    New dresser wouldn't take back until I reported them.

    Bedframe- Perfect 1 Nightstand- got a new one. Had cracks 2 Second Nightstand - had stain for tissue box. I just kept it. 3 Five drawer dresser- replaced it 3 times. Had a big hole in the back and refused to give me a new one. I reported them to Better Business Beau and they gave me a new one. New one had cracks and material peeling in drawers. They didn't believe me with the cracks. I had to record myself sticking my finger in the cracks. Then they gave me a new one. 4 Dresser draw in chest- Replaced 3 times. Drawer not closing. Wrong gliders. Got 2 new drawers. Gliders only fit on the original drawer. The guy told me to keep it and nothings perfect . I couldn't open the drawer. My husband fit it himself. He knew more than the guy. Btw the guy ask me for a measuring tape. He should carry that with him. That's pathetic! Went to the store and the lady took my information and I sent her the pictures. She said she will show her manager when she comes in. The next day I went back to the store and found out she was actually the manager!!!!! Ordered bedroom set in July 2022 but furniture got delivered in October 2022. Had all the correct and new pieces by the end of July 2023. Which took exactly one year. -Ordered from Ashley furniture in Fairfield NJ horrible service and rude people.   Overall, -They did not believe me about the dresser. I had to keep recording videos. - Bad communication skills. Said were coming and didn't. - Said I closed and opened cases which I did not. - Said called and left messages, and they did not. They emailed me instead.   - Pieces keep getting delayed for months. One time, the workers delivered a damaged piece, and they were supposed to take the damaged piece back and did not. -Scheduled appointments and canceled 2 days before and said I never made one.. I ordered a sofa from Raymor and Flanigun, and there was a little scratch on it. I just emailed them and sent two pictures and didn't even talk to them on the phone. Ashley is a big project when you do this. Order from Raymor or a different place. Just not Ashley.

    This place is trash, and their guest services is sewage. They call at inconvenient times (work hours, weekends) and close the case right away without notice. We just finished speaking to a manager at guest services (Alberto, I think), and he told me that his associates have done their "due diligence" of communicating and reaching out, without us responding back. This is what his associates have noted on our account. But i'm attaching screenshots of email responses to his associates in a timely manner, while they completely neglect and ignore us and closed the case all of a sudden. The guest services manager gaslighted us in this conversation, when he can simply check all the email correspondences to see his staff's negligence. A Walmart manager does a better job than him assessing situations. Then he tries to tell me that they work all around the clock even on holidays, as if that's a plus for us. When we are dealing with things on the weekends, he basically expects that when his associates call us on Saturday afternoon, that we get out of therapy to answer Ashley Furniture calls, otherwise his associates will close the case immediately. Check photos. He then insinuates tour fault for not refusing the couch while the delivery people were there. The delivery people took the plastic off the couch and took a photo of my husband sitting on it then immediately left. How can an odor issue be evident in that short time? We lodged a complaint exactly at 3:58pm on that same day of delivery per photo attached here on previous review. That's within 2 hours of delivery. We were frantic that my kids and I started getting HIVES, NAUSEA, and DIZZINESS, that then scheduling a technician wasn't our immediate priority. Before the couch was delivered, we called and instructed to never call the home #, still they continually call the home # in where we aren't home most of the time because we travel, and expect a response right away. I even explicitly gave a number to reach out to in the Yelp message they sent me. The whole conversation spiked my blood pressure and anxiety. It was all Alberto trying to pick up sticks of information to find a hole on our end to deflect. Fortunately we have screenshots and paper trail on all texts and emails between everyone, so we know the truth. Even the technician they sent to "check the odor" was confused what exactly Ashley wanted him to use to fix the issue. The technician was prompt, professional and 5 stars. The Ashley associates though were 0 stars through and through. He confirmed with the Ashley agent over the phone on speaker, and you know what she told him? She asked him if he he has a scent spray or something he brought personally to spray on the couch.... basically reading between the lines, to mask the odor. Our technician was so confused with her question. The technician was the only professional, intelligent, sound individual during this whole process, and that includes the manager we just spoke to. LOOK UP CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ONLINE OF ASHLEY FURNITURE ODOR ISSUES WITH COUCHES. IT'S FILLED WITH CHEMICAL SMELLS AND SOME HAVE MOLD PROBLEMS. THESE OFF-GASSING SEVERE ODOR CAUSES HEALTH ISSUES, and imagine we've been dealing with it for a month, since we were told it would go away. We were told that it would go away, and at the same time the guest services manager is blaming us for reaching out a month after purchase.... we'll dug! because you guys told us it would subside in where it hasn't even a month! They offered to replace the couch, but the couch isn't the problem, it's the off-gassing, which lies with, what the manager says, the treatment they use on their wood. We said we wanted a refund. The manager came back to us saying he will only give store credit to buy another furniture. We need a couch nothing else, and we don't want to deal with the same issue, or even chance of it, given customer service is terrible, so basically he's offering the same deal but instead of the same model couch, to exchange for another model couch also manufactured by Ashley Furniture.... He didn't understand the illogic he was giving to us and was confused of our confusion! He basically just offered the same thing as an exchange! And get this, we called the Fairfield store for support (since sweet talked us of how they take care of their customers and they disassociate themselves from Ashley Furniture corporate since they are a franchise and family owned), and the lady we spoke to redirected us to the corporate office for support and the store can't do anything. We lost $300 not going to work during delivery, another $300 when they sent the tech, now $300 to exchange the couch. I just want a refund! Take your horrid couch back! I want my $639.73. The couch is unsat on, we break out in hives even having skin touching it, and it SMELLS if you lay. It's in pristine condition still with the tags on.

    If I could give it 0 I would. Came in and was planning to buy just a table but I was convinced to buy the whole set so it'll just be one delivery.... That didn't happen. They forgot to load the table I original wanted from the gecko. They only delivered the 2 chairs. How am I suppose to have a dinner party with no table. A joke. And then I was so upset with not having the table that I just signed off in the chair. Well then after I noticed there was a tear on the chair. Since I didn't inspect it well, it was my fault and they wouldn't replace the chair. Wtf! I didn't even plan on buying a chair. Almost $2k of just a table and 2 chairs with horrible policy and rules. The table came a week later after my dinner party. A joke! Their service was great and their staff was nice but the company sucks!!!! Never buying from Ashley furniture ever!!! I had to take another day off since they don't deliver on Sunday. Used up another vacation day waiting for them to deliver. The worst part, I requested a super early delivery and they delivered mid-day. I couldn't even just be late. But ended up just taking the day off. Such a joke of a company. With the whole chair situation, they offered to give me a discount but the warranty will be voided. I should've just taken the discount cause I just realized the warranty is probably worthless. It's better to buy from Amazon or Costco atleast they would take it back if there was an issue. The discount was like $17.50 wtf it won't even cover me getting it fixed. I didn't even use the chair but they still wouldn't replace it. Their system is so archaic but just buy from Amazon don't get anything from Ashley furniture.

    DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS LITERALLY THE WORST I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I purchased a sectional and mattress November 2020 for my new home. The store said the items would be available for the end of December, which worked well with my closing and move in timeframe so I went ahead with the order. I put down a deposit that day and signed paperwork that clearly states " The merchandise you have ordered is promised for delivery on or before 12/22/20" (see attached photo) 4 days before the scheduled delivery (12/18) I received a call me from Ashley customer service telling me that only 1/2 of my sectional and my mattress will be delivered and the other 1/2 of the sectional is not available until THE 2ND WEEK OF JANUARY. Then I received a text message the next day 12/19 - 3 days before my scheduled delivery - confirming that my entire order would be delivered (see attached screenshot in the text messages). I reached out to my sales rep Jamie to confirm and she said "I believe that will be everything". So I was under the assumption everything was good to go. (see texts attached) The day before delivery (12/21) they call me to tell me that actually my mattress is "defective" and they will only be delivering 1/2 my sectional. 12/22 only HALF of my sectional was delivered. 3 days before Christmas when I had counted on these items. I had family coming from out of town and this was beyond disappointing. It is now 1/6... my mattress was delivered yesterday, 2 weeks LATE. I called to find out what the status is with the other half of my couch since HALF OF A SECTIONAL WAS DELIVERED and they are telling me that it looks like the other half will not be available until FEBRUARY. WHY DID I, THE CUSTOMER, HAVE TO FOLLOW UP AND CONTACT THEM, THE RETAILER, ON THIS? Zero accountability for this BS - NOBODY proactively contacted me to address this INCONVENIENCE that is THEIR FAULT. ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME. I put this order in NOVEMBER 14th. I signed paperwork to Ashley Furniture committing to a date based on the AVAILABILITY the system was showing that day for 12/22. I put down a deposit. I have been told different things from every person I have spoken with and NOBODY has done ANYTHING for this absolute TRAVESTY. This is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting way of doing business. If I would have known I would have walked across the street to Raymour and Flanigan and paid $1k more just to AVOID this mess and headache. NEVER AGAIN. I have also shared this with my 4800 friends on Facebook and 3800 followers on Instagram. ASHLEY HOMESTORE IS HORRIBLE.

    I got a couch, ottoman and side chair for my new apartment in February 2020. Ahmed was our sales rep, and he was excellent. The sales reps seem extremely pushy when you walk through the door, and we were SO thankful to be paired with him. He was helpful but also gave us space and checked in with us periodically throughout the store. Thank you for being you, Ahmed! This is my second couch from Ashley's. I can't say any are great quality - the cushions and pillows lose fluff, the side chair has metal sticking out of the arm, but this is all expected for the price. If you're looking for furniture for a few years, this really does the trick. It's nothing long-term, but it certainly looks beautiful for a short period of time. My biggest recommendation is to negotiate, know your highest price point, and identify if you want furniture for long term wear and tear or short term. Also, ask for Ahmed if you decide to go to this location.

    Horrendous experience. DO NOT SHOP HERE!…read more I'm honestly furious and incredibly disappointed with this store. Buying furniture should be an exciting experience, but this place managed to turn it into a stressful and frustrating nightmare. From the moment we walked in, the staff acted like helping customers was a burden. The attitude was cold, dismissive, and at times outright rude. The furniture looks nice in the showroom, but once it's delivered you quickly realize the quality doesn't match the price at all. It feels cheaply made and nowhere near what you'd expect after paying so much. What upset me the most was how the store responded when I tried to address the problems. Instead of taking responsibility or even showing basic concern, they were dismissive and unhelpful. It honestly felt like once they had the money, they simply didn't care anymore. After numerous phone calls and the games they played, I finally spoke to manager Spiro who blamed a leather couch falling apart after 3 months on me. Please look at the shocking pictures below that were sent to them and they didn't care. I regret spending my money here. This experience was frustrating, exhausting, and completely avoidable if the store actually valued its customers. I would strongly warn anyone thinking about buying furniture here to think twice and look somewhere else.

After taking a look the sales guy comes back and says they can do it for 1500. Wow what an awesome deal I thought... ill take it. So I pay and upon looking at the receipt a different model purple matress is listed I go back in to ask why a diffent model is listed. After some back and forth they claim the wrong label was on the matttess and they could never sell this mattees for that low. Kind of felt like a bait and switch show the fancy mattress and deliver a cheaper version. Maybe it was an honest mistake but I thougnt I was getting an amazing mattress at a great deal and instead left disappointed and annoyed. Wont be buying my mattress here thats for sure

The salesperson, Michael Grossman, told me everything would take around six weeks. The swing chair arrived on time, but since then, it's been a complete mess. After October 3rd, Michael called saying the pillow arrived and would be delivered by Thursday the 9th -- but no one ever called or showed up. I tried contacting customer service many times, but it's almost impossible to reach anyone. When I finally spoke with someone, they were rude and gave no real help. I even went to the store on October 15th to check in person. The front desk said the pillow should be there, but they couldn't find it. Michael searched the storage area and still couldn't locate it. After waiting, he told me it would come no later than October 20th -- but again, no call, no delivery, and no update. It's now been more than two months, and still no pillow, no explanation, and no proper customer service. This experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful. I will definitely think twice before ordering from Raymour & Flanigan again. UPDATE:011/20/2025 Michael called me in the first week of November and admitted they lost the item and would issue a refund immediately. As of today, after calling multiple times, I still have not received any refund. The communication, service, and responsibility are unbelievably poor. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM -- REFUSES TO ISSUE MY REFUND This company is a scam. They keep trying not to refund my money. Every time I call, the lady tells me, "The refund will be issued soon," repeating the same line over and over. I even asked her to send me an email confirming the refund, and she said, "I'm doing this, someone else will refund it for you." That was exactly two weeks ago, and I received the same excuse again -- no refund, no update, nothing. At this point, it feels like they are trained to repeat the same script until the customer gets tired and gives up on their money. TOTALLY A SCAM COMPANY -- NOT JUST POOR SERVICE, A COMPLETE SCAM. Avoid at all costs.

No matter what the reason for the delay, you have to inform customers about the status of their order, especially after the money has already been charged. And these people didn't think it was worth their while to do that. If they took a step back and evaluated their own behavior and adjusted their tone, I would recommend this store. But as it is, I'm very disappointed by the way they handled my order. If the customer complains, let the customer complain. An employee shouldn't argue back and try to make excuses. How difficult would it be for them to just say, "We're sorry about the delay." We were forced to pick up the futon from the Paramus branch. We didn't know where that store was located, and the man I spoke to didn't even offer to have it delivered as some kind of compensation. The way they handled this order caused an incredible amount of inconvenience all around, but we might have overlooked it had they just accepted some responsibility, which they didn't.

This bedroom funiture has been nothing but trouble here I am almost a month later still sleeping on a mattress in the floor,(oh wait I forgot a box spring too we graduated) because they can't seem to get the delivery right. First I was told they have the queen mattress in. But not dressers or king bed. So they were going to deliver the queen bed and come back with rest. Long story short I get everything delivered except footboard, headboard frame for king bed. And when I called I get remember I told you they were damaged. NO I REMEMBER YOU SAYING THE DRESSERS WERE DAMAGED. SO EVERY WEEK ITS A DIFFERENT STORY. I was told my bed would be in this week. The 10th, or 11th I called today now it's June 17th. I dont think im ever getting thos bed. Im 2 steps from saying cancel it and not pay them. This whole time through thos whole ordeal not one manager has offered anything to makeup for this ordeal. That is not how you do business. Instead of blaming new delivery system. And new delivery system blaming them. Why not try to keep a customer coming back. Offer us something. Throw in something for the aggravation. I will not be buying from here anymore. I hope administration sees this, or the higher ups. I, ofcourse, went with her to pick out something nice and offer my opinion. We went on a Saturday and returned back on a Wednesday, the 11th to make the purchase. As I called the actual store to find out the delivery date, which I found out was supposed to be for this past Sunday the 12th, I decided to place up our old furniture sofa and loveseat up for donation. Two extremely nice gentleman came Saturday evening and were able to pick up and carry out our sofa and loveseat out to Paterson for her home. Yesterday the delivery comes and the truck drivers are here within five minutes & decide it's too big to bring into our house. Mind you the sofa and loveseat that we donated were in fact a bit bigger and had no issues being taken out of our home on Saturday. I think they just didn't want to do the extra work. Sucks they missed out on a good tip for their hard work. As I get the round about today to the service department , I've been transferred to all different departments today to help solve this problem, I am told that the loveseat is not part of the order!! I was specifically with my mom when she made the order. The sales rep did not include it in the order. My mom wanted the whole set , sofa, love seat, center living room table and two end tables. A lapse of misunderstanding that results in the sales rep not earning what could have been a solid commitment. And of-course is not having any furniture at the moment having to start from scratch yet again. So now we have another issue. Oh and for the sofa to be delivered it would have to be broken down & reassemble and there would be an extra $180 for that service which was never disclosed to us when we first made the order in the first place. So as you can imagine I am frustrated and annoyed that I cannot get through to the sales person because he called out sick and we now have a living room with nowhere to sit. So I unfortunately had to post my experiences on social media and go in person today to cancel the entire order. The manager was kind and helpful and even refunded the taxes that were paid. But even though we were offered to select other items, the experience of this after waiting a whole month and three days to deal with this left a terrible taste. Such a shame because my mom was looking forward to having entirely new furniture to enjoy this holiday season and years to come. Such a disappointment.

At 5:30PM the warehouse guy says to me"oh wow yeah someone should've called you because we cancelled this at 7am" and after some back and forth, I mean it wasn't their fault, I let them go. When I spoke with Nermine (the showroom manager) she apologized and said how about redelivery next Thursday. I said how about tomorrow? You literally wasted my entire weekend and rudely failed to communicate with me about any of it, the least you could do is get the delivery done next day. She tells me no one delivers on Sundays but she would call me Monday to let me know if she would be able to make any advanced delivery or issue a discount for the trouble. She never called. I called Tuesday and asked what's up, she says I had you for Thursday. I said you promised me a call and I never got it. No apology. Not even an excuse just silence. She knew she was in the wrong. She did NOTHING. I finally got my delivery yesterday and everything was as expected, except for the wasted day and the absolute lack of professionalism and concern for the customer. Once they take your money you are SOL for anything from there. This location has THE WORST customer service of any location I've ever been to. If you're reading this considering going here, DONT DO IT. There are many other options and all of them have better management. Zero stars. The furniture and the recliner? Great stuff. Great price. That stuff was great and if only I could've bought it online without having to deal with the shitshow management at this store, I'd be giving five stars for the quality and comfort of the product. The Talladega recliner is the most ridiculously comfy thing I've ever sat in. Buy it online and avoid the headaches. They charged me full price for delivery that didn't happen.
