Came in to pick up an online order. Checked in before l walked through the doors. Extremely slow at the register, the store wasn't busy at this time. Two cashiers, three customers ahead of me. How about have the third associate jump on register three?! I'm sure she can move around. She wasn't in the front of the store when l walked in. I have no problem waiting, this was just unnecessary. I came here on my day off, I needed some more summery clothes. The place is big has 2 floors and a wide selection of clothing from sleep wear to evening dresses. It is organized very well and there is a huge sale room with large discounts . In addition to clothing they also have makeup, jewelry, and household accessories . I ended up trying on a few dresses and shirts the associate helping me named Jessica was super helpful and attentive . Although the store does not have shoes she helped me order some online . I ended up buying a dress and a shirt both are good quality and the material is cotton which I love. The price really reflected how well made the items are and how good they look! I really believe you get what you pay for here they are always changing up their displays and have so much to offer ! Really great place to go shopping , I highly recommend! read more

I love the layout of this store. Very spacious. The lighting is warm, not too harsh. Easy to find an associate for assistance. The cashier cleaned the POS keypad in between customers. Elevator is located in the back hallway of the first floor if you are unable to use the stairs. I bought a glass water bottle with a silicone-ish sleeve during my visit and it was cracked, leaking water, less than 1 week later from a very low drop onto carpet. Annoyed to say the least. I came this morning to the store with full intention of buying pants. Initially, one of the sales reps was amazing assisting me with sizes and setting up my fitting room. Then at the fitting room, one of the sales rep was nice and the other was so condescending she just made the whole shopping experience bad. I asked about the length of one of the pants I was trying on and her immediate response was "I don't know", then later on she makes the comment that "I have been in the fitting room for too long" when there was only one other customer in the fitting rooms. Truthfully, such a rude comment for her to say especially as a busy mom I barely have time to go shopping for myself. Finally, I asked for more pants of the same type and she was once again so condescending that I was regretting going there. If it wasn't for the first customer rep and the cashier I would've given this store a zero. So for next time, please do not respond with "I don't know" and never rush a customer in the fitting room. read more

Wonderful location of the hustle and bustle of Montclair on Bloomfield Avenue with giant window with a lofty warehouse with exposed brick. Charming building. People working here are very friendly and helpful. I bought a nice pink salt massage ball and it is great. read more

Been a customer here for years but today they lost my business. I would rather go somewhere further away then stop in here ever again. Two stars because some of the staffs are actually pretty nice and helpful. But it only take one, and in my case on Sunday 4/16 during the morning shift-two, condescending and dismissive associates at the cash register to make me want to take me money elsewhere. My wife loves Anthro--so I do, too, because it makes Valentine's Day, etc gift buying so easy: buy the gift card, sit in one of their comfortable chairs until she is done, then off to one of Montclair's many good restaurants. If the store added a tv for the waiting period, I would give them 5 stars (10 if they added snacks)! read more

The staff here is great!! They helped me find a really cute dress. Super helpful and sweet. Today they also had to deal with a rude AF customer who was trying to take advantage of Anthro's COVID19 return policy to return YEARS old merchandise. She was extremely aggressive and using foul language towards both staff members at check out. It was gross behavior and I regret not calling her out. So shout out to the Anthro staff for being really helpful to me and really professional towards someone so entitled she attacks those providing her customer service in a global pandemic?? This is one of my favorite spots to go with my favorite person on the planet, and it's practically right across the street! (I only go here with her in tow, because, well, it's pretty much a woman's store an' all, but there are great things a dude with some flair for style would definitely take an interest.) If you know Anthropologie, you know their unique-type items from women's clothing to household furnishings. Admittedly, I find this place a bit expensive, but they have a Clearance room that I always check out and have found some deals on awesome items. I may have even paid full price a couple times. items i have purchased here: -a couple drinking glasses -a duvet cover -a fedora -a spoon holder thing for the stove -a hanging lamp -numerous handkerchiefs -a throw pillow -body spray All these things were very unique in style. Even if I don't find something for myself I always have a great time looking at everything - and the store is a really beautiful space. If I win the lottery I want to buy this building and live here. And I'm keeping the beautiful green leather sofa upstairs. oh yeah! the people that work here are mad nice/helpful too! read more

This is my favorite Anthropologie location. It's quaint, spacious, and smells really good as soon as you walk into the door. The aroma reminds me of happiness and sophisticated hipsters. Brilliant combination. The only reason I give 4/5 stars is because their sizing is all over the place. Not only that, but I never found a dress that fits me in Anthropologie and end up trying on an array of sizes. Their dresses are definitely not for the curvy girls of the world. An employee at this location also complained about the sizing. I once tried a skirt on and the employee brought me sizes 0-10. Hey, I felt great about fitting in a size 0, but consistency would be much appreciated. There are also times when the employees are not as kind, almost like they follow you around thinking you might steal something. No bueno. But I will still go back again and again. read more

I love Anthro! And I love this store!! I can't afford most of everything in it, but that's not the point. From simple, classic pieces to quirky and colorful, there's always something here for every mood and every girl. I have been to a few different Anthro locations, in different states, but I'm most comfortable with the layout and selection of this industrial and lofty space. Also, the staff here isn't all on top of you so it creates a very comfortable browsing, shopping and fitting room experience. I wish my entire paycheck could go here every week (it wouldn't buy much! think $24 socks, $78 t-shirts, $148 simple cotton dresses!) but as it stands, I only come here for the sales rack upstairs, or when there's a great store-wide sale, or when I get my 15% birthday coupon, or receive a generous gift card. read more

Anthro Ho disclaimer- Anthropologie is my favorite store ever. Most of my wardrobe is from here. I've probably been to dozens of different Anthros. They have girlie clothes, cute accesories, and great gifts for the home. This is a good Anthro that I would stop by if I was in the area again. I ended up here by searching their website for a specific item in store. This location had what i needed, so I went! They held it for me longer than I thought they would, so that's a plus. The store itself is very spacious, which is good on one hand because you're not bumping into people, but bad because it can take awhile to find a salesperson. read more

One of the better branches of Anthropologie I've seen. Amazing space itself (large, industrial warehouse type vibe), plenty of couches/chairs for boyfriends (huge plus), solid music playlist and great selection. Just an overall relaxing and cool atmosphere; which is more than I can say about most of its competitors. I'd go back here anytime. read more

I just wanted to give a rave review to the Anthropologie store located in Montclair, NJ. Although I have shopped at multiple branches, including stores in NY, NJ and Florida, both stand-alone stores and stores in malls, the Montclair branch is by far the best. The staff is invariably friendly and helpful, whether on the floor or at the register. I do not usually review stores but this was my first time in an anthropologie and I liked it. Lots of stuff to pick up and play with, sniff and feel. Got meself a lovely orange jacket with furry collar for $99 instead of $200. This is a great place for lovely casual clothes if you are thinish, lots of brightly colored skinny jeans and little cardigans. My orange coat has a bit more room in it. It would have been nice to be pampered a bit more and recognised and praised for coming back later that day with a friend and more money. Lovely selection of perfumes and it would not have taken much cajoling to get me to buy a range of Tocca smellies. read more

This store has two floors and quite a bit of clothing, although sometimes it's hard to find certain things that were on the website. I went to Anthropologie today to find a dress. When I walked in I was greeted by an employee standing at the front of the store, which was nice. After that however, none of the employees could be bothered to help me. In fact, I started walking towards an employee to ask for assistance and she turned around and walked away! Then later, I was looking at a purse that was on a table with clothes draped over it that needed to be put away (presumably from the fitting rooms). An employee that I assume was a manager (she was telling other employees what to do and looked a little older than the other girls working there) came over to the table I was at, grabbed the clothes and walked away without asking if I was finding what I needed. I have worked retail for many years and know how it can be, but the store wasn't busy and I felt ignored. I did find a dress that would have worked for me but I didn't buy it because of their poor customer service. The store was neat and organized, which is nice, but doesn't make up for their lack of customer service. read more
