I am usually too lazy to write any review of any sort, but I almost felt obligated to leave one here simply because how great the experience was from start to finish. I moved into a new construction home with 0 window treatments and reached out to 5-10 companies, including Budget Blinds. We ended up going with Budget Blinds and had 27 shades installed (15 Lutron motorized, 12 non-motorized ones). Here's what we really appreciated: - Miguel was extremely knowledgeable right from the very first conversation. I did a ton of research on different motorization options, pricing, etc., and I was not really looking for a sales person to pitch to me. This was unfortunately the case with most of the other companies, but not Miguel. Miguel was very knowledgeable, straight to the facts, and was able to answer all of my questions. This made a big difference to us in terms of our decision. - Miguel was very patient and professional when we went back and forth between material, colors, etc. There was not a single point in the whole process where I felt rushed or pressured into anything. He gave just the right amount (and correct) advices when needed. - Fannie kept us updated throughout the whole waiting period. did not miss a single week. - On the day of the installation, Miguel and the other installer were very professional and efficient. With this many windows, I expected the whole process to take the whole day. Instead, it was done in a few hours. More importantly, they kept their face masks and shoe covers on the whole time, which we really appreciated. - There were two slight issues related to manufacturing. One shade was quickly replaced, and the other one had a loose battery compartment. We contacted Budget Blinds and Miguel came by the next day to take a look. It was a tiny issue and only took him a minute to fix. We felt bad for making him come all the way for a tiny issue, but he was very professional as always and did not mind. We have been very satisfied with both the appearance and the quality of the 27 blinds we got from Budget Blinds. More importantly, this was a rare home project for us where pretty much everything went smoothly. We have used Budget Blinds twice in the last 2 yrs. 2 years ago they did shutters for all of the bedrooms in our home. We loved the shutters and had a great experience so had them come give an estimate on honeycombed shades for the front of our house. They noticed we had our lights hooked up to our Alexa, so suggested shades that work with our Alexa/Lutron app. We absolutely LOVE the shades and like that they are motorized so we can tell Alexa to open on close the shades. Overall we were really impressed with Budget Blinds with Pleasanton. Overall after getting roughly 6 estimates from the area, we felt fairly comfortable with getting blinds through them. As a side note, they weren't the cheapest nor the most expensive of the blinds, but in the middle ground that at least worked with us regarding the pricing. What swayed us the most was for the fact that Miguel notes that one of rooms that we wanted to have a shutter in was slightly off to the due to the way the built in book cases were situated, so he recommended/opted for another type of blind. The general time line from bid to actual installation is roughly 2.5 months due to the shutters being custom and shipped from China to here (going through customs etc). A nice perk of sorts were the Wednesday email updates on the status of the shutters. The day of the installation we were greeted by Miguel and Fanny his wife/installer/co-worker. To me, it's nice to know that the person who does the measurements and gets the bid also installs the product because they definitely know more of the ins and outs versus a person who mainly gets the bids or just installs..I find it sometimes there's a slight gap in customer service when somethings goes wrong. Anyways, another nice perk since they cater to this area is for the fact, they actually live in the area which means not only you are helping a local business but a local neighbor of sorts. Since, we're really impressed with their overall pricing and craftsmanship, I plan on doing a few more shutters when the time comes. Have used Budget Blinds a couple times with an excellent experience. The last one was 42 windows with a combo of Shutters and Mini Blinds in a new construction home. Came out great. After comparing the "great deal" my neighbor got from a different company that ended up being almost $4000 more for just the faux mini blinds, I know the price was great too.
