Summary: ok prices, absurd policies Buying furniture is inherently a stressful process - deciding between decor styles, fabrics, sizes - the least a store can do is ensure a seamless purchase experience. However, this Ashley location (and I'm sure many others) does not fit the bill. For starters, you need to separate the online version of Ashley Furniture from this brick and mortar location. The prices on identical items are typically 10-20% cheaper online than in the store. I went to buy an accent chair there and found the sticker was almost $100 more expensive in store! Luckily, if you let them know, they will honor the online price - as long as it's BEFORE you buy. You see, this brick and mortar location also allows for NO RETURNS. So if you buy something and find it doesn't fit as you expected - too bad. It's yours. This only applies if you buy in person. If you buy online, you have 30 days to return. I wound up buying the 2 chairs but if I had to do it all over again I would go to a different place that had a better buying experience. And certainly I would prefer to go to a store that allowed returns. read more

If i could give zero stars i would. We purchased a couch on May 5 2021 and also purchased the 5yr protection plan for an extra 200.00. Well a little over a year just in time for the manufacturers warranty to run out the couch has worn like we've had it over 10yrs. we put a claim in with the 3rd party who handles the warranty and were denied. Went to the store and were told basically the year is up any questions would have to be taken up wuth the 3rd party. IN short customer service is horrendous. Furniture is worse. To all Ashley Furniture clients, I want to express my horrible experience. I went with my husband to the store in fairfield in mid-September and bought a dinning set, the shipment was for Sep 21 for which my husband and I took the day off. When they arrive we see that they only brought the chairs and not the table, according to them, someone called me and I agreed that they would leave only the chairs without the table, which is totally a lie. As we did not receive them, I was calling to find another fast shipping date and they gave it to me until October 12, I accepted with the frustration that I had no dinning for my family. Oct 12 arrives which I asked again for the day off. The table arrives and it was totally broken, my frustration and anger was so great that I decided to accept the chairs only, which I checked and I did not see anything broken, my husband arrives in the afternoon and turns the chairs upside down and two of They had broken legs and the other had a stain, we immediately went to the store and asked to speak to the manager (a hairy man not very nice) I explained my problem and demanded that he please cancel my entire order because it was so much my frustration and such poor customer service that I did not want to continue dealing with the store. To all this he told me that they couldn't cancel it because I had already accepted the chairs, so I had to reveal myself and mention that I was going to sue them. The manager dares to tell me that out of courtesy he was going to try to approve the cancellation but that he did not assure me anything ... very angry I returned home to wait for the call that they would make me in 7 days, they never called me and then I called and they told me that my case was approved and on Oct 25 they would pick up the chairs and give me my refund ... I asked for the day off for the third time and on October 25 and I see that they are bringing the table again and there is no order to pick up the bad chairs that they left me and if they take them without an order, it is most likely that they are They will charge me, I still have the chairs in my garage and my husband is dealing with this situation that I do not know where it will end ..... We ordered a bedroom set from Ashley online. When it arrived the double dresser was damaged on top. I called, and they ordered another. on August 11,2021 two men came to deliver the dresser. They had it out of the box, carried it in through the foyer pushing it along our new vinyl floor, and into the bedroom. the one man went out to the truck and I told the other who was inside to look at the floor. He said he was going out tho the the one in the truck, and they took off!!! For nearly two months I have been calling, they promise that someone will get back to me, and they never do!!! Team that assisted my family and I were so helpful and assisted us in picking what we thought would be the best pieces for our homes. This review is only for corporate. Giving 0 stars to customer service. First, there is nothing "white glove" delivery about the extra you pay for in store. Careless delivery crew who doesn't care about your furniture. Received a defected arm chair, noticed unfortunately after the crew had delivered. Claimed the issue right away the same day. Have been going back and forth with them for two weeks now. Only resolution is them offering to keep sending technicians to my home instead of replacing the piece (as they should if you are expecting to receive brand new beautiful furniture). At one point the furniture is no longer crisp and new after so many hands rip through the couch to try to fix. Spoke to a manager who proceeded to rudely tell me I did not pay full price for my furniture as I was financing it (I was trying to make a point that if a customer is paying so much money for their furniture they should receive top notch service from a company that claims to have such great "service".) it doesn't matter if a customer is paying cash or financing, they are still paying. We purchased our nursery room furniture back in November in order to have our newborns room ready and set for her upon arrival. Well, we are now in April and still going back and forth with the worst customer service and management provided by Ashley out of the Edison customer service location. We spent hours upon hours on hold and speaking with different reps on getting pieces replaced due to manufacturers defects and poor handling in the warehouse. I have attached photos. Each drawer on both dresser and chest have issues. My husband had to remove glides on three drawers to rescrew them in to align with other drawers. Some drawers have the "lock mechanism" some do not. Some drawers close some do not. Most drawers even wiggle as you open and close them. Wood in dresser base is cracked. Wood in Mirror has a crack. Each drawer is not "finished" the same way at all. Clumps of paint, chopped pressed wood, scratches, scuffs. CS puts you on hold for eternity. Managers are NEVER available always assisting other customers, I WONDER WHY? the few intelligent people I spoke to in CS apologize for the situation but YET nothing gets done. I'm promised white glove inspection by management before pieces leave. Well guess what, pieces arrive and ? THEY ARE DAMAGED. my husband and I made numerous accommodations to be home for their delivery and replacement and technicians but months later, we are still dealing with trying to get a damage free set for the nursery. We had a nightstand delivered SEVEN times. We settled on the last one bc it was the best one we received and but still need the drawer to be replaced as it was damaged. The top of the nightstand was scratched & covered up with paint. I figured let me keep this piece it's not going to get any better. But when we received our latest exchange yesterday for the chest and it came damaged and the mirror came damaged I nearly lost it. I had emptied out the chest, removed all her delicate decor from top of dresser all for nothing. Just more frustration. I and my family have never heard of such POOR MANUFACTURING &'service. Summary - ask for Ray (Reinaldo ) and he will take care of you . He helped us place a large order 2500 miles away and gave us great discounts . Full version - bought a house in NJ while still living in CA , and we wanted to have furniture arrive the day we moved in . Ashley has stores near us both in CA and NJ so we found the bedroom sets , mattresses , living room set and dining room set we liked at the CA store , but because all Ashley stores are independent franchises we needed to call a NJ Ashley store to place the order (or do an online order, which we did not want to do ). We really wanted to see and touch all the items to look at quality colors and fabrics and finishes , so shopping online wouldn't work unless we saw it first . We picked out what we liked at the CA store then took screenshots of all the items on the Ashley website . The website prices are lower than the store prices. But the stores will match it . Also lots of other stores sell Ashley furniture online so google all the items and if you find another store with a better price they will match it , plus we bought during Presidents' Day and received an extra 10% off everything . Another reason to buy from the store rather than online was that if you buy online some items are delivered by UPS , and others by local delivery men who assemble the furniture . Since we would not be there until the day of delivery we wanted everything to arrive at once and be assembled . Ashley will not assemble items that come via Ups even if some of your order ships via UPS and others are locally delivered . We received several confirmations before delivery day and on delivery day items arrived on time and in perfect condition . I see many horror stories of people who received incomplete orders or damaged furniture but we got lucky I guess. Within an hour of getting off the plane and into our new place the delivery men had arrived , and another hour later everything was set up and assembled. We tipped the three men $20 each for their courtesy and effort . At first they were concerned the front door must be taken off the hinges to fit the sofa and loveseat , but they managed to get them in without touching the door So why only 4 stars instead of 5? The quality of the furniture could be better . The headboards on many of their cheaper bed sets are weak fiberboard and will move if pressed against . We got a higher quality set for the room which would see more use , which is sturdy and cost about $300 more- but really it's unacceptable for Any bed to have a weak headboard . I see a lot of complaints about their bonded leather furniture not lasting , and the different prices in store compared to online means some people get taken advantage of . To have a good experience you need to be a savvy shopper plus get lucky with an undamaged delivery , so there are some factors not within your control . read more

Literally wish I could give this ZERO stars. They have the WORST customer service. Not at all helpful, or efficient, or HONEST. You have to badger them, repeatedly, to get any sort of adequate response. Everyone feigns ignorance or they pass the buck to someone else (wrong department, wrong person, the person you need isn't here, etc). They give you the runaround all the time. As for the furniture, some of them are very well made, while others are very clearly cheap as hell. And for delivery and technicians sent to fix whatever was wrong/ruined/damaged: there's a lot of attitude to them. I asked them if they could center the bed and the night stands and the guy said, 'you said you wanted them here' and I go, 'yes, and now that I'm looking at it, it's not centered against the wall'. There was a lot of back and forth in Spanish between the two guys and they finally yanked on the bed violently and it made a creaking noise. And once they hooked up the base for the tempurpedic bed, I peeked under the bed and all the wiring was just a mess. I can't even get to it because the constructed bed is too heavy to move. They also left their boxes and tarps for me to clean up. They'll tell you that you have x amount of days to return anything that doesn't quite work out. They neglect to tell you that the base for the tempurpedic bed, which is thousands of dollars, is not included in that. They also neglect to tell you that once you put a mattress on top of the base, the massage option is dulled to a very mild vibration. Once you start quoting them, they'll give you the runaround. We also asked them to remove something from our original list PRIOR to delivery. It only took NUMEROUS phone calls for them to respond to our inquiries as to why we haven't seen it reflected in our payments. We were still being charged for furniture we didn't even have in our home, and didn't want. So keep an eye on your bill. Frustrating company to work with. Surprised to see all the negative reviews. I had a very pleasant experience here. I worked with Kenny who was really friendly (without being overwhelming) and easy to work with (and sent a card after the order was complete which I thought was really nice). Recently purchased a bed, dresser and nightstand. If you buy several items, you're likely to get a discount. I like their selection - it's inexpensive and not the utmost quality but also not cheap junk. Some of the other salespeople did seem a bit aggressive so I can understand where some of the other reviews came from. Delivery proceeded without a hitch. Their protocol is to have the delivery guys call an Ashley rep and put the customer on the phone to make sure that they inspected the furniture and found no defects. Don't forget to ask them for a Certificate of Insurance request form if you need it for your building. FYI: They do not deliver on Mondays. Also, delivery is mandatory, their warehouse is located elsewhere so you can't just drop by and pick something up read more

My wife and I had a great experience until our furniture was delivered. Our bed that we ordered came with 2 left legs for the headboard so it could not be put together. When speaking with their dispatch rep Anthony Strachan-Butler he said we would have the part with in 7-10 days. Here we are 2 and a half weeks later and still nothing. After calling their customer service they said it takes 7-10 days to process the order, not to have it delivered. Once the order is processed there is no tell when we would get the part. They don't know when it will be shipped, nor do they know where it's being shipped from. Yet we still have to pay for a bed we bought, that we don't have. Walked into the store and was greeted by a young man. We knew what we wanted..so just started testing out sofa's. When we found something we liked, we called the young man over who greeted us at the door but he was with another customer. Kim Mink came over and said "Jason" was busy with another customer but he asked her to see if she could help us. Boy did she! Kim was honest, very knowledgeable about sofa's, fabric, depth, best sellers, new and old sofa's, 16 years of experience! Did you know some sofa's are on the showroom floor for a lot of years? That effects the cushion on the seats and arm rests because many people have sat in them over the years. We found and liked different coffee and end tables on the other side of the showroom..and wanted to see how they would look with the sofa and loveseat we liked...so I figured what the heck I can ask Kim if we could bring 1 end table and coffee table to the sofa and loveseat we liked on the other side of the store...to see if they would go together. She said absolutely and we carried them over, moved the set out of the way they had staged there, and we ended up loving the way it looked! Kim asked if I wanted a job there, lol ! So we ordered the sofa, loveseat, (2) end tables and a coffee table. We could have gotten delivery in 3 days but chose (5) days. All the furniture arrived today. The (3) men who delivered our furniture treated our furniture respectfully and with care. They didn't rush in getting our furniture in the door, to get out to make the next delivery. They asked if I wanted anything moved around (after I told them where to put everything)! How nice! This was A+ experience for me all around. If I was critical about anything...it would be the numerous phone calls and e-mails I got from Ashley's asking me to confirm delivery.
