The receptionist was courteous, and I vaguely remember her connecting me to Daniella who came to the front area when she called her. Before that I wandered through that showroom admiring the display of fine and interesting furniture and the overall ambiance. I was totally taken in. Daniella arrived smiling graciously and very matter-of-factly welcomed me into the fabric area. OMG! The array of samples, the tones, colors, variety and quantity. I am still surprised and proud that I walked out there with a decision. The end product rocks! Let me tell you why. Daniella is an expert at what she does. LISTENING to what I described as my need and interest. That is the skill of a professional. It must be understood that I was in fabric heaven and had to choose my robe, one prettier than the other. All I can say is Daniella had her head on in spite of my euphoria. I can go on but suffice it to say It was a moment at the fabric beach. The process of ordering/supplier contact was handled by my trusty designer. My take home orders were to take the materials with my cushions and pillows when they arrive to my upholsterer. Daniella's art of cording by size and effect also helped make the final project what was beyond my expectation. My home is a sweeter more beautiful living space than before. Daniella even understood and supported my idea to add motif planning with tiling that sealed my decor. I regret not paying her separately. .... And I did not overspend!!!!!

Whether one's decorating for the first time or if it's the tenth furnishing venture, it is the most effective way to color living spaces where personal tastes, comfort, and style come together. Located on Willowbrook Blvd. in Wayne, my partner and I paid a visit to At Home. Upon entering this super clean establishment as first-timers, it was a bit overwhelming with rows and rows of home goods to see and surprisingly early Halloween decorations. The layout is more like a Lowe's with very clear and organized sections. We were so happy to be able to go and shop here with ease because it wasn't packed at all. Some of the prices do seem high for what they're offering. However, there were many sales and discounts that make the rest very affordable. The staff were friendly and always helpful. Much can be found At Home--highly recommend for any household needs.

My favorite part was the painting section they had so many nice pieces at really good prices. They already had holiday décor out too, and honestly it was cheaper than what I've seen at other places. I also noticed the workers were going around cleaning the areas and checking in to see if customers needed help, which I really appreciated. I went in just to look but ended up leaving with ideas and inspiration for my space. Definitely planning to go back soon!

We didn't want something generic from pottery barn/ikea/etc. but were also discouraged to find that any vintage-style dresser of any decent quality was outrageously expensive. Lo and behold, my wife stumbled upon a posting for Vintage Lane on our neighborhood blog and we decided to check it out. We were so thankful we did! Not only does Carrie and her partner, who own the store, have great pieces, they are remarkably affordable. We found the perfect-sized dresser for our toddler's room and Carrie painted it for us for an extremely reasonable price (she also had to spend a lot of time getting the stain just right on top, so it was no small job). The piece came out looking fantastic. If you like vintage-style furniture (e.g. annie sloan /distressed/Brooklyn flea mkt/etc.), this place is for you. You'll find beautiful dressers/sideboards/cupboards/mirrors/etc. that are far more affordable than comparable items you'll find in any other stores/fleas. Also, the folks who run the store are exceedingly friendly and willing to work with you to make sure you find exactly what you are looking for. We will definitely be coming back.

I found the perfect hostess gift for a recent trip to a friend's lakehouse, a lovely ceramic birdbath for indoors or out. So many great gifts it was hard to choose. The sales staff was helpful when I needed an opinion, but not intrusive. All the ladies seemed very knowledgeable and super friendly, but not overbearing. And they did a simple, tasteful gift wrap. Both Morristown and Fairfield locations also have huge outdoor furniture selections. Their teak sets are gorgeous and were on sale for a decent price. The Morristown store is my favorite with its unique outdoor secret garden-esque display area nestled in the back... wish I could've stayed with a book and glass of wine! And don't miss the building on the right, they have a nice selection of florals there. It smells so good I was almost fooled into thinking they were real. Definitely my new go-to place for gifts and home décor.

My biggest issue is with regard to the Teak furniture. We are having a problem with a set we purchased just three seasons ago and the chairs have started breaking. We contacted Kingsley Bate and they informed us we had to contact the store we purchased it at. The store made us send them an email with pictures of the problem. After 2 weeks of not receiving a response from The Garden Cottage Help Line we called the store again. First they argued with us, then they told us that we broke the chair (which we didn't, since all of them are starting to have the same problem) and finally they agreed to drop the part we need in the mail and we can fix it ourselves. We're not going to do business with them anymore and we're staying away from any additional purchases of Kingsley Bate Teak furniture. On a positive note, I will add that the Kingsley Bate wood furniture that is in our screened in porch is holding up much better than the table and chairs, however, a wood set shouldn't start falling apart in under 3 years (and that's with taking the chairs in each winter).

My wife is disabled, so she was very kind and cautious to make sure that she found the exact couch that would make her comfortable. And then another associate named Michael came over, and reassured us that this was the perfect couch for us. My wife had many questions and he answered every single one of them. I have been too many furniture stores and the selling stress was very high. Here it was comfortable, quiet and reassuring. I would recommend this store to anyone that needs furniture, including family and friends. it's really good to know that they're actually people out there that really want to help you. I will never go anywhere else to purchase furniture and beds. Also, I forgot to mention Michael is a savant when it comes to mattresses he knows everything there is to know about mattresses. That's about all I can say hopefully everyone will visit the store especially this weekend when there is 70% off Labor Day special.

I had never mentioned EBT, public assistance, or anything that would make that comment relevant to our conversation. Mike did not know my background, profession, financial circumstances, or anything else about me. I felt racially and socioeconomically stereotyped based on my appearance. I cannot speak to his intent, but I can absolutely speak to how his words made me feel: singled out, humiliated, and unwelcome. Ironically, I walked into this store as a serious prospective customer. I am a Director at a nonprofit organization and was prepared to spend my money there. But that is beside the point--no customer should have to disclose their profession, income, or financial status to be treated with dignity and respect. I also won one of the store's hourly drawings during my visit. Given this experience, I have formally requested that the company not post or use my photograph, name, or likeness in connection with the drawing or its promotional materials. I do not want my image used to promote a business where I felt stereotyped and disrespected. Value City lost our business today--and we took that business elsewhere. A special thank you to Alfred at Ashley for welcoming us, treating us with dignity and respect, and ultimately earning our business. The difference in how we were treated was remarkable. We walked into both stores as the exact same people and prospective customers; the difference was how we were made to feel. More importantly, I hope Value City's corporate leadership takes this seriously so another customer does not leave this store feeling the way I did.

I was impressed with the selections. The store associate Tavian greeted us at the door and was wonderfully helpful! There was an electric reclining couch that we wanted to check out in the middle of the store and not near an outlet, and he ran over with a little power box so that we could plug it in and get the full experience and see how the electric recliners worked. I highly recommend this store if you're looking for good furniture-- the sale prices were impressive! We ended up buying a loveseat next-door at the regular Raymour and Flanagan, but it was nice to come into this outlet location to see what other options were available at a discount. Grateful for the wide selection and great customer service today.

Horrendous experience. DO NOT SHOP HERE!…read more I'm honestly furious and incredibly disappointed with this store. Buying furniture should be an exciting experience, but this place managed to turn it into a stressful and frustrating nightmare. From the moment we walked in, the staff acted like helping customers was a burden. The attitude was cold, dismissive, and at times outright rude. The furniture looks nice in the showroom, but once it's delivered you quickly realize the quality doesn't match the price at all. It feels cheaply made and nowhere near what you'd expect after paying so much. What upset me the most was how the store responded when I tried to address the problems. Instead of taking responsibility or even showing basic concern, they were dismissive and unhelpful. It honestly felt like once they had the money, they simply didn't care anymore. After numerous phone calls and the games they played, I finally spoke to manager Spiro who blamed a leather couch falling apart after 3 months on me. Please look at the shocking pictures below that were sent to them and they didn't care. I regret spending my money here. This experience was frustrating, exhausting, and completely avoidable if the store actually valued its customers. I would strongly warn anyone thinking about buying furniture here to think twice and look somewhere else.
