Always try to find Hawaiian food everywhere I go. This food truck needs to change their menu and try a new cultural dishes! None of their food is local from Hawaii nor do they stock a lot of the normal Hawaiian dishes; like their "local moco!" Tried to order three different items as the reply after every item was we are out. I final asked what do you have? All they had was teribeef. I would not recommend this food truck and I would also kick them off my lot and replace them with a food truck that is not only better with their dishes, but well stocked. read more

I was excited to try this place after finding it online as they had a fun play on spam musubi. Fried rice and spam ball called ono bombs. Great idea but mine had all rice and no spam.... I also ordered the kaula fries that had a tiny about of pork and half the small container had cabbage under my fries... you don't do that!!!! Get real. Get Seom Aloha definitely has some tasty food! I ordered the bulgogi beef and it came with a nice amount of rice and some macaroni salad. The food was warm and tasted great, however the beef was not the best quality. The biggest downsides that I noticed were that the food took a long time to prepare (I waited about 15m for one order, which is long for a food truck) and that the cashier seemed to be bored and not interested in being there. I wish I had read the reviews before spending my money here. It took 25 mins to get my single order, it was $16, and it was incredibly small portions of Kaluha Pork and Hula Chicken (three bites of pork and nugget-sized chicken thigh), and the Mac Salad was super dry and zero flavor. Two teenage boys were working the food truck - they were pleasant so customer service wasn't an issue. But I won't eat here again. read more

No Customer Service. They were out of Kahlua Pork, so I ordered Huli Chicken because it said it came with buttered cabbage. It was ready super fast, but the bottom of my box was cold, so checking I saw 1/2 of the box was macaroni salad, which I can't eat. I took it back and was asked if I told them I didn't want Macaroni Salad. I had no idea it came with Macaroni salad as it is not mentioned anywhere on the menu. I had asked if it came with rice because I didn't want rice, I just wanted the buttered cabbage and chicken, as was posted. Grudgingly they said they would redo it. This was a much longer wait. The finished product had a spattering of raw coleslaw under the the chicken. I guess that's what they call buttered cabbage. No apologies. Ordered a combo plate with chicken katsu and hula (teriyaki) chicken. It was THE SADDEST Hawaiian style plate I've ever had (and I've had plenty). For $16 I got 6 sad, overcooked, and burnt pieces of chicken katsu, 5 small pieces of hula (teriyaki) chicken, 2 scoops of rice, and 1 scoop of Mac salad. 2 of the 6 pieces of chicken katsu were not edible, as they were burnt and hard. The pieces that were edible only had a SLIVER of chicken. The hula chicken was flavorful but for $16 you should get more then 5 little pieces. A mini Hawaiian plate would have more than that! The katsu sauce was good but you only get one tiny container. I did take my plate back to the truck and asked if this was the normal portions for their combo plate. He looked at the plate and said that he just throws the chicken in the fryer and they shrink. I told him I lived in Hawaii and know all about katsu chicken, and I thought it was ridiculous how much they are charging for the amount they are serving. He looked at me and turned back to the grill and said "Have a great day!" Take your money to another food truck. They need to "Get Some Aloha" and stop ripping people off. Mahaloz! read more

There's better Hawaiian food in Salem. The first time I ate here was good. The second time was just so-so. This last time wasn't good. Rice was mushy. Hula chicken was fatty & way too much ginger. The Mac salad portion looked like they took a big bite out of it before serving it. But the fact they're playing explicit lyrics rap music on Halloween with the kids cruising around is a touch tacky. The bulgogi is not good it is not traditional bulgogi it is just thick somewhat flavored meat with thick ribbons of fat.

My go-to in town for Hawaiian good, the Chicken Katsu is super tasty and the Mac salad is killer.

We go to the yard at least 1x a week, various times of the day also. Every time I've gone, they are either out of food or closed. I don't suggest going because you cannot depend on them, Hawaiian time is the same quality of food, more options and way more reliable. read more

Food was ok but after two tries it still didn't get what I ordered. Not sure why. Also thought the portions were small for the price. The people are nice enough though. Just not very good service. If you are looking for a food cart that doesn't believe in hand washing look no further! Stopped by The Yard the other day and decided to try a little Hawaiian food. My wife and I placed our order after discovering at least two of the initial items we ordered where not available we proceeded to wait. As there was not a large crowd I was able to watch the two gentlemen in the cart proceed to work on our order. One gentleman, who later told me he was the owner, continually kept taking his phone out of his pocket with his bare hand checking/using it. The other gentleman who was also bare handed worked on our order and seemed unsure if some items were cooked thoroughly as he lifted it off the grill with a spatula to show to his coworker for affirmation. He continued to work on our dinner while doing other things in the kitchen and wiping his hand off on his chefs apron. I continued to watch, somewhat concerned but still all in. It wasn't until another customer came up and ordered and carried out a transaction that I tapped out. After the order was placed the cook went back and proceeded to work on our meal without washing his hands. Now, mind me, we are in an International Pandemic and my fears may be slightly heightened, but this was the final straw. I went up and asked for my money back, explaining to owner the reason and he was upset to say the least. After further heated discussion I was supposedly refunded my money on my card. I would have left it at that and just never went back, but five days later I have yet to be refunded. So, EAT AT OWN RISK! read more
