Once the fabricator finished the process he was very helpful in checking in if we were satisfied with the process and provided as much help as possible to fix minor blemishes from the installation process. After a contractor was trying to rip me off with the price of his cabinets my boyfriend did some research and found Home Surplus. What a gem this store and location are. We met with Scott on August 7th who was able to help us pick out the perfect cabinet (port and bell in Anna white and grey). We had the dimensions so he was able to provide a layout and pricing. He made some recommendations for fillers which made sense and something I hadn't even considered. On August 8th we made the purchase and on August 17th the were delivered. They are currently being installed so no pictures just yet. Scott made the process of buying cabinets a breeze. The prices were so affordable that I ended up saving TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS from what the contractor was charging me. To our pleasant surprise, my boyfriend and I Stopped in here the other day to pay for new windows and we came out with our floor and tile arrangement for our new bathroom. The worst business I had to deal with during the remodeling . We ordered our interior doors in October of 2021 and they arrived Tuesday 3/8/22. Worst costumer service. One of the guys that works there, James, gave me a pretty awesome price, some pointers and ideas. Few weeks later it all began. The whole process took a while, just like any other construction would, but James went above and beyond with exceptional customer service. Would use him over and over again! However, the guy for stone and tile that they deal with "Devine design" is a total d... b..., horrible people skills, calls you back 3 days later ( if you're lucky ) to just set up the appointment to measure the surface... His response was " You're not the only one I deal with ..."?", wasted another 3 weeks because of that d... !!! Long story short, I found another company right in town, "JJ Marble and Granite"! Run away. Do not risk shopping at this store. Bought three different items from this store. Problems across the board. And refused to take back a glass shower panel with a dented frame. Made it m tough luck. 1. Ordered a glass shower with two panels and a door in center plus pine French door. Turned out shower sold only works as one panel and a door so had to return two pieces and get a single panel. French door I found was oak - more expensive than pine, but not what I wanted or ordered. Decided to keep because staff seemed so inept that I thought best bet was to hold onto what I had since it was at least right dimensions. 2.Ordered a second french door and a door for a bathroom. My contractor's guys had to arrive late and drive through traffic as this store does not have contractor friendly hours. Contractor found only the French door was correct. Other door not what was ordered and left behind. Staff member I talked with promised she'd drop off the door in the evening of a Friday when I spoke to her during day since she lived nearby. Canceled plans and waited. No show. Next door door arrived by truck. Found a voicemail earlier on the Saturday, but this was late. Calling Friday early evening would have made a difference. 3. Upon opening package with shower door found frame had a dent. (I was told was a frameless glass shower so both the frame and the dent were a surprise. Contractor tried to gently press where dented to correct, but aw impossible. Home Surplus refused to take back, saying had never seen this before. Of course,woman I was speaking with had said her error in selling me two panels and a door was because she was new to glass showers. Called a second time and asked them to take back. Promised to get back to me ASAP. A couple of days have passed so clear I'm stuck. Also upon installing French doors that open on to different entries to a room, see that the oak French door has beveled glass, so even when painted the doors will be a mismatch. Communication throughout was poor and required me to call well after I was supposed to hear from them at each stage. I do not think these are dishonest people. But I do think they are inept and no nothing about customer service. One does not make a company's issue their customers problem. Assume if you do business with this company that there is great riisk they will mess up and will not make things right. This may be because staff is worried about looking bad to management for the problemns they create. AVOID THIS BUSINESS. BUY FROM THEM AT YOUR PERIL. read more

Ok where do I begin. If I could give negative stars I would. Worst service I have ever had!!!! Ordered interior doors (nothing fancy, just plain basic Roman arch) back in October 2021 and received them a few days ago. We were told several times that they were shipped starting earlier this year but never actually received them. Then we asked to have the shipment expedited because I am 9 months pregnant and we need doors in the house. They said we would receive the doors on Friday but we didn't get them till the following Monday. They constantly ignored my husband. Rarely responded to emails, never answered the phone. To top it all off, the doors did NOT come prehung as they were supposed to be, they also came with silver hardware when we had ordered brass. The hinges were all aligned incorrectly. Looks like a child put the hinges on these doors. We have to pay someone to come and adjust everything. We've had two separate contractors tell us they have never seems doors this terrible before with this much unfinished work on it. Pretty much, these doors are completely wrong. If we knew, we would've ordered from Wayfair or somewhere else. I have never experienced so much stress and anxiety like this company has caused me. My husband sent an email with the issues once we received the doors and we are yet to hear from them but we aren't surprised as they are all so rude and don't have any customer service. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

Considering Ipex?? Read my experience first!! I ordered a set of Armstrong Cabinets from Ipex Home Supply. But when the cabinets were delivered on April 24, the quality of the cabinets was astonishingly poor with deformed doors, side boards and damages on the back, among many others. I took the damaged and deformed cabinets back to the store of IPEX . The owner of IPEX, Ms. Teresa Ross, had someone repair one of them right there and told me if there's any problem from then on, I should contact Armstrong Cabinets. I wrote down my experience and posted on IPEX and Armstrong Cabinets' Facebook pages. After this, Mr. Thomas Airey, the Regional Account Manager of Armstrong Cabinets, came to our house twice to inspect the defected cabinets. He told me that his company would like to pay $1250 as compensation, change problematic ones, and upgrade the cabinets. On June 7, 2013, Mr. Airey said the new corner cabinet had been delivered to IPEX and asked me to go pick it up. Yet when I arrived at the store on the next day, Ms. Ross the Ipex owner demanded me to sign a document; otherwise she would not release me the cabinet. I declined to sign of course, for the content of the statement was untrue. And Ms. Ross refused to give me the cabinet. But it's now been over 140 days and no replacement or compensation has been done as Mr. Airey had promised. The deformed cabinets are still with us. Below is the full text of the document the Ipex owner demanded me to sign: Ipex Home Supply 8825 Tonnelle Ave North Bergen NJ 07047 June 8,2013 I,____________________ have received a new Corner cabinet courtesy of Armstrong. I gave inspected and accepted the cabinet. I have also received a door to replace a warped door. I am anticipating a set of decorative doors that I did not pay for, but Armstrong has agreed to gift them to us. We, Mr. and Mrs. Rem, have agreed to clear up all of our negative comments made on both the Armstrong Website as well as Ipex web site, and an apology for slandering us will be posted on our site. Too bad can't give 0 stars! I dealt with them for over 1.5 months because issues were so severe. Needed cabinets rather fast, Teresa was helpful and got them in about 3 days. After they had my money they no longer cared for prompt or quality service. 8/13 cabinets were DEFECTIVE: major and minor scratches, chipped corners, doors hanging on 1 hinge. Condition so AWFUL it was shocking! Called Teresa ASAP and she passed me off to another rep who claimed someone would be there Tuesday to replace cabinets (this was on a Saturday) and that I would be compensated for trouble (that never happened!). I took Tuesday off work and NO ONE CAME! Next day a man came but brought 25% of broken cabinets- was given wrong parts, cabinet sizes etc. It took 3 trips for him to get it 75% right and then he put one of the scratched doors in the BUSHES (without notifying me he even came by)!!!!. Waited another week for replacements only to realize that Teresa's kitchen plan was wrong. She made room for 28' fridge (can anyone find that in home depot? i am sure it doesn't even exist) so one of the cabinets was the wrong size. How can someone get 13 cabinets in 3 days (sure defective) but can't get 1 in over 2 weeks!!!!!!??? Another mistake- I ordered one cabinet 27x24 but was given 27x30. I was so sick of dealing with them and Teresa's attitude and lack of responsibility that I just put the longer cabinet over my sink (it was supposed to be raised to have more head room above sink). Decorative moldings were wrong so returned- couldn't even get that right. I would have been more forgiving if she was more professional or apologetic and like any other company provided some compensation for the trouble. I should have been more selective and not tried to save $1k over home depot. They wasted my money and time. AWFUL! unless you want a headache and sub-par quality then this is the place for you to get your cabinets. read more

This place has changed for the better! I wasn't thrilled with the service I received earlier this year. There was a guy named Jim that seemed to run the place and kept insisting his friend was serviced before me, even though I had been there waiting patiently for a kitchen design. I ended up just walking out that day, but the prices were great, so I went back and gave it another try. This time a woman greeted with a smile, and although she seemed pretty busy, she offered me a water bottle and measuring instruction to get a head start on my kitchen design. James did an awesome job with my kitchen design, he had great suggestions for backsplash tiles to complement the granite countertop I picked out and he's got a great eye for design. In general, it seems like the people that work were much happier and very pleasant. I might have just caught them on an off day the first time, but I heard they have new owners, so that might have something to do with all the positive changes. Never order anything custom from them! Even going down in person and pointing to items that you want will not guarantee your order is accurate. They will order the wrong item, and then once you get it and tell them it's wrong, they tell you that's what you ordered, too bad, and "we don't make mistakes". I drove an hour and 20 minutes to their location, took their salesman directly to the cabinet that I wanted, color, style, and timeframe was discussed. He typed away, 10 minutes later, I get the invoice, and everything seems okay. The color listed on the invoice was close enough to what I thought the color would have been called, so I didn't even second guess it, because just 10 minutes prior, I pointed and touched the one I wanted. 4 weeks later, my cabinets arrive, and they are the wrong color and style. But because they had it on the invoice that way, I am stuck with it. They want $2500 to swap them out, and that's doing ME a favor. The "owner" Jim, is not professional. While trying to work out this issue, he tells me he has a customer and can't talk to me anymore. I AM A CUSTOMER! He tells me he doesn't make mistakes, and that I ordered it the way I got it. I wasn't aware that I typed in the order, cashed the check I wrote him, and assembled all of this myself. Do not do business with these guys. They can't admit when they made a mistake, and they don't know how to handle it when they do. read more

Their specialty is Cabinetry for Kitchens and Baths and Floor and Wall Tiles with so many styles(Ceramic, Glass, Steel) and sizes to choose. I am overwhelmed at the customer service I have received from the entire staff, starting with Theresa, David, and James. Absolutely the worst place to buy cabinets! I purchased kitchen cabinets and was told that I would receive them in 2 weeks. It arrived 4 weeks later. Then one of the cabinets was not fully assembled. Davian was not helpful with telling me he would contact me and follow up with this. He never did, I had to continually follow up with him. Then he lied and said he spoke with the warehouse and it would be on the truck on wed. I called that Friday and he told me it should have been there Thursday and didn't know why it was not delivered. Then he proceeded to tell me that "he was on top of it." Considering that I had to follow up with this company every step of the way, I just wanted to laugh at his ludicrous statement. Still waiting for the cabinet by the way. Lesson learn do not pay until all the cabinets were inspected. If there was an option for half a star, this company would get it. read more
