From their website: "WE WORK WITH THE POPULATION THAT NOBODY DESIRES TO WORK WITH, AND IT'S A PRINCIPLE OF THIS PLACE THAT WE STAND WITH THEM" FATHER GREG Know that when you buy from here, you're getting good food and you're also helping other people to get a second chance to a normal life. If that's not worth paying a little extra then maybe this isn't for you. Their wrap was huge and delicious but also it was really hard to eat it without making a mess (unless your mouth can open that big LOL).

I went for Second Saturdays and it was amazing! Loved the thrift options (vintage Guess, Reformation, etc all with tags) and great food.

We tried almost all of the flavors they offered, except for pistachio, and every single one was unique and decadent. The buttercream is incredibly smooth and adds the perfect amount of moisture, making each bite really delightful. We also tried the chocolate chip cookie, which was very good. It had a crisp, slightly crunchy exterior, while the inside was soft and a little underdone--but still delicious, especially if that's the type of cookie you like. These cakes are exactly what I imagine a wedding cake should taste like. Definitely one of the best cakes I've had and a must-try.

The delicate crumb structure shattered…read morelike silk beneath the tines, revealing layers of vivid green sponge interwoven with cream so ethereal it could only have been crafted by angels--or demons masquerading as pastry chefs. The pistachio flavor struck first--not merely a taste, but a DECLARATION. Pure, unadulterated essence of Sicilian nuts, roasted to absolute perfection, ground into submission and transformed into something transcendent. The cream filling cascaded across my palate like a Mediterranean breeze, while subtle notes of butter created a symphony that left me defenseless! But the assault wasn't over. The black sesame cake sat before me, ominous and alluring like midnight itself. One bite, and suddenly I was falling through dimensions of flavor! The nutty, earthy depth of toasted sesame seeds wrapped around me like a silken robe, each layer revealing new secrets. Sweetness balanced perfectly against that characteristic bitter edge--yin and yang achieved in cake form! The texture? Impossibly moist, almost sinful in its richness. Finally, the berry pavlova delivered the knockout blow. Crisp meringue SHATTERED into a million crystalline fragments, giving way to clouds of cream and an explosion of berry compote that was simultaneously tart, sweet, and utterly devastating. A culinary arena where only the strongest taste buds survive!

We got: - Foccocia sando (with kale and spread and some pickled onions) - this was honestly just ok. The bread was kind of hard and meh, but the veggies inside were delicious. - Black sesame cookie - good, but not as good as somewhere like Miopane. Miopane isn't vegan though, so there's that. - Blood orange black sesame danish - this was really good. It's also sprinkled with some rock sugar type thing, which adds unexpected surprise crunchy sweetness to random bites. - Kale scone. This was my fav. It's savory, but has a distinct sweetness that balances everything out great. I'd go back just for this. We got some bottled fresh soy milk too. They also have a furikake croissant and a miso asparagus danish that we'll have to try next time. There is seating a-plenty both indoor and out. Such a hidden gem of a spot. There is also a coffee place next door, and Cassell's burgers, so you can sort of make your own meal here. Street parking, and I saw bathrooms that require a code (but didn't use them).

Free street parking right outside made arrival easy. We ordered the Cinnamon Knot, Furikake Croissant (the black sesame had me hooked), chocolate croissant, and Yuzu Poppy scone. Every single one was delicious. Nothing overly sweet, beautiful presentation, and the black sesame and citrus notes really stood out. The space nails that historic old-neighborhood feel with exposed brick and mortar. Big windows flood the place with natural light, and the main seating is in a spacious, dog-friendly courtyard that creates a relaxed community atmosphere. It's exactly the kind of spot that makes a weekend drive from Riverside feel worthwhile. Staff was outstanding -- smiling, engaging, attentive, and clearly proud of their pastries. They brought real warmth to the visit. I'll absolutely return to try their seasonal offerings. Bakers Bench delivers on high expectations with top-tier pastries, a welcoming vibe, and that small-business community charm marked by the blue sign. A++++ Highly recommended.

My friend and I finally decided on the pepperoni pizza, the Brussel sprouts, and the Belgian waffle. The pizza was so delicious; it was evidently fresh, made with fresh mozzarella and tomato. The crust was perfectly cooked and crunchy! We were very impressed with the Brussel sprouts. They came mixed with candied walnuts, which was definitely my favorite part about this whole meal. We ate the Belgian waffle last. I thought it would have been too dense or soggy by the end of our meal. It ended up being completely perfect. The only thing I wish was that we had more of that wonderful vanilla whipped cream and fresh seasonal berries. I brought my bff here as a graduation gift. We left with full stomachs and very happy. I loved the decor and elegance of the restaurant. We will return to try the pastries next!!

Brussel Sprouts was perfectly roasted and the walnuts gave it a crunchy texture. Lobster Hash - I was surprised it was a real lobster tail. The dish was very delicious. Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict- the egg was perfectly poached and once you break the runny yolk on the egg muffin it was so yummy. Napoleon cake was very crispy layered with very smooth cream. I also got macarons to go and thought it was reasonable in price 6 pieces for $20 and you get a really pretty box. I really liked the Dubai Chocolate flavor.

I recently decided to place a DoorDash pickup order so I could swing by and browse while waiting for my food. The only minor downside during my visit was the lack of customer service when I arrived. I wasn't greeted, and it felt a bit awkward standing there for a moment while both employees were preoccupied almost like I was maybe being avoided.. one was restocking pastries and the other calling out a drink order. As someone who works in the service industry, I completely understand how hectic things can get and how easy it is to be focused on tasks when you're busy. I'm also a pretty patient person and can read the room, but a quick acknowledgment would've gone a long way. Other than that brief moment, I really have no complaints. If it weren't for that slightly awkward interaction, this easily would have been a 5-star visit. While waiting for my order to be warmed up, I took some time to browse their beautiful display of pastries and cakes. Everything looked so good that it definitely convinced me I need to come back soon to try a few. For this visit, I ordered the sourdough turkey melt, which came with turkey, bacon, and cheddar cheese. It was really good--filling, flavorful, and something I'd definitely order again. The sourdough bread was soft and tasted fresh, which I really appreciated. The space itself is also pretty nice inside and feels like a chill spot to sit down for lunch, so next time I might actually dine in instead of taking my order to go. Looking forward to exploring more of their menu soon!
