Is there any great Dollar Tree? HAHAHA no... But there are those that are better than most! And this is one of them! Wife, kiddos and I did some shopping here recently for some pool supplies and arts and craft supplies for the kids. Since the oldest is 18 months, we were looking for cheap art supplies like markers, paper, paint, glitter, glue, etc... We didn't care about quality! Inside is neater and cleaner than most that I have been to! So that is a great positive! Staff is also friendly enough. I don't think that I have ever been to one where the staff cares how the aisles look or if everything is where it is supposed to be... And this place is no different! People put things back wherever they feel, I admit I misplaced a few items as well. Most of the items we didn't want we gave to the cashier. They had just about everything that we were looking for. We picked up tons of pool supplies and many many items for my oldest to play with. All in all it is a decent Dollar Tree, if you are in the area and want to go to one, this is a good one to go to! This dollar tree was well stocked. I came here for some of my weekly snacks and treats. I get like $10 bucks worth of stuff every other week. Not much but just enough, lol. Staff was nice and friendly. read more

I went in to return two bottles of Cinnamon that are recalled and posted in two areas of their window. None of the employees including the manager knew what I was talking about. I tried to show them the posting on the window. They were very dismissive and would not look at THEIR posting. The cashier kept repeating to me that one of the bottles wasn't opened. I asked for a manager to come help me. The same guy who I showed the product to when I came in appeared. I asked him why isn't he and his staff aware of the recall and the cashier is rude and I don't want her assisting me. He ignored me and told her to just ring me up. I asked for their names because they weren't wearing a badge and she wasn't in uniform. They refused. A MaryAnn walked in I asked her his name she said Leroy. Calling the corporate office to complain is a joke! The worst attitudes and service!! I believe when you treat your employees right, they will treat your customers right. Dollar Tree you need to get it together. From the looks of this locations reviews, I'm not the only one who thinks it's a problem in that location! That's why your company is struggling. I'm in town for a week, visiting from FL. We have tons of Dollar Trees that accept returns. Renting a car. Bought a charge cable and charge port. Went back to the car, only to notice there was already a charge cable in there, plugged it in and my phone started charging. A min later, went back into the store with the receipt. "Mgr" told me they don't accept returns. I "donated" those two items to them and walked out very annoyed. A $2.50 return won't hurt a store's daily profit. SMFH. read more

This seems to consistently be one of the better Dollar Tree's. They almost always have what I'm looking for and even have things that the other ones dont. For example this store had Halloween props, decorations and even some costumes. They weren't anything to the compete with a Halloween store but they had it. The staff were ok and seemed to work at cutting down the long lines that seem to be something that comes with all Dollar Tree's too. Dirty, cannot move around. Tried to get a basket couldn't access them as boxes are stacked right in front. And employee saw me trying to get one and walked away and didn't even offer help. I like the small stuff selling for low price. Like other Dollar Store, you can find many non-essential daily products. On some shells, there are even good brands stuff like cleaning agents. The $1 frames are in good shape and why did I spend $9 for something with the same quality. It is also a good place for Halloween stuff as well. read more

I just came from here and the manager Gina was very rude because she had to break up two fights due to their water rule. I understand the rules that are set but the last thing customers need from you/your employees are nasty attitudes and a negative experience. We do not know what you go through day by day during this crisis but I will tell you this kindness goes a long way. Screaming at us (customers)or speaking to us in a hostile tone is uncalled for. This is the last thing we (customers)need. We (customers) didn't sign up for your retail position You(employee's applies for. I am sorry that previous customers caused you to have a bad day or week but everyone deserves to be treated with kindness. Thank you to the other manager that explained the limit on water afterwards and like she said negative attitude is like cancer it spreads quickly. read more

How can you not love the dollar store? I can set up a party for all of $10 from all the stuff I buy here. Balloons, plates, napkins, cheesy decorations...the works! It's a clean, bright store that carries incredibly useful products for pennies. Note cards, candy, holiday decor, wrapping paper, cleaning supplies, toothpaste. It's a plethora of stuff for a $1. Granted, they carry cheap junk, but you're likely not going here for major purchases. If you want some Pine Sol or gift boxes for only a buck, this is your store! read more

So Krystyne was my cashier yesterday April 28th in the afternoon , not a pleasant experience At ALL !!! I have to admit that I did use a 50 dollar bill for my 3.21 purchase . I'm in customer service locally and we frequent this particular Dollar tree roughly on a weekly basis . Unfortunately I had nothing smaller than the 50 dollar bill. So Ms Kristyne proceeded to ask me if I had a smaller bill , when I responded " no I'm sorry I don't " she then turned to walk in the office saying " You've gotta be f'n kidding me , as she snatches the 50 " . I double checked to see if a sign was posted stating that we don't accept 50 or 100 dollar bills but there was none. Needless to say I was at the last register next to the office where I could here the slamming and mumbling . When she gave me the change I just made sure to mention to her to have a great day . Working in customer service I know that you get aggravated and worn out however it's the career path we chose , I get screamed at on a daily basis and it's quite difficult not to loose my cool however she presented me with no form of customer service what so ever . If at all possible I'd like management to get this over to Kristyne at the East Hanover dollar tree . This will not stop me from coming however I'll be sure to avoid her line . read more

Always love a bargain at the dollar store. This location is great - for the products and value AND for the people. Not surprisingly for me, I lost my phone somewhere in the store while I was shopping. At a moments notice the employees and fellow customers came to my rescue and were helping me look for it.
