Upon entering this super clean establishment as first-timers, it was a bit overwhelming with rows and rows of home goods to see and surprisingly early Halloween decorations. The layout is more like a Lowe's with very clear and organized sections. We were so happy to be able to go and shop here with ease because it wasn't packed at all. Some of the prices do seem high for what they're offering. However, there were many sales and discounts that make the rest very affordable. The staff were friendly and always helpful. My favorite part was the painting section they had so many nice pieces at really good prices. They already had holiday décor out too, and honestly it was cheaper than what I've seen at other places. I also noticed the workers were going around cleaning the areas and checking in to see if customers needed help, which I really appreciated. When we started searching for furniture for our new house a few years ago Derbyshire popped up on just about every list I checked and had plenty of great reviews. Now that we've made a few of our own purchases I totally understand the praise this small business gets. The shop is small but mighty and packed with so many good pieces. If your style leans traditional - they've got it. If your style leans more contemporary/modern - they've got it. Plus a few things in between that could go in either direction and work with just about any style or decor. Everything is solid wood and totally customizable. You can pick your stain or paint plus your hardware (should you order something with hardware, of course). The couple that owns the shop have always been very kind and very patient, answering all the questions... especially when I was coming in every other week for too many weeks to look at dressers before I finally made up my mind. Lead time was accurate, delivery days/times were accommodating and the guys that arrived to place our items were totally courteous. For our last order/delivery the guys didn't leave until they leveled our dressers perfectly. I didn't even have to ask.. they just did it and that's how a good delivery and install team should operate. Truly, I only have good things to say about Derbyshire. Next piece of wood furniture that we need I will definitely be stopping in Derbyshire first to check things out.

Before purchasing, I asked the salesperson multiple times whether furniture removal was included, and she repeatedly assured me that it was. Delivery day arrives, and the delivery team informs me that no removal service was scheduled and they would not be taking the old furniture. I then spent nearly four hours dealing with customer service, only to be told there was nothing they could do. Apparently, the salesperson forgot to add the removal service or make any note of our conversation. Despite this being entirely their mistake, Bob's solution was essentially, "You're out of luck." My options were to either figure out how to dispose of the furniture myself or purchase another piece of furniture and schedule a future delivery with removal. It's incredibly frustrating to spend thousands of dollars on a couch, rely on the information provided by a salesperson, and then have the company refuse to correct its own error. Mistakes happen, but customer service should make them right. Instead, I was left with a new couch, old furniture I can't move, and hours wasted trying to resolve a problem that never should have existed. I won't be purchasing from Bob's again and would strongly encourage anyone relying on delivery or removal services to get everything in writing before buying.

Buying furniture should be an exciting experience, but this place managed to turn it into a stressful and frustrating nightmare. From the moment we walked in, the staff acted like helping customers was a burden. The attitude was cold, dismissive, and at times outright rude. The furniture looks nice in the showroom, but once it's delivered you quickly realize the quality doesn't match the price at all. It feels cheaply made and nowhere near what you'd expect after paying so much. What upset me the most was how the store responded when I tried to address the problems. Instead of taking responsibility or even showing basic concern, they were dismissive and unhelpful. It honestly felt like once they had the money, they simply didn't care anymore. After numerous phone calls and the games they played, I finally spoke to manager Spiro who blamed a leather couch falling apart after 3 months on me. Please look at the shocking pictures below that were sent to them and they didn't care. I regret spending my money here. This experience was frustrating, exhausting, and completely avoidable if the store actually valued its customers. I would strongly warn anyone thinking about buying furniture here to think twice and look somewhere else.
