It brings back the best childhood memories. What sets this place apart is the vibe. The owners have created something truly special; the lighting is well-lit yet moody, creating a space that feels high-quality but completely unpretentious. Between the atmosphere and the experienced, welcoming staff, it's one of the few places I can walk into and immediately feel relaxed. The prices are right, the food is incredible, and the people behind the counter deserve the world. As Albany continues to grow, I truly hope the community continues to discover and support this spot. They are a local treasure.

I had the bún (rice noodles) with grilled chicken and charred prawns. The first bite was good: prawns were excellent, lightly cooked, moist with a smoky sweet char. The second bite included nicely herbed noodles with fresh, good quality lettuce, mint and cilantro. The third bite, and majority of the dish unfortunately, contained overcooked, chewy chicken. The fish sauce mixture lacked birds eye chili, acid and seasoning. Dry chicken dominated, but ironically components that require more delicate treatment were prepared well. The fried spring rolls (cha gio) were greasy, missing that blistered, bubbly skin.. My companion ordered a strawberry matcha and the vegetarian bún: nice and herby and green, but lacking that good flavor (chili, acid) in the Nước Chấm fish sauce. It shouldn't be solely up to sriracha to get a dish to the right flavors. In all, a nice spot aesthetically and friendly staff but while dishes had super fresh veg and some solid proteins, other proteins were overcooked and our dishes were missed some of the flavors we love to see in Vietnamese food.

I will usually stop in the area for a bite or drink. And now I've discovered my favorite place to stop in at when I'm in town! My favorite cuisine is Thai, and my favorite Thai food is fresh salad rolls with peanut sauce. That's what I ordered on a cold, blustery day..that with a pot of jasmine tea. It sure warmed me up! The service is great! The server was friendly with a beautiful smile. She checked with me to see if I needed more hot water or peanut sauce. Yes please on the peanut sauce! I will definitely be back!

Pad Thai - noodles were cooked well and fresh, no clumping - not too sweet or salty...some places make their pad thai too sweet, but this was just right - portion size was expected for reasonable prices - some beef pieces were really tender, and others were much chewier... perhaps different cuts of beef were used but there are ways to marinate the beef to tenderize everything evenly Panang Salmon Curry - this was my favorite - the curry had a nice tangy and creamy taste (almost like a tom yum) - the salmon slice was cooked nice and crispy which I wasn't expecting even though it was submerged in the curry - the veggies tasted like they were quickly blanched but I would have preferred them to be cooked through a liiiiittle more - again my preference I like the HUGE Thai tea they brought out. I drank some of it in person and took the rest home. It is on the sweeter end as Thai tea usually is. The lychee juice wasn't too sweet, just right! I'd come back if I was in the area. The panang salmon curry was the winner for me. I'd like to try their fried chicken bowl next time for $15 which seems like a good deal.

My gf had never been though we lived near for years. We got the onion rings to start and have never had rings like this. Their dipping sauce was super tasty. They were huge and almost a meal. The crunch on the was fantastic and the onions cut as you bit into them, not one pulled out. We split the chicken and waffles. Chicken just perfect and crunchy and the crunch is seasoned as well. One of those meals you shake ur head the whole time hoping the flavors won't stop. The portion was big and glad we split it. The waffle was crunchy and big. The cup of stew was very tasty as well.

Normally, I don't mind some more breading, but I also felt it was a tad too hard and salty. The texture of the waffle was also......hmmm, not terrible, but definitely not the sort of crispiness I want. More chewy than crispiness even when I first got it. My mom had special requests as usual, and this waitress was very nice as well, but the joint was not as accommodating as some others have been. They did have egg whites, but when she asked for more vegetables, the waitresses implied that the only vegetable they could provide was zucchini, and it could not be changed because......that's what the chef decided? After she got her entree (egg whites, cheese and zucchini?), my mom complained that her scramble was tiny, but got way too much toast. Looking at her plate, I feel like she had a point this time. I don't think this place is bad, but I've had a lot of good chicken and waffles in my time, and this falls slightly short imho.
