    Blueberry French toast
    Neha G.

June 19, 2026 review ---- We there in morning around 10:15am. I had reservations made for 9:30am but got late and by the time I reached there, my tables were already gone.so had to wait another 30mins. Waiting area space is not so great, we were standing in the middle of entrance and had one of our friends with toddler. Food is decent for the price you pay. Wait time for food after ordering is also moderate. We started with a kids meal and placed order for our coffee. We got blueberry French toast and veg omelette which came with side of potatoes. I personally didn't like the French toast very well. It was missing the crispyness. Omelette was good

A brunch restaurant with your classic dishes of eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, French toast, etc. Food was good, could use some more flavor as it for my dishes. Portions were fair for the pricing. Service was friendly and attentive. Interior was spacious and had a local feel, fitting of their name.

Food - good. Service - interesting. Ambiance - decent. Friends and I went there on a recommendation and we were looking forward to it. Sadly, it didn't live up to the expectations. I got there an hour early and but my name on the list for 12:00p for a group of six. After five of us arrived, I let the host know five were here and one was exiting the highway almost here. After we all arrived, and I let the host know, they said it would be another 20ish minutes because they gave our table away due to the one being late. Late?!?!?! It was five minutes till 12:00. Once we finally got seated, our server was friendly but forgetful. He had to be new because he didn't know the menu. One of us ordered the monte cristo and he didn't know what that was. Another asked for carbonated water, he didn't know if they had that. It was just interesting. Once the food came, it was good, but not consistent. Those that got the potatoes, they were not all cooked the same. Some were over cooked and some under. It was just disappointing.

It was worth every single minute I waited to be seated. The atmosphere in here during the wait was so nice, and it was all thanks to the staff. They make the wait time enjoyable by talking, smiling, and kidding around. We all broke out laughing when an older couple in their nineties walked right past me and took my seat at the counter. It was the funniest thing. But I was still able to get a seat at the counter, and what a joy that was. I wished I knew the guy's name and the names of the gentlemen behind him delivering the food. They were the best group of people! I know you all are waiting on the food review! Well, I'll tell you that everything was perfectly made, thanks to a great staff! I hope this place never loses its charm, its friendliest staff, and the fluffiest of pancakes. I've never met a group of people who can make you feel so great and deliver the best breakfast.

Came back to Home Kitchen with a friend for brunch on a weekday. Definitely not busy as the weekends, so if you've got time to have something to eat and chill, Home Kitchen has all the vibes. My friend ordered the turkey club and I ordered a patty melt. Turkey club had generous portions to have brunch and dinner or share with another person. It was very tasty and had great flavor to it. TW: if you've don't like horseradish, don't order the patty melt. The horseradish on the patty melt was over powering that I couldn't taste the patty melt. Unfortunately, I had it sent back and management came back and redid my patty melt without the horseradish. Overall the patty melt was great (w/o the horseradish). Our server was pretty cool and he kept checking in on us to make sure we were enjoying the food. This was really appreciated. Plan on coming back again to try other items on the menu.

Home Kitchen is a great spot to grab breakfast, brunch, or lunch in the Round Rock area where everyone can find something on the menu they will enjoy and you'll receive great service for a reasonable price! FAST FACTS: * Parking - lot around the building with plenty of free parking * Reservations - not available but you can join the waitlist through their website * Online ordering - available on their website during their hours of operation * Closed on Mondays * Weekly specials (check their website or Facebook page) * Join the Home Kitchen VIP on their website and save 10% on your first online order SERVICE - All of the workers were pleasant and hard working! We arrived at 9:30 am on a Sunday morning and were seated right away. Our server took our order quickly, food came out fast, and workers were clearing tables as we finished with them. Coffee refills were offered throughout the meal. Great experience! PRICING - I think the pricing is reasonable considering the food quality and portion size. There are some uncharges for things like swapping out sides or ingredients but that's to be expected. BEST ITEMS: * Oreo white chocolate chip pancakes - fluffy and a great size... I definitely want to try other flavors they offer * Classic eggs Benedict - exactly what you expect... the poached eggs were runny, the Canadian bacon was tender but had a nice crisp on the outside, a good portion of hollandaise, and a perfectly toasted English muffin * Egg white burrito - I love this as a more health-conscious option... it comes with fruit as the side and the wrap is very filling because it's packed with egg whites and turkey for extra protein This was my second time visiting Home Kitchen (first time was for lunch) and I will definitely be back to try other items! I'd recommend it to others looking for a casual but tasty option for breakfast, brunch, or lunch with family or friends. They get crowded on the weekends but have lots of seating and the wait goes quickly.

First Visit: I decided to try this spot after several friends recommended it. Ambiance: Parking is limited, but since I visited on a Wednesday morning, it wasn't too difficult to find a space. Inside, the setup is clean and inviting, with tables arranged neatly and a small bar area that looks into the kitchen. Service: The experience started off a bit rocky. The "host" wasn't attentive and barely acknowledged me when I walked in. Even after seating me, there was little to no interaction until the waiter arrived about four minutes later--despite the restaurant not being busy. Once the server came over, things improved. He was friendly, answered my questions, and kept my water refilled without me having to ask. Food: I like trying something different when I go out for breakfast, and this dish definitely qualified. I ordered a scramble, expecting the potatoes, green peppers, and bacon to be mixed into the eggs. Instead, the eggs were placed on top like an omelet. Not what I expected, but still decent. Overall, the food was okay--nothing bad, just not standout. Overall: For me, the experience was just okay. I'd still suggest giving them a try, but it wasn't quite the hype my friends made it out to be.

Really cute restaurant with a great menu of Tex Mex and American breakfast offerings. Similar set up to a First Watch but their food menu was more unique and I appreciated that they had a variety of sweet pancakes and waffle options for brunch plus a good savory breakfast menu. The service could have used improvement, our first greeter at the table was a young waitress whose attitude gave "IDGAF" and was downright unpleasant while taking our coffee order. Thankfully they switched her out w a waiter who was much more professional and knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed our food when it was brought out. Overall it was a good experience, other than the less than pleasant interaction at the beginning. Would recommend if needing a good local place to stop w kids.

    Did build your own omelette.

Food was average. The omelette was made like something I'd expected. Maybe I'm just picky. Too much cheese can be lot. But flavor was good. Coffee was good. Service was nice.

First timer here! Really enjoyed our visit here. Staff was super nice and helpful even though they were very busy. Decent sized place with plenty seating. We sat at the bar and got service right away. Bigger groups definitely had a longer wait. I chose the special and it was really good. I liked the chicken sausage. Would like crispier potatoes but that's a personal preference. The French toast was amazing. This one had cream cheese in it and it took it to another level. I'd definitely come back again sometime!

First time here. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict. It was good but would be great if eggs were poached soft vs medium. The home style potatoes are fantastic. Made the way they should be always made. Corned beef hash was exceptionally delicious. Perfection. The Monte Christo was good. Bennigan's still makes best. Bacon side is another grand slam of perfection. Great thick strips of perfectly cooked bacon. Definitely a great choice for breakfast. Parking is tight on a busy Saturday morning. Counter seating is great but they need a foot bar for added comfort. I definitely recommend Home Kitchen and will definitely return.

When we found out, we rushed over for a Father's day meal. The atmosphere was pretty cool, interesting pictures on the walls, someone put a lot of effort, time and thought into the decorating of this establishment. All men running the joint, we told the guy who took our order(who was very nice), it was our first time here. They have been in business for 16 years(not at this location)! So lets get down to the food. My Husband ordered the two dog combo, one a Chicago dog, another a sauerkraut dog, it came with fries. He sad the dogs were amazing, they hit all the marks. The fries were ok, a little room temp(but to be fare we came there 30 minutes before closing). The soda's were really great, not two sirupy, not too carbonated, we enjoyed them. I ordered a pizza with Italian sausage added. They gave us our drinks for free, which was awesome. I didn't know what to expect with the pizza, but I was blown away by it. They should be very proud of the recipe they created. Most places over season/spice their sauces. The flavor of the tomato gets drowned out. This was absolutely not the case the sauce did not sow out the crust whatsoever it held its crisp the whole time. The sausage was wonderful. The cheese was everything you wanted on a pizza. I can say it's the best than crust pizza I think I've ever had. My husband tried it and we fought over who was going to be eating it for lunch tomorrow. It was huge. I wasn't expecting it to be that big. I will be dreaming about that pizza, and craving it. This is my go to place to get good pizza. It blows Nikki's out of the water. If you are craving some good then crust, pizza, or hotdog I suggest you go there. They also have chili fries, cheesesteaks, so much. They have one of those menus, where everything looks good, and it's hard to decide. Just try it. Warning, this pizza is 14 in(seemed bigger), and it being thin crust, and tasting so good, you might find yourself eating the whole thing. Wish we had pics to post, but we did not think of doing it, will do next time(which will probably be later this week, it was that good).

They offer two sizes, and we ordered the smaller regular Americana Cheesesteak, the Cartel, a shared order of fries, and two fountain drinks. Our total came to about $35, which felt like a good value for the amount of food. Service was friendly and they served our food to the table very fast. The fries were your typical frozen fries and came unseasoned, but that wasn't a big deal. We added our own seasoning. One thing to note is that they only serve Pepsi products. That's a big bummer for me because I'm a Dr Pepper girl, but it isn't a complete dealbreaker because they also offer tea. Now let's talk about my sandwich. It was loaded with so much meat that I couldn't even fit it in my mouth! I ended up taking some of the meat out and adding it to the fries, which turned out yummy. The steak was well seasoned, and the lettuce, tomato, and mayo ratio tasted perfect. If you're looking for a hearty cheesesteak that will definitely fill you up, Wise Guys is worth checking out. I'll definitely be back!

I came back and waited about a minutes before I was acknowledged, I was sat and the waitress was attentive. I wanted to try the arepita appetizer which is normally served with shredded beef/pork or chicken on the side- to get a side of plantains instead of meat, it was going to add 3$ to the 14$ appetizer so I just opted to omit the meat all together and still had to pay the $14 ...which I don't feel is appropriate- people always wanna add money to sub a veggie for meat but never reduce the price when just removing the meat all together. Anyways, Ordered my food which was out promptly, the veggie bowl was delicious as always and the arepita appetizer (no meat) was good- reminded me of a fried potatoe cake, I used the arepitas as a vessel for my veggie bowl ! I brought the remainder of my bowl home where I bit into something very hard , once pulling it out of my mouth I discovered some beef snuck it's way into my dish- disappointing forsure but it is the first time out of about 10 times this has happened here. Prices have gone up over the last few years my veggie bowl was 18$.

John passed away in early 2024, while his family took over the shop in Pflugerville. Now just about a decade after opening shop, Brotherton's is closing down at the end of August. Following John's passing, they've hit a few road bumps from the rising cost of beef that's been plaguing Texas BBQ. Earlier in January they posted on social media how they were struggling, and again last spring. At the start of August, the Brotherton's family announced Brotherton's Black Iron BBQ in Pflugerville was shuttering for good at the end of August. Knowing this would be the last time I would be able to try it, my buddy and I took an extended lunch break on a Friday to give it a shot. Upon arrival at just around 11:50, we noticed that the parking lot was packed with multiple food trucks and other businesses filling the shopping center. We got lucky with a parking spot far away as we marched inside to wait in line. On the door lay plenty of stickers from different BBQ joints from Texas and beyond, with even some coming from overseas. The line moved slowly but surely, and as we got to the front we got our three-meat plate with a bonus slice of turkey for good measure. We ended up getting to Brotherton's at the perfect time because we got the final slices of brisket on that glorious Friday. I'll share my thoughts on everything we tried: Brisket: Though it looked like a great cut that was nicely seasoned, it was pretty fine overall. Nothing remarkable about their brisket while still very fatty. Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage: Juicy, cheesy, not really too spicy on the jalapeño side of things, but that might just be from the mildness of jalapeños these days. Pork Ribs: These suckers looked incredible from the pictures I saw online and on social media, but they were kinda disappointing based on how incredible they looked visually. They were good, just not as epic as I was hoping. Turkey: Turkey is underrated in the BBQ scene, and this is no exception. A nice cut of meat! Cornbread Casserole: I could've eaten the whole thing myself, so it was a shame that we were sharing. Green Chili Mac and Cheese: I'll repeat myself. I could've eaten the whole thing myself, so it was a shame that we were sharing. As a whole, I'm very glad I gave them a shot before I would never be able to again. That's the hardest part about Texas barbecue. The best places and the historic spots can drop in a moment's notice when hardships hit or the meat prices skyrocket. Sadly, I can tell that they're already at the end of their rope with certain menu options like the loaded nachos and baked potatoes, which always seem like the sign of the end. And with how the food was simply just decent overall, it's hard to justify the rising prices. I see reviews all over saying their quality has fallen off year after year following JMFB's passing, and it makes sense: he was the heart and the soul of the business. When that vaporizes overnight, it's only a matter of time. I don't wish for the downfall of any spot, but I understand that it's bound to happen to certain ones.
