I've never used 'THE GOAT' in a Yelp review, but this Homegoods location is the GOAT (greatest of all time). I've been to many a Homegoods in my time, and let me tell you -- they are not all created equal. This is by far and away the best location that I've seen. The store is absolutely huge and the selection is unparalleled. There is a big section with real furniture, and you can walk away with anything from a couch to a dining set. And then there are aisles and aisles of goods... for the home. Anything and everything imaginable. Yes this is what every HG offers, but here it just feels... *different*. For the holidays they have at least three aisles filled with holiday wrapping, gift boxes, gift tags, holiday entertaining goods and more. There are also several aisles of speciality food items, so this is a great spot if you are looking for a fun food related gift... everything from truffle oils to fancy coffee. This is a Pretty Good HomeGoods Store and I find myself shopping here every once in a while. I like looking for anything Cool that might catch my eye. I find this store to be a bit small for this chain but still they have alot of stuff to choose from. Service is usually helpful unless the store is hyper busy, in which case 'you're on your own'. They share the same Parent Company as Marshalls, TjMaxx, Seirra Trading Post, and HomeSense. The last two mentioned are situated right next door for your shopping convenience. Prices are fair for the most part and definitely check out the clearance sections you'll be glad you did. read more

Agree with others ... This is a sloppy store. Almost nothing is marked with a price which is a pet peeve of mine. I looked at at least a dozen things I might want to buy but that had no pricetag. Oh well. I bought a comforter set here ... Brought it home only to find that there were no shams in the package!! Guess I'll be stuffing this back into the package and returning it. Not happy. A lot of the items were broken or damaged ... Almost to the point where it looked like a yard sale. The store itself seemed like stuff was just thrown on shelves with no real order. I'd avoid this particular location if possible. They had some decent stuff but the worst selection of rugs and furniture I've seen at any HomeGoods. read more

I purchased like 20 panels of curtains that did not work. The staff was incredibly gracious during my return and were quite helpful. I also like that you can find so many amazing things for the home that are in keeping with my husband's teaching salary. It is a go to spot for me. read more

Perhaps I just don't get it. It's almost a Bed Bath and Beyond outlet store. They have an ever changing variety of well...home goods. Decoratives, cookware, furniture, bedding, rugs, you name it. Yet somehow I never quite seem to find anything I really need or want. This location is smaller than others in the chain, hence a smaller selection of goods. It's hit and miss. The prices are pretty fair for the most part, and there are bargains to be had. read more

Got a head start on one of my guilty pleasures, shopping for Christmas decorations. Very good selection and I hope that it stays this way. Sometimes these stores seem like everything has been picked through and thrown around. It's a really convenient location. My only gripe is that parking is an absolute mess on the weekends because costco is right near it. Be prepared to have to follow someone for a parking space. read more

Let me start by saying I LOVE Homegoods. However, this location leaves a lot to be desired. It is smaller than other Homegoods I have been to and seems to have less selection of items. I happened to be here once and wanted a small table. The table had no price. I searched high and low for an employee to help and just give me a price. I finally found a man and he gave me a price and told me to just take it up front. The table was metal and heavy, I received no assistance as I struggled to get it into the cart and take up front. I get to the front of the line and explain that there was no price and the price the man told me. Half an hour of confusion and radioing and several price changes later.... I have a price tag. What a nightmare! I REALLY wanted that table or else I would have walked out. The worst part of the entire experience occurred while I was waiting. The employees were chatting to each other about weekend gossip, drinking, and using the N word like crazy. The N word???!! In front of a customer?! REALLY!?! I don't care what race I happened to be, I found it offensive and inappropriate. Homegoods really needs to look into employee trainings and perhaps employing some more quality individuals. read more

I was so excited when I heard Home Goods was opening in East Hanover that when I told my friend, I laughed at the fact that I was excited for a home store to open instead of a new bar or restaurant. Anyone who knows Home Goods knows that it has some pretty great home decor, bedding, kitchen items, etc., even outside of Marshalls and TJ Maxx. The prices are awesome and the selection at this location is really good. Lots of variety and items to choose from. One bonus is the speed of their lines. I can wait in Marshalls for 20 minutes on the checkout line but here, I am in and out. A nice surprise, especially as the employees have all been pretty friendly as well. One drawback is the parking lot. While it's a private lot, it's in the Costco parking lot which on any day, albeit a weekend, is a disaster. read more

Quite possibly the worst home goods in terms of customer service that u have ever stepped foot into. First off approached the register looking for a price on a toy (no price tag)....cashier asks me if there were any others. If there were any others that had a price I would've brought them up as opposed to me asking you for one. She then calls an associate who strolled up and took forever to find something like that for a price check. Then the next item I brought up had no price tag, so she had to make the tag, which then rang up as not for sale. So she had to make another. Mind you all of this was going on as as the line formed and wrapped around the queue. Two other associates just stood around and were chatting as if there was no line at all. Lastly, I wanted to purchase a large arm chair so I went out to show her which one. She then asked why I didn't get an associate it being this up. Uhhhhh it's bc there are none here they are all hiding from doing any work. She then fumbled around looking for one. Lady if you can't get an associate to help you after you've paged them how am I supposed to? So 10-15 minutes later I made my three purchases and I swear never again. read more

So messy I could hardly walk through the aisles. And the employees were so rude, blocking the aisles with their carts of merchandise, and refusing to move as I walked by with my cart. This is my go to home goods typically. I may have to go elsewhere. read more

this is the worst homegoods store ever. i purchased a bunch of items and came home to realise the clock was broken AFTER i had removed / scraped one of the many stickers. There was still part of the bottom most (original) sticker on it. I went with the receipt to the store and they said the sticker on the clock was for a poodle statue (go figure) and they could not refund. finally after a lot of argument they found a small cheap clearance clock for $10 (even though i had no item on my receipt under $12.50). they remove the tag from that clock which they scanned and it came up as "glassware" instead of decor and gave me a store credit for $10 and then stuck that glassware sticker on the broken clock. After this incident, it was clearly obvious the staff does not care what sticker goes where, but when times comes for a return they will give you a hard time about mismatched sticker saying they did not do it. read more
