HomeGoods in Framingham is my happy place. I find quality items at great prices and every staff person from management on down is friendly and helpful. Pictured are two matching very firm bolsters purchased a month ago before my Achilles repair surgery. (Larger one in foreground came from HomeSense in Framingham a month prior.) These three bolsters have greatly aided my recovery as my ankle has needed to be elevated for most of every day for the first three to four weeks. I don't know what I would have done without them! Today I was very grateful to salesperson, Lucille. My shopping trip was almost complete, but I wanted to find attractive boxes for photo storage. I looked everywhere and had almost given up hope. I asked Lucille if there were more boxes "in the back."No," she said, "but let me look around for you." Big store, well-stocked and lots of employees at the registers. I stopped in only to make a return, but did a quick look around and they had a lot of great stuff (HG usually does, but to have this much before the holidays shows they have their act together). This location is just down the road from their HQ, so I imagine it really needs to be up to snuff at all times since you never know who might drop in (I wish all stores - not just TJX brands - took this attitude). Only downfall to this location is the hectic parking lot, but come early (i.e right when they open) so you can get in and out without wanting to shout at all the people who cannot drive! read more

Became a frequent visitor for their clearance gift items. I was able to score a lot of worthy products and most of them ended up being just $2. They got some decent kitchen ware and unique home goods and they are living up to their name. I got myself a skillet, and a tiny pan for poaching eggs. They turned out to be really good. Need to browse a lot to find your items though. read more

This place has a huge selection of puppy pet supplies! Beds, dishes, carriers, clothes, collars, leashes and more. Wow, I've been looking for a pet carrier for a while and even in the larger department stores I haven't been able to find much. I was pleasantly surprised to find low priced nice things along two huge rows. I couldn't even decide which ones to pick from. Words cannot describe how much stuff they have in here and how much they've managed to squeeze in a store! I was looking for something specific for my apartment, so I thought I'd try Homegoods. I'll start off by saying that there is so much to choose from that you will DEFINITELY be overwhelmed. I was so overwhelmed. Thankfully they categorize each section with big, hanging signs/letters so you can get a good sense of where the things you're looking for is. That's kind of where the organization ends, though. Granted a lot of people are digging through things here, so it's bound to get messy, but still... The employees here are super nice. I ended up not finding what I was looking for, so I didn't purchase anything, but I had asked around earlier to see where things were and they were very helpful with guiding me in the right direction. Once I finish moving I'll be back here again. So many cute accent pieces to dazzle up your kitchen, bedroom, or living room with. read more

Everyone loves Homegoods, it is part of the TJX conglomeration, but the selection is wonderful. I bought a gorgeous rug and sofa for my home and am very satisfied with it. Plus, I get so many comments on the gorgeousness!! What I do not like is that Homegoods Framingham charges ten cents for a bag AND they charge tax on this bag. Really?? This is by far one is the best and largest Homegoods stores I have ever been to... Inside was organized and the home decor was fantastic. A friend had a specific item in mind that she had seen in another store so I was kind of on a mission to find it. The world traveler that I am, I loved the globe I saw in this store but unfortunately don't have anywhere to put it and couldn't spent $300 on an item before I had a place for it. Eeeek. Not again. They would not take back an item because it was opened. Dude, I did not use it, and had no use for it. Bought it less than 24 hours ago and I have the receipt. Just being difficult when they want to be. That store employee and manager- difficult. All that for $9.00. Not buying any food items from you again - even when you carry unusual food products which nobody has heard from before and you act like a grocery store. If you act like one, then behave like one and take back items that have not worked out. read more

The prices here are pretty amazing - but be very careful what you buy, make sure to take it out of the package to assure its the model you intended. We picked up a cool solar light for our deck - and it was supposed to be a white light according to the sales tags and labels. After we took it home and set it up and it charged, it turned out to be purple. So now instead of a sophisticated lighting scheme on the deck, it looks like we're hosting a rave. Not worth going back to return it, but just a tip: always check you're getting what you want. Love HG but the customer service tonight was awful. Bought a queen set of sheets this afternoon. Package said 1 flat, one fitted and 2 pillow cases. Got them home to wash and there was no flat sheet and an extra pillowcase the size of a body pillow. Drive back, asked the very nice/polite Cashier to tell the manager not to put this back on the floor. The manager came over and could and was dismissive. She didn't say sorry just asked me if I was exchanging them for something else said ok and walked away. read more

People rummage around and there isn't much inventory control, so this is bound to happen. Great place for mirrors, small furniture items, and gifts. Love home goods! It is a place that you kind of Want to visit weekly, because what is there this week may not be there next week. And you don't want to miss what you are looking for.! Great place for towels, sheets, comforters, pot and pans.. And also a ton of kitchen items like spatulas, colanders, etc.. I come here before I head into target, as the price is a bit cheaper and they have many similar items. For example, I was looking for nesting mixing bowls- $20 at homegoods and $30 at target for same product, same brand, different color..! Go here, you won't be dissapointed! read more

This place is the secret that I am finally willing to share. I love, love this place. It is like Bed, Bath and Beyond or Crate n Barrel--with better quality and for so much less money. I am the consummate bargain hunter and this place just makes me drool. It has everything but clothing and jewelry (T.J. Maxx and Marshalls for those). You do have to know your brands and how to pick up on quality items, but this place has better quality than, oh--Target and Walmart. This is the place I go to for wedding, birthday or holiday gifts. An entire set of luxury towels can be had for $50 or less!! My favorite-- wine glasses (to go with a bottle of wine--a perfect host/hostess gift for practically anybody) can cost $4 to $10 for two, and this is crystal we're talking about! Yankee candles are here for 1/2 to 1/3 of the price and then there is the gourmet food aisle! My current favorite, which I recommend to everyone, is the Napa Valley Naturals Organic Olive oil with the purple label. It is buttery and olive flavored, rich without bitterness. The best olive oil I've had except when my hubby and I went to Greece. I am absolutely addicted. I also love the selection of vinegars: from the Balsamic Fig to the Champagne Pear. The chocolate, candy and marzipan selection is great for the holidays. I found a hot chocolate that was shredded chocolate and bits of candycane. I don't remember the name, but it came in a tin with red lions on it and was superbe! The spices are also excellent. My current favorite is Victoria Taylor's chipotle pepper flakes that come in a glass jar and are smokey and almost bacon flavored--plus a nice heat. And the prices are usually half of what I would pay in other stores. The downside is that this place has what it has--the inventory changes constantly. But if you are willing to spend a little time and effort, you can get great stuff and save a lot of money. read more

Today I was in the Framingham, MA location and had a very disappointing experience I wanted to share. My fiancé and I went to return an item that we couldn't find the receipt. There was so many things that went wrong with this experience. First of all, the lady that did the return tried to deny our return at first because the "description didn't match the ticket". I explained to her that it was the sticker and barcode on the silverware that came with it. After I took a peak at the device she was using I saw the description of the item and it said "Alexandria" which was the style of the silverware. She told us the item description didn't say silverware specifically so we must've switched the barcode sticker with something else. I did not appreciate the implication and asked for a manager to help us. I explained it to the manager that the description said Alexandria, and showed her where on the box it said that. She promptly told the employee to do the return at the lowest price it scans in at without tax. We paid 19.99 plus tax for it but they said they would only give us the current price of $15 without tax. I don't understand why we weren't refunded the tax as well, and why we weren't refunded the price on the sticker as that's clearly what was paid if there was no other markdown sticker, but I wasn't about to argue about that at the time. The next problem I had with this interaction was when we were asked for an ID. We handed over my fiancés ID from Puerto Rico. The cashier said she can only accept an American ID. We were quite offended. We explained we are giving her an American ID. She said she can't accept an ID from Puerto Rico because she needs to see our US ID. We told her Puerto Rico is a part of the US, and that it was an American ID. We also explained to her it's not just in Spanish, that if she'd actually take a moment to look at it, it's also in English, but if she needed help we could translate everything for her. She ended up using the ID but questioned him on everything on his ID because she couldn't understand it because it was in Spanish (again, the ID is in both languages). This experience was the absolute worst experience I've ever had shopping and we were extremely offended. We love shopping here and will continue to do so, but I wanted to share this experience in hopes that this won't happen again. read more

I like HomeGoods overall and often forget about this location. This is one of those stores where you buy stuff you don't really need, but you like it and just have to have it. Whether it's a mirrored vase that's three feet tall or memo pad holder shaped like an antique telephone, HomeGoods will have it. Lots of good gift ideas. I recently got a new wok and a wok cookbook for my birthday from my mom and she purchased both items here. It's basically the household section at TJ Maxx made into a stand alone store, which makes sense since they are owned by the same company. read more

You can find unique pieces of furniture, decorations and all kinds of things for your kitchen, bathroom, dining room etc. I have got very cute little door knobs (made in India, handcrafted) for my kitchen, all my friends make compliments on them. Despite of living really far away, this is the only Homegoods that I will ever go to. Shopping here feels like shopping in your comfort zone. The employees are super nice, super helpful, and the cashiers are always so courteous and so wonderful. Very clean and organized place, and huge! You can find pretty much everything that you need at this place. After visiting another Homegoods, I realized how well kept this one is not to mention the politeness of the employees so couldn't resist calling the manager and letting him know of the wonderful job his team is doing. read more

I love Home Goods. It is my favorite store and I have spent countless hours and thousands of dollars at various Home Goods. I had one experience this evening which made me question their customer service. I purchased a defective shadow box that I didn't know was broken until I got home. A couple days later I went back to the same Home Goods to exchange my defective box for an identical one that obviously wasn't broken (but forgot the receipt.) The woman who rung me up first gave my the total of my purchases and told me she would give me store credit for the defective frame... Why would I pay for a new frame then walk out the door with store credit? When I explained that I wanted to use the store credit to exchange the existing frame, she gave me a look the proceeded to void out the item and do my return. After the item was voided she rang up the new frame and gave me a total of $0.94. When I questioned why I was being charged for an even exchange she told me I didn't get my tax back because I forgot my receipt. She was talking to me as though I stole a $14 shadow box which I find extremely offensive- I walked in the store with the defective product, and that's not something a long term customer wants to deal with. I'm not upset about the $0.94- I'm upset that this poor customer service exists in one of my favorite stores. This review is purely based on my experience this time. read more

This place is awesome... I have furniture from all over the place - Jordan's, Ikea, Crate & Barrel, and a few pieces from pretty high end places... so my place is kind of a crazy mix - but it works (mostly). Anyway, it was looking a little bland and boring - and I wanted to tie everything together decoratively - so I thought I'd try out this place which I heard was "interesting" but "a big flea market". Not at all! It was fabulous. I loved it... for $380 I got 7 pieces of wall art (paintings and sculptural things), 3 vases, 2 giant candle holders, a few little sculptural pieces like a little copper elephant, faux jade intricately carved turtle (for $4! If this was real it would be like $500), a bunch of nicely designed boxes and a serving tray type of thing...and more. Once I put all this in my place, it actually (finally) looked like a home rather than a sterile apartment... and again, I spent $380... which is basically what one "real" painting or vase would cost at a high end store... but you absolutely can't tell the difference with a lot of their stuff. I deliberately left the prices on the bottom of things because I like to make people guess how much things are and then I flip it over to reveal the real price. E.g. I have this intricately detailed 2 ft tall silver vase that people thought was $80 or 100... nope...19.99! And that was one of the more expensive things! Anyway, I am definitely gonna go back sometime... the only thing that is hard is that there is SO much stuff to look through and try to create a design scheme out of... and the inventory is obviously pretty variable. Plus, it's a big hard to get everything in a small car. But, this is minor in the grand scheme of things. I can't wait to go back and make some upgrades. read more

I can't say anything about in store customer service but over the phone they were terrible. I called looking for a specific area rug, I even had the item number. The man who answered told me very rudely well what do you expect me to do we don't have a computer system. I had already called four other stores looking and each one physically went and looked and wanted the item number to make sure it was what I was looking for. I described the rug to him and he put me on hold to look. 5 minutes...10 minutes....15 minutes finally go by before I hang up and call back. When he answered the phone again he said "I got distracted but I didn't see it". Fine you don't have it not you're fault. What IS your fault is forgetting about someone on the phone who was willing to spend $300 at your store and then not even apologizing for forgetting about me. Here is the kicker I ended up calling back and asked to speak to a manager and guess who was on hold for 8 minutes before hanging up from frustration? read more
