I have not received a refund for an error made by one of the cashiers. When the employee stated something on her screen implied the transaction did not go through, I specifically asked her if I'd be charged twice. She said no. Our bank statement reflected that our card was indeed charged twice. We left our contact information with the store manager. We have had no response. Be wary of how much training your Cashier has had. I have found every other shopping experience to be seamless. Until I am fully refunded, I will not shop there again. read more

One of the best HomeGoods that I've visited and will continue to visit. The store can be a bit messy at times but nothing disastrous that I've seen mentioned in other reviews. I'd recommend coming here if you have time to spare and are willing to look around. There are a lot of great finds at HomeGoods in general, but it can require time. Prices are also reasonable. Weekends are busy so I personally prefer to shop here on the weekdays. read more

So this is my first Home Goods experience, ever. After hearing about it for so long from all of my friends I had to check it out since we just moved and need to spruce up some things. I found some great deals on some lamps and a super cute side table for a really good price! I spent probably an hour or more in there and I was entranced by all of the variety of things they have. It was all very well organized and I had to do some serious cart sorting by the end of my trip or I would have bought the whole store. All of the employees were very nice and helpful, I never felt neglected. Parking was easy enough but on my Google Maps app it kept trying to take me to an empty lot down the road and I felt like I was in some post-apocalyptic situation where Home Goods disappeared and all was left was an empty lot. Horrible!! Clutter crap everywhere. Walkways had items on the floor--couldn't navigate a cart at all because there was so much inventory on the floor. Racks were broken and behind the cashier counter were piled and piled of go-backs and reruns. Stuff was thrown on the shelves. I have seen thrift stores with better or cleaner more organized inventory. I asked the checker if they were closing or going out of business and if they were an outlet, she answered no. Go to the San Ramon one!! Advise to the district or regional manager: Hire a competent store manager!! You Dubin store is a wreck it's disgusting. read more

If I can rate this place 0 star I would! Worst home goods I e been to I bought a doggy gate and after 10 days it broke. I didn't drop nor do anything to break the item. I tried to fix it but the wood was stripped cause i can't thighteb the screw.The manager told me that he can't do an exchange because it's been 10 days and he doesn't know that maybe I accidentally broke it. I was excited that a HomeGoods is finally in the Trivalley area. I find it annoying though that the aisles are so tiny that you can barely move. Also while browsing their clearance area I found this $9.99 chimes for $10. What a joke! Anyways, Ive managed to score some good deals for the house and our dog. All in all ok. Ok, I know that this place gets low reviews because of the mess and the grumpy manager. I was there a few weeks ago, and it was messier than other home goods I've been in, but it wasn't half as bad as the photos. I even met THE mean manager (she had to approve of a price change...I confirmed with the cashier if she was the one!) And guess what? She was not a monster. At least not to me. I treated her with respect, and she was the same with me. Straightforward, no nonsense. She sounds like she's from the east coast, and maybe she's just a bit rough around the edges. I worked in this store during the crash year of 2014 & I have to say that the people were amazing. The products were beautiful & so well priced. The customer service in the store was a top priority. I have the best memories of this store & the people I worked with still bring back great memories. All the supervisors put the customer first. All the employees as well. Before this location opened up, the nearest one was in San Ramon, then one opened in Fremont off Auto Mall, then here in Dubtown! It is conveniently accessible off 580, and next door to the poppin' & spankin' clean Nordstrom Rack, Whole Foods Market, and many others, in this new retail destination in the Tri-Valley. What's not to like at Home Goods?! Nothing really. You just have to have an open mind and be adventurous in the thrill of a frugal shopper. Well, these stores vary by location - and it's either a hit or miss, but don't let that stop you from patronizing this store. The best thing about HomeGoods is their clearance sections - there are so many deals that are yet to find, just make sure to check if they're broken, missing pieces, and expiration dates (food/beverage/perishable items). I've never gone wrong at any of their bargains, and it's a joy to be able to do it! Don't make it an errand, but an adventure that awaits you to finding bargains. The absolute worst Home Goods that I've ever seen. Every time we've walked through this store, it's a horrible chaotic mess.

This place looks so messy, and the staff are rude. The aisles are cramped with items falling onto the floor. This looks like Hoarders and not Home Goods. Plus, the staff was so rude one of them yelled at my child. He was standing next to me looking at an item. I thought she was referring to someone else since there were tons of small children running and screaming all over. I gave her a look, threw the item on the table and we left. He was upset, so I didn't want to start a shouting match with this woman. Never again. read more

I am a HUGE home goods fan ! And of Course I had been praying that some day Home goods should open up a store nearby my Neighborhood and guess what ???? Home Goods is here ! in Dublin ! Now I don't have to Drive all the way to San Ramon to shop at Bishop Ranch. Thank you home goods !!! But , here's my part of disappointment. I visited the Dublin HG (HomeGoods) last week and observed that : 1.Very few items are stocked up in the shop. 2.Most of the items were simply brought in to this new store from the other home goods stores ( San Ramon and the Mercado stores) 3.Orientation of this new store is the exact mirror image of all the other stores, which Kinda confused me. I agree with you Mimi , the aisles are pretty narrow and I did bump into others. I would highly appreciate if the Dublin HG brings in more new stocks and also doesnt bring in items from other HGs and brings in its own unique stocks. I love shopping at Home Goods because you get name brand items at reasonable prices. I have shopped at Home Goods for years, and I was excited when they opened a new store in Dublin, CA near where I live. The times I have visited this store, especially during the Christmas holidays, I was very disappointed. The store looked like a pig pen. Items were on the floor and disorganized and thrown on the shelves. It is also almost impossible to find a sales person on the floor and they usually have only a few cashiers so the lines are long. I decided I will not shop at this Home Goods because it is too messy. I'll continue to shop at Home Goods, but go to the San Ramon store because the items and neat and displayed as they should be in a retail store. read more

The service here is a complete joke. As a new location and recent opening, I had high expectations for this place. I love Home Goods and go to the one in San Ramon all the time. Hailing from the easy bay, i'd much rather take the longer drive than return to this one. The shelves were pretty empty but that is pretty understandable after a huge holiday weekend. But I still found a couple things that I wanted. I asked for help while looking for the notebooks and the employees were so busy with their conversation in another language that they barely noticed I was there. Annoyed, I just kept wandering until I found what I needed. Waiting to pay for my things, there was one person ahead of me who was having some complications at the register. I was standing there waiting, while the manager was dealing with some issue with another cashier. Another employee was fiddling behind the counter as I waited. The customer in front of me left, and the employees just stood around because his item was "too heavy" to take off of the counter. So until someone could come, I continued to wait. No one said they'd be with me in a minute or whatever. I'm not the type to be fussy, if there was a reason for the wait or if there were a lot of customers, i'd understand but it was literally just me standing there waiting for someone to let me pay. I really just wanted to leave but I had driven all this way and really wanted the items I was purchasing. Finally the cashier was ready, I walk over and as I'm walking over, the manager blocks the way as she's moving something and doesn't even say excuse me. I know I'm coming off snobby but I waited 15 minutes for literally nothing and every little thing after that just irritated me more. All in all, i'm really disappointed and won't be returning to this location. read more

This place is so disorganized, rude sales people and manager and they pull prices out of their a$$es when things are not marked. Came in expediting to get some items for my home, found a Waterford candle holder which was really small but I thought it was pretty. Normally at any other store you would ask for a price check and they would look it up, not this place they talked in a group of sales associates and said "what you think we should charge for this". Then they went and grabbed something else that wasn't even a candle holder and created a barcode and said "this is the price". It was way too high, didn't buy, I left. Btw, the manager was the most rude person i have ever dealt with, basically she handed a posted note to call corporate and deal with corporate instead of her. read more

I couldn't wait to go to HomeGoods in Dublin. I was very disappointed. It was a horrible inside . Items on the floors , Isles you couldn't get down , do to items covering the floor. The staff didn't seem to care. The prices were high I thought on some things. The staff wasn't helpful at all . They only had 2 checkers . And the line was huge. I have shopped at a lot.of home goods stores in the area. The store manager who helped me with my return did not know the meaning of customer service what so ever. She didn't even attempt to scan my items I was returning she just said it's not from her store they dont carry this brand. Even though it had Home Goods tags on it. Plus how would you know what brands you carry in that big messy store?? I have been a manager in a retail store and I know exact how it works. Frankly I did not have the patience to deal with this incompitant store manager who clearly has no regard for customers. So I walked away and found same exact item and brand and brought it to her to show her they in fact do carry it. OBVIOUSLY SINCE MY ITEMS HAD HOME GOODS TAGS ON IT. I will never shop at this location and I will make sure to contact corporate about this. Funny thing is I went to the Tracy location and they happily returned my items no questions asked. read more

I love home goods! I don't really understand why they have such a low review! It's a discount store! I don't think out of this world customer service should be expected! This location whenever I go in always seems to be busy, sometimes the checkout line gets long and they don't have enough cashiers as they should but again it's a discount store so it's kinda expected. Once you make it to the register though the person ringing has always been pleasant and doesn't seem stressed out about the line which I think is admirable. The store had the things I come in looking for but most importantly things I didn't know I needed... and probably don't! read more

When I first started coming to this store 3 years ago, I would have given it 1 star. The mess was horrendous and it seemed like no one ever bothered to clean or pick up the store. They seemed understaffed so the lines where always long. It just seemed like no one cared about the store. Which why I would wait to go to the roseville home goods or the folsom one ( I am originally from the roseville area) I would even drive out of my way to Newark or San ramon and go to those since they were much cleaner and organized, hence less of a chance of buying something broken and less stressful shopping trying to find a clean aisle I could walk through. I noticed over the last few months it has undergone a major overhaul. Not sure if there is a new manager, or more employees but it looks waaaaay better. You can actually walk down aisles!!! It's up there with my hometown stores now. And I actually see staff consistently picking up, something I never really saw before. I do see some new faces so maybe that's it. Either way the store looks great now. The only complaint I have is that they are still understaffed in the front. At most during the Christmas shopping season I would see 4, usually only 2 most visits. I seriously waited for half an hour being the fourth in line. They kept calling for help but no one ever came. I felt bad for the cashiers because they were doing the best they could but you can tell they were stressed. I was a manager at a retail store back home so I get where they were coming from. Not sure why the manager did not come to the front to help. read more

I normally love this store for obviously home items, but this store seemed super clustered. I know items are normally thrown in wherever they fit, but other stores seemed to be neater and organized about it. I felt like this particular store was more of a high end thrift store. Not only that, the line was longer than usual and bout employees seemed clustered as well as annoyed with one another. I overheard my cashier talking to the other cashier saying that she would take over, but the other girl ignored her and continued her job. They both seemed stressed, but try to keep whatever issues you have away from customers. It felt awkward paying. Don't know if i'll come back to this specific location anytime soon. read more

Horrible customer service. Several employees were extremely rude to myself and the other ladies I was shopping with, and this was on Mother's Day of all days. First comment we heard when we walked into the store was "all of these women are coming in too early today" (it was 10:30) Then while smelling a candle I was rudely told to put my mask back on because I had pulled it down to far.. I responded with "I can't pull my mask down to smell a candle?! The employee rudely said "well you had it all the way down". Upon reaching the registers we heard "oh these are the people..." being whispered to another employee. I purchased my stuff and walked out of the store. I walked back in to see if my sister needed any help with all of her stuff, and an employee walked pass me and said "awful. Fucking awful people" while shaking her hands in the air. I'm a big fan of HomeGoods but not this location. So many items are chipped, cracked, broken, dented, or damaged it makes shopping there unpleasant. I returned one item that I discovered damaged when I got it home and the cashier gave me grief. Actually she gave me the stink-eye. The parking lot was stripped too tight too. Customer service in this location is horrible and disappointing . I was there to return a few items on Sunday morning and I had very bad experience. Nina ( store manager ) was so irrespecutful, unfriendly and mean on return process. She mentioned 2 times that she is store manager to basically shut me up. Finally she refused to get the last item ( small toy furniture without receipt) and asked me to return it in original store which seemed ridicules to me. Of course the item had Home Goods tag and I'm wondering how return policy can be different in this location! Home Goods is a nice store, but corporate really needs to choose right people with strong customer service and friendly manner as managers to better serve their customers and stay successful. read more

This store carries some really great home decor items with very fair prices. However, the store is such a disaster area that it's not worth going to. I actually scratched my arm walking through an aisle on my last visit. I don't know how the city of Dublin allows it to operate in such dangerous condition. Cannot possibly meet fire codes. Merchandise in the aisles, loaded store room carts in aisles, items piled on shelves. Danger, danger, danger!!!! Also, seems like 80% of items I was interested in were not marked with prices. Worst service ever. Bought a rug was shedding more than 5 shaggy dogs. Husband having allergic reaction we didn't know he could have. Keep the receipt and tried to return now thanks to there incompetence. They are not refunding our money because they said the number on the rug doesn't match the receipt. They have to review the security feed and of course no one is here to do that today. Unbelievable now have to wait till they can review there footage. Shop at your own risk. Check your numbers and receipts before leave the store. Only props I can give is to the manager that was on today. Chanell, she stayed calm and professional, even when I was not. Literally was about to loose my shit on her. Hopefully this gets taken care of and we are compensated for our distress and trouble. read more
