I purchased a Loloi Dominic runner from Urban Natural on November 26, 2025 for over $1,000. About…read moreeight months later, a bright pink line began appearing down the center of the rug. It originated on the underside and slowly bled through to the face. It's a manufacturing defect-: stencil/guide-line ink migration. I contacted Urban Natural on September 6, 2026, with photos. I explained clearly that the defect emerged over time. Their team said they'd review it with the workshop. Then they went silent for a month. I had to follow up on October 6 just to get an answer. Their response: denied, citing Loloi's 7-day claim window for defects. That window applies to damage visible at delivery. It cannot apply to a progressive defect that takes months to appear. A 7-day window is meaningless for a latent manufacturing flaw. I sent a detailed escalation email that same day, explaining the defect, why the 7-day policy doesn't apply, and requesting replacement or refund. Amanda responded: "Email has been received. I will send this to the appropriate parties." That was it. No substantive response. No follow-up. Nothing. This is not how a retailer should stand behind the products it sells. The rug has a known manufacturing defect. The policy they're hiding behind is being misapplied. And the communication has been dismissive at every turn. If you're considering buying a high-end rug from this store, be aware that if something goes wrong months later, you may be on your own.

Great gift store in Upper Montclair. The service is always very friendly…read more I can always count on finding a great gift for my mom or grandmother there. While much of the store is not exactly my taste, they do have very pretty items which have universal appeal. They carry lots of great lines, like Michael Aram, Juliska, Simon Pierce and Vera Bradley. They do wedding registries, and usually get to know the brides and their tastes -- so even if you don't find something in your budget on the bride's registry, they will suggest something else she might like. Overall, a friendly home decor & gift shop, with great personalized service.

Stopped in while visiting the area. They have a thoughtfully curated assortment of unique home…read moredecor/gift items, and baby clothes/gifts. I had a positive customer service experience and saw a lot of fun items. Pricewise I'd say there's a decent range, with more items leaning towards the expensive side, which is pretty typical of the area. This would be a great place to visit if you're looking for a nice gift or something unique to add to your home. The embroidered state/city/school pillows and dishtowels in the back are really beautiful (but again, investment pieces for sure). I see a lot of reviews remarking on rude service - I had a very friendly experience in that regard but another customer was comically snooty and rude - refusing to move to the side to share the walkway and then swearing when her oversized bag brushed against mine - not the fault of the store at all - I just wonder whether some of the perceptions about customer service here are a broader reflection of the larger persona of the region more than any kind of personal vendetta as some reviews seem to suggest.
