The food is good! Nothing bad to say. Pricing is fair! Would be a standard 4 but service (and tip jar) made it a 5! Would come again!

a drink in a plastic cup

My mom and sister never had boba before and wanted to try it so I figured while we were here we might as well get some. I went with a creamy coconut, mom got almond, and my sister got a hot Thai tea. I have to say I think my sister's drink was the most delicious, but it was a little weird having a hot boba as well as drinking a hot beverage through a straw. Don't get me wrong though, we enjoyed our little cups of sweet deliciousness that came in the cutest little cups. Service was fast and friendly too. Maybe I don't drink a bunch of boba to be too discerning, but if it tastes good I'm okay.

I went to the food truck last night at The Yard. Was expecting great things. Found my very expensive BobaBlast to be watered down and tasted just plain nasty. Customer service could use a hand also. As there weremany drinks sitting out with no takers - causing confusion for worker & myself! Maybe I got the wrong drink? Anyways- won't be visiting for a while.

I had the milk tea honey dew with honey boba and it was OK. It was pretty sweet and had a ton of ice in it. The tuna poke bowl was also OK - for $12 not a ton of tuna or crab mostly rice:

Honey Boba was good, Chewy and Sweet. However the blended drink itself was too watery and barely had the "powder taro" flavor. They use POWDER and NOT TEA on the drinks. I was excited to check this place out due to reviews and so I checked it out and driving to the "food truck" ambience was kind of tricky. Its on roosevelt on the left coming from 27 and cypress gardens. Its by the tire shop and on an parking lot across from this "hotel". You have to enter the hotel driveway entrance where hotel stayers door entrance and up a hill slant to reach the food truck station. Its not really a food truck but more so a "post". Its quite small and no customers there when I arrived. They had menus for Boba and Food such as gourmet topped hotdogs $5 to Nachos $5 to desserts like chocolate covered strawberry and cheesecake to mexican corn. However the lady helping me said no food available. So I pretty much ordered a Taro Blended drink. There are 3 options. Hot/Iced and Blended. Blended is more like a smooth slush or smoothie. They charge EXTRA for BOBA! To me that sucks because MOST boba places DO NOT CHARGE for boba. Also she didn't put much boba for the price they charge. The smoothness of the drink and the honey boba was awesome but the taste was too watery for what I am used to and barely had Taro flavor. I am not coming back because a drink close to $6 that is too watery and I was the ONLY customer that day is really unacceptable and waste of my drive time. Chibi or Quickly even Bambu gets my $ for ANY BOBA DRINK! No wonder this place is dead - overpriced and not that authentic!!!

I went here once in the short time in its existence and it was lovely. I had the rose milk tea, gyoza and spring rolls. All of it was excellent. However by the time I came back to try another tea and a poke bowl , they were gone. I drove by multiple times to see if they were open or at least back in that location but they're completely gone now. I reached out to them on Instagram and they informed me that the Riverview location wasn't getting enough business and unfortunately had to close :( in hindsight, their lack of business was probably a result of the constantly inconsistent hours that other reviewers have mentioned. Again it's all a shame. I don't know if there's another boba place in the area that was as good as Bobablastic. TLDR; great food but unfortunately this location is not around anymore.

It's located at a parking lot of a flea market place. I got the iced creamy thai tea with coconut jelly. (Some of the other things my friends and I tried to order off the the blended menu, they didn't have.) My thai tea wasn't very good. The taste was very strong and not sweet at all. I can tell powder was used to make my drink. The coconut jelly was the only thing I liked about, but that doesn't say much. I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend who loves or would want to try boba tea. Also, the menu prices are not accurate. I expected to pay $4.40+tax for my drink and ended up paying $5+tax.

Honeydew boba made without cream and no boba

Ordered honeydew boba, the guy working didn't put boba in so I told him and he tried to tell me that Boba was a brand not the tapioca balls. He refused to remake it. This will be the last time I ever tip up-front, before getting my order.

Tuna Poke Bowl

If I could I would eat their tuna poke bowl everyday. Best one I've found in Salem I think. And I know one of the reviews mentioned it's not an actual poke bowl. I could care less honestly, it's just really good plus the portion is nice for the price and it's quick. The rice always seems to be just made which I love, it's never cold by the time I bring it home. Every time I go the people are super nice too. I've had their boba tea also and it was just as great. Thank you guys for being kind and making good food.

While standing in the blowing wind & rain showing that not only do I have an order confirmation but also checked my bank to see a charge, she finally said she would make the order. No biggie. I grabbed a beer and waited because things like this happen. But the food!!! Holy moly was it terrible!!! Microwaved meatballs were still cold. The salad and breadstick that made one of the items an entree was embarrassing. It was literally the smallest salad I've ever seen. Ordered chicken on both Alfredos but only got it on one. Doesn't matter because the pasta was grossly undercooked and the sauce was bland. Microwaved lasagna was a big pile of mush. But the carrot cake was good. So there's that. I guess...

I tried this at The Yard…read more It was....alright. Kind of expensive, but not overly bad for a food truck collective. I ordered an El Dorado, with barbecue sauce, onion rings, bacon, and cheese (tomato, lettuce, and onion are listed on the board. I declined lettuce and tomato but didn't receive any raw or grilled onions, just an onion ring. That was fine. However, the menu said onion rings and onions.) I chose the tater tots to go with it. I also ordered a side of mozzarella sticks. Not overly long to receive. The food was hot and clearly prepared fresh. However, I have a hard time not saying that literally everything I ate started off frozen. Consider the hockey puck, perfectly formed, crisp edged hamburger patty. Honestly, it didn't really taste like anything. Just...chew. Frankly, it made me think of frozen Bubba Burgers. Maybe the Angus one, to be fair, but it still didn't really taste like anything. Complete lack of seasoning, except maybe some sprinkled on, which is usually indicative of a frozen hamburger puck. The bacon and cheese were okay. Barbecue sauce was non-descript. Tots were...potatoes. Again, I felt like they came out of a generic food supplier bag. And the picture on the menu versus the actual mozzarella sticks? Yeah. Not the same. I recognized them from my drinking days the moment they came out. The exact same frozen mozzarella sticks that they serve at most bars. Big, thick, breading comes off the cheese pretty easily as they cool down, big hunk of solid cheese that starts off stretchy and turns into a solid block when cold. My 12 year old son and I didn't finish them, and both me and that kid love fried cheese. Look, it wasn't horrible. But I didn't finish it. And wasn't sad about it. And it cost an awful lot for that, all things considered. If you're at the Yard and just want basic American style diner food, go for it. You'll get what you ask for. But I don't see any reason to go there. Honestly, I have a better burger from Wendy's. :/
