"Yogurt, Granola, Fresh Fruit" breakfast $8.79. They were out of fruit and out of granola on a Monday morning.

UNBELIEVABLE. I feel so bad for their servers. Examples? For breakfast on a Monday morning we decided we had an hour before our flight so sat down at a table. 7 minutes later our overworked server showed up and asked what we'd like to drink. 10 minutes later our coffees arrived (no waters that we had asked for). We ordered their "Granola, Yogurt, Fresh Fruit Plate" $8.79. Our server informed us that they were out of fruit as the person that cuts the fruit works Mon-Friday and they hadn't started yet. Anyone ordering fruit on a Sunday gets Friday's cut fruit. We replied we'd live with no fruit, just give us a bit more granola and yogurt. 15 minutes later 2 bowls of yogurt arrived (2 bowls per person!). Awesome .. lots of yogurt! We assumed our granola would arrive and asked when it would arrived and were informed they were out of granola as well! Fortunately we had energy bars so left.

I flew out of MEM on Monday and didn't have much selection for food. The nearest restaurant was in the concourse on the opposite side of the entire airport from my flight. I made the trek and found Home Team Sports. The food was over priced and tasted like freezer food that was Microwaved. The wait staff was not rude but far from friendly. Trying to get my waiter to take my order took some time. It was the same way when trying to pay. I had to run to the other side of the airport to catch my and barely made it. I would have thought over an hour would have been enough to eat and make it back.

    Go to Moe's nearby instead.

Arrived at 10:15. Breakfast was over. No prob. ;-) We switched to the lunch menu and asked for gumbo. Our server said the gumbo was likely not ready because they don't prepare the gumbo until after breakfast, which ended at 10. We said we would wait. Our flight was delayed. She offered to check when it might be ready. Our sweet server went to the kitchen. I heard the guy in the back raising his voice at her. I walked over to cancel the order and heard her apologizing and saying she just wanted to know if we should wait or go somewhere else. When I walked up he was saying something to the effect that he couldn't tell her when because he'd be lying. Our server was very professional and I just think she deserved more respect.

So small...so sad. Blah tasting for $16.

Such a sad airport, this place was the only place open on a Saturday afternoon. I tried to order a beer, they only had 4-5 beer options, and nothing I usually drink. I asked if they have food, the bartender said only a cheeseburger or a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce tomato cheese and chips. I was like ok. Give me the chicken sandwich. When I paid, I was kinda shocked. A beer and chicken sandwich was $22 and change. Holy cow. When the sandwich came out it was the smallest chicken sandwich I had ever been served. Wasn't very tasty either. It's like they ran out of salt and pepper in the kitchen too. So sad. Get the burger if you are also forced to eat here...it looked normal size.

The worst burger I've ever had, service is super slow and place is dirty. Will never eat here or in this airport again. Burger was burnt to a crisp, lettuce was stale, and bacon wasn't good either. Fries were cold and wife's Mac and cheese crisps looked like prepackaged from Costco or sams. Don't eat here, totally bad.

I had a 1 1/2 hour layover at the Memphis airport so I thought I'd grab a burger. After listening to servers yell across the room asking about "did you get your chili!", three times, I realized I may regret the decision to eat here. The menu was sticky, the server acted pleasant but the place was in obvious disarray. While I waited, I looked through the window to the kitchen. The cook was texting on his phone, pictures, and rubbed his beard. He did not wash his hands. He locked eyes with me and laughed to a coworker about me noticing his actions. He starts working again, again, did not wash his hands. I saw my burger placed in the window, and thought nope, not going to eat that after what I witnessed. I got up and left. I would have spoken to a manager but again, this place was a mess to the point where servers placed orders under wrong tables and 7 people huddled around the register to figure out what in the hell was going on. Sorry about not having pictures of what I ordered but as I mentioned, I walked before that disaster got my table. I hate giving bad reviews but this one deserves every bit of this one.

RUDE‼‼‼ The two ladies (which is being very generous with this description) were sitting on their cell phones at 6:30 AM while the sign says they opened at 6 AM. I walked in to ask what time they would open and she said I had to get out of there because THEY didn't have their masks on. I said "oh I'm sorry I thought you open at 6 AM and the one lady said "it also says we close at 12 and I was here until 6." Not really my problem, they didn't have to be so rude. An hour later my daughter had NO WHERE to sit so she sat down in a chair near the rail & was told she could not sit there. My daughter cried bc the lady was so rude. My husband and I both worked in the service industry for over 20 years and tip very well, this business will be out of business sooner than later.

Tater tots and BBQ sauce.....I LOVE IT....I'd say not enough pulled pork on it...but it was delicious the BBQ sauce is like ketchup....the cheese is a sauce, I'd prefer real melted cheese....but hey I got 30 mins before my flight and this came out quickly....worth a try for my foodies..

As we talked, she said that she normally goes to Marvin's the place we were at was closer today. Well, we decided to head over to Marvin's Kitchen. This would be my first time and maybe her 30th. Marvin's is a small grocery store/hot food line with the normal meals POC expect. We call it, "some good eating." Space is limited, but I was happy to see the business thriving. I was told to expect a line out the door. Well, she didn't lie; the line was out the door. I waited outside maybe 10 minutes before making it inside. Due to COVID-19, a person mans the door to only allow a certain number of people inside. There is no menu. You order what is available on the hot line or cold sandwiches perhaps. I placed two orders. The lines backed up due to people waiting for a specific item. As I waited for my food, I asked the young to confirm my order; she had moved plates around and may have gotten them mixed up. I asked to confirm my two kore times before it was wrapped and put in a bag. Well well well, I get home and one order was wrong. UGH!! Nevertheless, I wasn't driving back to correct the order. I ate what I had and enjoyed the sides, but not happy with the meat. I would not have selected the pork and it was over cooked to me. The second plate was correct, and it was also good. Despite a wrong order, I will go back again and verify my order by site next time. The food was really good, the staff was moving quick and they were courteous. The space is tight, but manageable. I will definitely recommended Marvin's.

I ordered the half rack ribs, muddy, with turnip greens and red beans and rice with the latter recommended by our server. Ribs - pretty good sauce, tender, fall off the bone, some pieces were a tad dry, but this can be common with ribs, especially the smaller ends. Turnip greens - pretty standard Red beans and rice - pretty dang good for being in Mississippi. Ask for the hot sauce. Both my client and I really like this. Overall, this was a satisfying meal that we all enjoyed. It was nice seeing the articles and trophies the owner has accumulated over the years to make her the "most decorated female pitmaster in the US".

The food however was honestly meh (in my opinion). I got a creole dish and to be fair my dish looked beautiful. The plating was 10/10 but the taste for me left something to be desired. After eating this dish I questioned if I even like creole sauce because it really just wasn't that good. If this is a preference issue, I honestly don't know. I also thought the charcuterie appetizer had a weird mix of items on it from club crackers, to meat and cheese, and random veggies. Not bad but just kind of a weird mix. My husband ordered the salmon and he said it was good, not the best he's had but it was good. Other friends of ours got the white fish among the many other dishes. I did have a salad with these apples on it which was incredibly yummy. I will say though my dish looked amazing some of the other dishes were not plated well. Not to nitpick but to want to be considered a more upscale restaurant which means charging guest more money than say a local Applebee's then knowing how to appropriately garnish or drizzle sauce to elevate at plate is important (see my picture of the chicken dish). All and all not my favorite restaurant but definitely not the worst!!
