds another layer of citrus burst in my taste buds. Drinks featured in the photo include: Mango sweet dew, strawberry, Thai tea and jasmine green tea. I was NOT a fan of the Thai tea. It tasted a bit watered down. (I will attempt to order Thai tea at a later date because I cannot let it affect this review of otherwise amazing drinks and food) FOOD: Poke I ordered a poke salad with spicy salmon x2, marinated tuna. Delicious! The poke bowl size is very generous. Price depends on how much protein you get but pretty much unlimited toppings until you get to the avocado and crunchy toppings (max 3). Sauce: teriyaki, spicy mayo and eel sauce. Yum! Ramen (Tonkatsu) This was so good! Presentation threw me off. I later realized that we were given the "to-go" bowl of ramen so everything was not submerged. Makes sense why it looked dry at first. Since we were eating in the restaurant I would have loved to see a real ramen bowl with real chopsticks but these details are insignificant. The ramen broth is so rich in flavor. The tonkatsu pork hit the spot and was well made! The noodles, once soaked in the broth, had a nice smooth texture and absorbed so much good flavor. Pictured but did not try (was told it was good) include Takoyaki (octopus :)) Seating: there's plenty of it! The cushioned seats were much appreciated. Anyone with back pain would definitely appreciate longer conversations & hanging out without feeling like their spine is locking up. Other features: Kiosk for self check out. I really like this!
