My son purchased a bed, topper and pillow and it was suppose to be shipped out of state, the topper and pillow came to our house in Jersey. So a brought it back to store told them we couldn't take it so please remove it from the bill. Then on his delivery date no delivery called told them to cancel the order. Bedframe- Perfect 1 Nightstand- got a new one. Had cracks 2 Second Nightstand - had stain for tissue box. I just kept it. 3 Five drawer dresser- replaced it 3 times. Had a big hole in the back and refused to give me a new one. I reported them to Better Business Beau and they gave me a new one. New one had cracks and material peeling in drawers. They didn't believe me with the cracks. I had to record myself sticking my finger in the cracks. Then they gave me a new one. 4 Dresser draw in chest- Replaced 3 times. Drawer not closing. Wrong gliders. Got 2 new drawers. Gliders only fit on the original drawer. The guy told me to keep it and nothings perfect . I couldn't open the drawer. My husband fit it himself. This place is trash, and their guest services is sewage. They call at inconvenient times (work hours, weekends) and close the case right away without notice. We just finished speaking to a manager at guest services (Alberto, I think), and he told me that his associates have done their "due diligence" of communicating and reaching out, without us responding back. This is what his associates have noted on our account. But i'm attaching screenshots of email responses to his associates in a timely manner, while they completely neglect and ignore us and closed the case all of a sudden. The guest services manager gaslighted us in this conversation, when he can simply check all the email correspondences to see his staff's negligence. A Walmart manager does a better job than him assessing situations. Then he tries to tell me that they work all around the clock even on holidays, as if that's a plus for us. When we are dealing with things on the weekends, he basically expects that when his associates call us on Saturday afternoon, that we get out of therapy to answer Ashley Furniture calls, otherwise his associates will close the case immediately. Check photos. He then insinuates tour fault for not refusing the couch while the delivery people were there. The delivery people took the plastic off the couch and took a photo of my husband sitting on it then immediately left. How can an odor issue be evident in that short time? We lodged a complaint exactly at 3:58pm on that same day of delivery per photo attached here on previous review. That's within 2 hours of delivery. We were frantic that my kids and I started getting HIVES, NAUSEA, and DIZZINESS, that then scheduling a technician wasn't our immediate priority. Before the couch was delivered, we called and instructed to never call the home #, still they continually call the home # in where we aren't home most of the time because we travel, and expect a response right away. I even explicitly gave a number to reach out to in the Yelp message they sent me. The whole conversation spiked my blood pressure and anxiety. It was all Alberto trying to pick up sticks of information to find a hole on our end to deflect. Fortunately we have screenshots and paper trail on all texts and emails between everyone, so we know the truth. Even the technician they sent to "check the odor" was confused what exactly Ashley wanted him to use to fix the issue. The technician was prompt, professional and 5 stars. The Ashley associates though were 0 stars through and through. He confirmed with the Ashley agent over the phone on speaker, and you know what she told him? She asked him if he he has a scent spray or something he brought personally to spray on the couch.... basically reading between the lines, to mask the odor. Our technician was so confused with her question. The technician was the only professional, intelligent, sound individual during this whole process, and that includes the manager we just spoke to. LOOK UP CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ONLINE OF ASHLEY FURNITURE ODOR ISSUES WITH COUCHES. IT'S FILLED WITH CHEMICAL SMELLS AND SOME HAVE MOLD PROBLEMS. THESE OFF-GASSING SEVERE ODOR CAUSES HEALTH ISSUES, and imagine we've been dealing with it for a month, since we were told it would go away. We were told that it would go away, and at the same time the guest services manager is blaming us for reaching out a month after purchase.... we'll dug! because you guys told us it would subside in where it hasn't even a month! They offered to replace the couch, but the couch isn't the problem, it's the off-gassing, which lies with, what the manager says, the treatment they use on their wood. We said we wanted a refund. The manager came back to us saying he will only give store credit to buy another furniture. We need a couch nothing else, and we don't want to deal with the same issue, or even chance of it, given customer service is terrible, so basically he's offering the same deal but instead of the same model couch, to exchange for another model couch also manufactured by Ashley Furniture.... He didn't understand the illogic he was giving to us and was confused of our confusion! He basically just offered the same thing as an exchange! And get this, we called the Fairfield store for support (since sweet talked us of how they take care of their customers and they disassociate themselves from Ashley Furniture corporate since they are a franchise and family owned), and the lady we spoke to redirected us to the corporate office for support and the store can't do anything. We lost $300 not going to work during delivery, another $300 when they sent the tech, now $300 to exchange the couch. I just want a refund! Take your horrid couch back! I want my $639.73. Fairfield, NJ store is a scam!!!! Stay away!! Their products are awful. I purchased a couch which was delivered with manufacturers defect. The sections of the couch do not attach properly and the alignment is off by 4 inches. They sent a repair man who agreed that the couch has a manufacturers defect and unless he used multiple shims under each section and redrilled additional holes in each section, the couch was unrepairable. He called his boss (Carlos) and explained the findings, which I recorded. They told me I would received a credit or refund in the amount I paid. Well, it has been 2 months of calling customer service to no avail. I visited the Fairfield store (where I purchased the couch) and spoke to a manager about my issue. I showed him the photos of my couch and he agreed that it was a manufacturers defect and escalated it to Alfred (GM) who basically told me to call customer service, which is the BLACK HOLE OF HELL!!!! It is August and nothing has been done. I have retained an attorney and Channel 7 is going to visit their store on a Saturday to find out what their plan is to resolve this issue. The chatbot "Jenny" scheduled the delivery for my order on a specific date, and I confirmed it. On the day of the delivery, at 5:22 in the morning, I received a text message from Ashley with a link to track the delivery truck. I followed it in real-time, trusting that my order was on its way. Hours passed, and I kept waiting. I waited and waited, but the delivery never arrived. Instead of my order, I got a message from "Jenny", informing me of a delay and promising to notify me when my order was near. But the delivery never happened... because the delivery NEVER EXISTED. According to Ashley, it was all due to a "mistake" by "Jenny". Really? A total disaster. I wasted an entire day waiting for a ghost delivery. How is it possible that, in the days leading up to my delivery, not a single flesh-and-blood employee at Ashley noticed Jenny's mistake? I bought a outdoor furniture set in July 2025 I bought it through the Fairfield store Nj . I ask if I was able to get a discount on the set and the sales consultant said no . Within 30 days of my purchase it went on sale $550 less then what I paid this was a significant difference, I called Ashley online and they told me if had bought online they would of adjusted the price within the 30 days but because the call went to a store they wouldn't adjust . I think this is an unprofessional way of doing business the parent co would not back the sale to accommodate a good customer who has sent many people to them . First, the front door was locked and no employees in sight. Had to call Ashley and they called this location. Then 5-6 staff came to the door and said this has happened several times. Why not solve it? If you know the door is broken, make sure an employee is stationed at the front of the store to let customers in. We shouldn't have to be knocking on the windows and calling the main number. Trevor introduced himself and we informed we were just looking and didn't need help. We bought a sectional and sofa from Ashley's furniture with the extended warranty and within a few months the fabric started to pile and the cushions sunk in completely on the sectional. On the sofa the corner became unstitched. We tried to submit a claim with the extended warranty and they denied it. They had us send in pictures to claim with Ashley Furniture and it's been over a month and no one has followed up with us. We even tried to go to the store and they refuse to help us because it's after the sale. I think it's absolutely absurd that the couches are less than 8 months old and they are starting to fall apart. We are a family with no pets or young children so we do not have high traffic on the furniture. I would advise people to never shop there because their furniture is terrible and their customer service is even worse! read more

Don't bother searching through Ashley's web site. Only products sold at the store where the purchase was made can be selected. We originally purchased a high-end pair of recliners that turned out to be very uncomfortable. The replacement we chose was $1,000 less and we had to find other pieces to make up the difference. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS LITERALLY THE WORST I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. The store said the items would be available for the end of December, which worked well with my closing and move in timeframe so I went ahead with the order. I put down a deposit that day and signed paperwork that clearly states " The merchandise you have ordered is promised for delivery on or before 12/22/20" (see attached photo) 4 days before the scheduled delivery (12/18) I received a call me from Ashley customer service telling me that only 1/2 of my sectional and my mattress will be delivered and the other 1/2 of the sectional is not available until THE 2ND WEEK OF JANUARY. Then I received a text message the next day 12/19 - 3 days before my scheduled delivery - confirming that my entire order would be delivered (see attached screenshot in the text messages). I reached out to my sales rep Jamie to confirm and she said "I believe that will be everything". So I was under the assumption everything was good to go. (see texts attached) The day before delivery (12/21) they call me to tell me that actually my mattress is "defective" and they will only be delivering 1/2 my sectional. 12/22 only HALF of my sectional was delivered. 3 days before Christmas when I had counted on these items. I had family coming from out of town and this was beyond disappointing. It is now 1/6... my mattress was delivered yesterday, 2 weeks LATE. I called to find out what the status is with the other half of my couch since HALF OF A SECTIONAL WAS DELIVERED and they are telling me that it looks like the other half will not be available until FEBRUARY. WHY DID I, THE CUSTOMER, HAVE TO FOLLOW UP AND CONTACT THEM, THE RETAILER, ON THIS? Zero accountability for this BS - NOBODY proactively contacted me to address this INCONVENIENCE that is THEIR FAULT. ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME. I put this order in NOVEMBER 14th. I signed paperwork to Ashley Furniture committing to a date based on the AVAILABILITY the system was showing that day for 12/22. I put down a deposit. I have been told different things from every person I have spoken with and NOBODY has done ANYTHING for this absolute TRAVESTY. This is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting way of doing business. Ashley's furniture has warranties on their Sealy mattresses. Our mattress (and bed) broke within three years. We have requested them to fulfill their warranty on the mattress and they have given us the same run around for weeks. At one point they tried to tell us that the manufacturer is responsible but Sealy's said that this was untrue and that it is Ashley's obligation. Ashley's had a technician who came out and confirmed that the mattress had at least three broken coils and that the mattress was garbage. They have closed our case after the technician visit then said they wanted us to restart the process to have another technician come out and us to send the pictures again. We did this at least 3-4 times. In addition, I'd like to add that our bed from Ashley's broke within a year of purchase. We did not go through Ashley's for repair based on the horrendous reviews. We hired a previous Ashley's employee who told us that Ashley's purposely does not include the proper supports on the bed and want customers to call within the warranty time and sends out a technician to fix it but they only put a bandaid on it (on purpose) so that customers are forced to buy a new bed. read more

I got a couch, ottoman and side chair for my new apartment in February 2020. Ahmed was our sales rep, and he was excellent. The sales reps seem extremely pushy when you walk through the door, and we were SO thankful to be paired with him. He was helpful but also gave us space and checked in with us periodically throughout the store. Thank you for being you, Ahmed! This is my second couch from Ashley's. I can't say any are great quality - the cushions and pillows lose fluff, the side chair has metal sticking out of the arm, but this is all expected for the price. If you're looking for furniture for a few years, this really does the trick. It's nothing long-term, but it certainly looks beautiful for a short period of time. My biggest recommendation is to negotiate, know your highest price point, and identify if you want furniture for long term wear and tear or short term. It's been 2 years since the purchase and the furniture is falling apart. They keep denying my claims saying that they don't cover the frame of the couch??? That's the whole couch!!! My first time visiting an Ashley furniture store and i was pleasantly surprised by the show room. They have so many great designs, it made choosing out furniture slightly difficult. Elvyn took care of me during my visit. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and kind. I picked out a dining table set with chairs/bench, and 2 bed frames from here. When I noticed a better deal online i was able to speak with Elvyn and he price matched for me to ensure i got the same deal. And i also ended up changing one of the bed frames on my order and he made it so easy! I am happy with the service i received at the store and via telephone/email exchanges. This is the worst customer service ever. They use an awful delivery service also. Don't shop here or online. They will be very quick to charge your credit card and very slow to ship your items or give refunds. I am still waiting on some furniture for 2 months now. Each time they give me a new date. Oh, but they have no problem snatching up the money from my credit card though. No, not a pre-auth, a sale. And no problem taking extra money too. I am overcharged over $700 and guess who won't answer my calls now? The worst delivery service ever, they are very crabby and moody and I can see why. They show up when you don't know they are coming. I was lucky that I happened to be home when they were sent out on the wrong day for delivery. They are coming from central NJ where cases are increasing but not properly masked and sweating/breathing all over items (a chinstrap or a nose sticking out doesn't stop COVID, doesn't everyone know that by now?). Dispatch sends out stuff for delivery that is damaged, so it has to be returned and they end up making a trip for nothing (and I end out handing out tips for no furniture). The warehouse sends out items that need to be assembled, but does not give them screws. They ended up asking ME for parts, and then rigged something together that damaged the furniture. I have to return it, but has anyone called, texted or emailed me regarding this after the initial call? No. The saleswoman here just told me to call the main number, once she had her commission, I ceased to exist to her and she ignores me. No one, and I mean no one, returns calls. If you call (and like this morning when I was caller #20) ask for a call back like the system prompts, you will not receive it. I have been trying to get through on all the numbers to a human for several weeks. I would even take a letter sent by pony express at this point. There is no email that you can use to get through either. Chat does not answer. They are independently owned, so don't expect any help in resolving extra credit card charges from corporate. The online items that I ordered were so shabby. $100 in bookcases were made of PLASTIC. I returned them a month ago, but they still have this money too. I will have to end up doing a chargeback through my credit card company. No it's not because of COVID. Other businesses I ordered from managed just fine. The quality of their furniture is complete garbage. Spent over $2500 on 11/10/21 for a dining set that came with a broken chair (they didn't even tell me it was broke and fixed with screw and white out to hide it!!), every screw that assembled the chairs and table were all loose as well. How do you give someone a broken chair that's not even fixed professionally?!?!?! Then my daughter buys a bedroom set that comes broken. Over $4,000 in furniture here and they both came broken!!!! And to think, we only came to look... Definitely do some research online before coming in. Just so you'll have a rough idea of the bottom line. Came in earlier today and was greeted by a salesperson named Ahmad. Initially you can only do so much online it's better when you see your possibilities in person. So he left us alone and we picked and chose what interested our taste buds. We put a bedroom set together rather quickly ( king size yay), then worked on the living room. Coffee table and two end tables were next. These were not part of a living room set that we liked. So had to mix and match with a couch, love seat and a chair and 1/2. Because it wasn't a set we paid a little extra. Look, I'm a bottom line kind of person and always will be. But if you find what you like, it is a no brainer. How often does one do this kind of shopping? Lastly was a firm mattress for our bedroom set. Now this was a little expensive. But finally after 3 or 4 options we found one to our liking. Then the haggling began. Extras here and Presidents' Day sale later we saved a little over 4k. The best part is they will deliver and set up our furniture for $299. All I have to do now is give them a three days notice. It certainly can't come soon enough. read more
